How to install Windows XP

Step 1 : Prepare The Boot

Insert the windows XP cd in your CDROM and than go to the BIOS by hitting “DEL” or “F12″ when your system in powering on. Go to Boot order and make sure CDROM is on the first place.

Save settings and restart your computer.

Once you have successfully booted from the CD, you will see the Windows XP “Welcome to Setup” screen. Press ENTER to begin the setup process.

Step 2: Accept the license agreement

When you see the Windows XP license agreement press F8 to accept it and proceed.

Step 3: Searching for Previous Versions of Windows XP

Setup will search for existing Windows installations. You will see the next “repair or install fresh copy” screen appear only if a Windows installation currently exists on your machine. If you’re installing on a brand-new hard drive, skip to Step 5.

Step 4:Continue Installing a Fresh Copy

Press ESC. You will be given a list of partitions available on your hard drive.

Step 5: Partitions

If there are multiple partitions on your hard drive, or you have multiple hard drives in the computer, use the UP or DOWN arrow keys to choose your install partition. Please note that your system partition needs to be a primary partition (usually the first partition that shows up in the list), not a logical partition.
The partition should be at least 10 GB in size. Make sure that all the data you need from this partition is copied elsewhere, because it will be deleted.

Once you have selected the right partition selected, press ENTER. You will see the next “you already have a system installed” screen only if you already have Windows installed on this partition. If you are installing on a brand-new hard drive, skip to Step 7.

Step 6: Continue Installing On The Selected Drive

Press C to continue. You will be given a list of install options

Step 7: Format The Selected Partition

Select the option to “Format the partition using the NTFS file system (quick) and press ENTER.You will receive a warning about formatting the drive unless the drive is brand-new.

Step 8: Continue With The Format

Press F to continue formatting selected partition. If you still haven’t backed up, this is the last change to backup your important data, after this step you will not to able to go back and restore your data.

Step 9: Copying Files

After the format setup will automatically copy files and restart your computer. Go to BIOS and remove cdrom from first boot device. Start your computer.

Step 10: Automatic Installation After Restart

Setup will continue to install after the restart. it will ask you for the product key and user name etc. Fill the forms yourself.

How to ACTIVATE Windows XP without any software!

This is a simple but effective registry hack that has been tried and tested several times by me and it works!!
If you don't believe me then try this for yourself!

1 - Start menu/run/ type "regedit" and press enter,
this will take you to the registry editor

2 - Now follow this directory:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/WindowsNT/CurrentVersion/WPAEvents

3 - When you get to WPAEvents in the righthand column there should be "OOBETimer"
right click it and go to "modify"
Change the numbers in there to :

FF D5 71 D6 8B 6A 8D 6F d5 33 93 FD (this works with Windows XP Home and Pro, both 32 and 64bit versions)

4 - When you've entered them, right click on the file "WPAEvents" and go into "permissions"

5 - In there highlight "SYSTEM" and underneath it check the two boxes under "deny" and click "OK"

Phew thats it!!! I know it looks complicated but it's really easy, it just requires patience.

I tried this when I used up the amount of times you can activate Windows XP, it worked a treat!

To check that Windows is activated, simply click on Start menu/All Programs/Activate Windows.

It will say "Windows is already activated".

The introduction of Page Element into New Blogger has made editing Blogger template hassle free as compared to Blogger Classic. There is one problem though for Blogger users. You are not allowed to add more Page Elements for the Header section.
As you can see from the picture below, the Header section has no "Add a Page Element" function.

Look for the following code as shown in the picture below.

Change the value for maxwidget='1' to the number of elements that you wish to have on your Header section. If you change the value for maxwidget to 3, then you will be allowed to add 2 additional elements to your header. The remaining one element has been reserved for your header title widget. Say for example you decide to set the total elements to 3, your code should be:
You're almost done. The last step is to enable the "Add a Page Element" function for your header. Use the code shown below:

Copy and add the code to the original code. Your final code should look like this:

Save the changes you've made to your template. Go to Page Elements tab. You should now be able to add new elements to your Header Section.

The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) developed by the United States Department of Defense. It is the only fully functional GNSS in the world. It uses a constellation of between 24 and 32 Medium Earth Orbit satellites that transmit precise microwave signals, which enable GPS receivers to determine their current location, the time, and their velocity. Its official name is NAVSTAR GPS. Although NAVSTAR is not an acronym,[1] a few backronyms have been created for it.[2] The GPS satellite constellation is managed by the United States Air Force 50th Space Wing. GPS is often used by civilians as a navigation system. After Korean Air Lines Flight 007 was shot down in 1983 after straying into the USSR's prohibited airspace,[3] President Ronald Reagan issued a directive making GPS freely available for civilian use as a common good.[4] Since then, GPS has become a widely used aid to navigation worldwide, and a useful tool for map-making, land surveying, commerce, scientific uses, and hobbies such as geocaching. Also, the precise time reference is used in many applications including the scientific study of earthquakes. GPS is also a required key synchronization resource of cellular networks, such as the Qualcomm CDMA air interface used by many wireless carriers in a multitude of countries.[citation needed] The first satellite navigation system, Transit, used by the United States Navy, was first successfully tested in 1960. Using a constellation of five satellites, it could provide a navigational fix approximately once per hour. In 1967, the U.S. Navy developed the Timation satellite which proved the ability to place accurate clocks in space, a technology that GPS relies upon. In the 1970s, the ground-based Omega Navigation System, based on signal phase comparison, became the first worldwide radio navigation system. The design of GPS is based partly on similar ground-based radio navigation systems, such as LORAN and the Decca Navigator developed in the early 1940s, and used during World War II. Additional inspiration for the GPS came when the Soviet Union launched the first Sputnik in 1957. A team of U.S. scientists led by Dr. Richard B. Kershner were monitoring Sputnik's radio transmissions. They discovered that, because of the Doppler effect, the frequency of the signal being transmitted by Sputnik was higher as the satellite approached, and lower as it continued away from them. They realized that since they knew their exact location on the globe, they could pinpoint where the satellite was along its orbit by measuring the Doppler distortion.
Basic concept of GPS
A GPS receiver calculates its position by carefully timing the signals sent by the GPS satellites high above the Earth. Each satellite continually transmits messages containing the time the message was sent, precise orbital information (the ephemeris), and the general system health and rough orbits of all GPS satellites (the almanac). The receiver measures the transit time of each message and computes the distance to each satellite. Geometric trilateration is used to combine these distances with the location of the satellites to determine the receiver's location. The position is displayed, perhaps with a moving map display or latitude and longitude; elevation information may be included. Many GPS units also show derived information such as direction and speed, calculated from position changes.

It might seem three satellites are enough to solve for position, since space has three dimensions. However a very small clock error multiplied by the very large speed of light[5]—the speed at which satellite signals propagate—results in a large positional error. The receiver uses a fourth satellite to solve for x, y, z, and t which is used to correct the receiver's clock. While most GPS applications use the computed location only and effectively hide the very accurately computed time, it is used in a few specialized GPS applications such as time transfer and traffic signal timing.
Although four satellites are required for normal operation, fewer apply in special cases. If one variable is already known (for example, a ship or plane may have known elevation), a receiver can determine its position using only three satellites. Some GPS receivers may use additional clues or assumptions (such as reusing the last known altitude, dead reckoning, inertial navigation, or including information from the vehicle computer) to give a degraded position when fewer than four satellites are visible (see [6], Chapters 7 and 8 of [7], and [8]).
Position calculation introduction
To provide an introductory description of how a GPS receiver works, measurement errors will be ignored in this section. Using messages received from a minimum of four visible satellites, a GPS receiver is able to determine the satellite positions and time sent. The x, y, and z components of position and the time sent are designated as \left [x_i, y_i, z_i, t_i\right ] where the subscript i is the satellite number and has the value 1, 2, 3, or 4. Knowing the indicated time the message was received \ tr_i, the GPS receiver can compute the indicated transit time, \left (tr_i-t_i\right ) . of the message. Assuming the message traveled at the speed of light, c, the distance traveled, \ p_i can be computed as \left (tr_i-t_i\right )c . Knowing the distance from GPS receiver to a satellite and the position of a satellite implies that the GPS receiver is on the surface of a sphere centered at the position of a satellite. Thus we know that the indicated position of the GPS receiver is at or near the intersection of the surfaces of four spheres. In the ideal case of no errors, the GPS receiver will be at an intersection of the surfaces of four spheres. The surfaces of two spheres, if they intersect in more than one point, intersect in a circle. A figure, Two Sphere Surfaces Intersecting in a Circle, is shown below. Two points at which the surfaces of the spheres intersect are clearly shown in the figure. The distance between these two points is the diameter of the circle of intersection.

Before now I guest that blending Google Adsense color with our site will give best income than the other color. For example if the site background is white, black for font and blue for hyperlink so we choose set color for Adsense with white backgroun and border, black for font and blue for hyperlink. If you use this trick your Adsense code will looks like part of your site and not the ads. So people will enjoy click if the interest with the adsense content. Remember almost all users are lazy to click ads even less banner.

How to Change Default Editor in Windows and Fax Viewer in Windows XP

One of the nicest features in Windows XP is the Windows and Fax Viewer that lets you quickly preview, rotate, print, delete, or edit pictures on your computer. You can also show multiple pictures in a slideshow format. Unfortunately there are some things that need tweaking to make the Windows and Fax viewer more user friendly.
When you try to edit a saved picture, the default viewer is Windows Paint program. A very rudimentary photo/picture editor that does not offer more advanced functions of most photo editing software. You can easily change the default type for JPG, GIF, and other photo types to your preferred photo editor such as Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks, Paint Shop Pro, or other photo editing software. However, in most cases this means changing the program that previews these images too.
What if you want to preview images in the Windows and Fax Viewer, however when you click the edit button you want them image to open in your preferred program instead of Paint. There is a way to do this, it just takes some advanced editing of the file types. Follow the steps below to accomplish this.

Open My Computer

Click on Tools

Click on Folder Options

Click on the File Types tab

Select the file type to change (in most cases this will be either JPG or GIF)

Under the "Opens With" option, make sure the Windows and Fax Viewer is the chosen application. If it is not, click the CHANGE button and choose Windows and Fax Viewer and click Ok.

Click on the Advanced button. In some cases, you may have a Restore option instead. You'll need to choose Restore to change the default application and then click on the Advanced button to proceed.

Under the Actions sections, you'll want to find two important actions: Open and Edit

Click on the Open action and click on the Edit button, look for the following section
Application used to perform action

The application listed should be the following to use the Windows and Fax Viewer
rundll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen %1
You'll notice this viewer uses rundll32 and a dll file to open the image, instead of a normal exe program file.

Verify the Open command is correct and click Ok

Now find the Edit action. If it is not listed do the following:

Click New

Type Edit for the action
Type the path and program name for the chosen photo editor

Ex. "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\Photoshop.exe" "%1"

You'll need to quotes around the path and the %1 in order for things to work properly.

Click Ok twice

If the Edit action is listed, then select Edit and click the Edit button
Change the application command line to point to your chosen photo editing program. Using the same concepts as shown in Step 12.
Click Ok and close the Folder Options window and My Computer
Find a image on your computer and double-click on it to test. The Windows and Fax viewer should open showing the picture, now click the Edit option on the bottom toolbar and your picture should open in your desired photo editing program.

Slipstreaming Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Create Bootable CD

Download the (full) “Network Install” of the Service Pack (English version [266 MB]), and save it to a directory (folder) on your hard drive (in my case D:\XP-SP2).
Note: do not use spaces in the folder name
Next copy your Windows XP CD to your hard drive. Just create a folder (I used \XP-CD), and copy all the contents of your Windows XP CD in that folder
Next, open a Command Prompt (Start > Run > cmd), and go to the folder where you downloaded SP2 (cd \foldername). Type the command: servicepack filename /integrate:drive/path. In my example the command is WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU /integrate:D:\XP-CD.
If you get the error:
This is caused by the fact that your Windows XP CD contains updates that will be automatically installed when you run setup. This type of CD’s will usually be from larger OEM suppliers (like Dell, HP, or others).
You cannot use this type of CD to create a slipstreamed SP2 install.
First, the files will be extracted, and next they will be integrated in your Windows XP files:
When ready, you should get a confirmation. Windows XP Service Pack 2 has now been Slipstreamed into your original Windows XP files.Creating a Bootable CD
For this part I used IsoBuster and Nero Burning ROM 6 (make sure you have the latest version, but at least 5.5.9.0).
After you install IsoBuster, you can choose to use only the product’s free functionality for what we want to do, IsoBuster will look like the image below (you need to have your original Windows XP CD in the CD-ROM drive).
Start to extract the boot loader from the original Windows XP CD. Using IsoBuster, select the “folder” Bootable CD, and right-click Microsoft Corporation.img. From the menu choose Extract Microsoft Corporation.img, and extract it to the folder on your hard drive where you have your Windows XP files (D:\XP-CD in my case).
Next, start Nero Burning ROM, and choose CD-ROM (Boot) in the New Compilation window. On the Boot tab, select Image file under Source of boot image data, and browse to the location of the Microsoft Corporation.img file. Also enable Expert Settings, choosing No Emulation, and changing the Number of loaded sectors to 4 (otherwise it won’t boot!)The ISO tab should be configured correctly as shown below:
If you have an older version of Nero you won’t have the option.
Do Not Add “;1″ ISO file version extention under Relax ISO Restrictions. You won’t be able to boot your new CD, so update Nero!
You can configure the Label tab to your liking, I would however recommend that you keep the Volume Label the same as on your original Windows XP CD. Here are some (English) Labels:
# Windows XP Professional: WXPCCP_EN
# Windows XP Home: WXHCCP_EN
# Windows XP Professional OEM: WXPOEM_EN
# Windows XP Home OEM: WXHOEM_EN
Next press New, and from the File Browser window, select the files and folders from your slipstreamed location (in my case D:\XP-CD). Now drag & drop the selected files in the ISO1 window.
Next, burn your new CD.
You now have a Bootable, Slipstreamed Windows XP Service Pack 2 CD!
