Moonchip Custom Code in Article is a plugin that allows you to place custom code anywhere in your Joomla! articles, there are 6 custom code slots for you to use, for example simply enter your custom code into an empty slot 1 in the plugin backend and then in your Joomla! article type in the tag {custcode1} and the custom code will appear in the article in the front end, to use the other custom code slots use tags {custcode2} - {custcode6} in the articles of your site.

To start simply install the plugin and then make sure it's enabled.

The plugin must be enabled for it to work when you type in the tags {custcode1} {custcode2} etc into your articles.

In the plugin backend choose a slot where you want to place your custom code, there are 6 slots in total.

The custom code label is for back-end reference only and won't show in the front end, the custom code box is where you paste your custom code.

Adding Custom Code to an Article

In the Joomla! backend article editor simply type in the tag {custcode1} anywhere in the article you want your custom code to appear, you may also use the formatting options in the article editor such as aligning the custom code to the left or right, you may also use formatting options in the custom code itself in the plugin backend.

You may use any custom code you want from any source.

Please make sure you use the relevant tag for the back end custom code slot you are using, for example: use tag {custcode1} in your articles for custom code slot 1 and {custcode2} {custcode3} {custcode4} {custcode5} {custcode6} for the others.

When you visit the front end of your site your custom code should appear in the article I have used social share buttons as an example.

Moonchip Fake whos online for Jomsocial is a set of 2 modules that allows you to display a fake amount of users online on your Jomsocial site.

In the back-end there are very few options to help you set your fake members on your Jomsocial site.

(1)The first module is designed to replace the built in who's online on the Jomsocial frontpage.

(2)The second module is a stand alone module which just like any other module can be placed anywhere on your sites template.

Both Modules will show the end user logged in and will also show fake members too, it comes with all of the fake avatars so you don't have to worry about setting up fake profiles either.

Setting Up

This option allows you to choose the minimum and maximum amount of users you want online, the module will choose a random number between these values for you.

You don't want a fixed static amount of users online, you want this number to fluctuate giving the illusion of users logging on and off, the amount of users online will never go above or below the values you set here.

This option is how long the current online members and guests should be displayed for (in seconds).

If you set this to 30 seconds that means the front end module will display the current total for 30 seconds, after this time expires a new total will be displayed (randomly chosen) for another 30 seconds and so on... This is the key to creating realistic traffic fluctuation on your site.

Other Languages

If your site is another language fear not as there is no language file to edit, simply type in how you want the members/guests text to appear in the front-end here.

Final result

Now both modules are set up they will work and sync together to show the same users logged into your site.

Moonchip Custom Code for Jomsocial is a module that allows you to insert code into a module that blends in with any Jomsocial template

There are very few options in the backend, one of the options "module title" which is normally set on the right hand pane is necessary because the module overrides the normal styling from your Joomla! template.

The "custom code" area is where you would type in your custom code.

The "alignment" options allows you to set the alignment of your code within the module.

The "Module class suffix" should be set to cSidebar and left this way as this is the styling taken from the Jomsocial template.

When setting up the module make sure you set it to the position "js_side_bottom" this is a built in module position for Jomsocial more info here.

Once the module is complete you can see that it blends seamlessly with the Jomsocial template.

The module title is taken from the backend option and sits above the code just like other parts of the jomsocial template.

The Custom code is centered in the postion again from the options in the backend.

The Moonchip FB like box for Jomsocial is a like box that blends seamlessly within your Jomsocial template.

The back end has very few options and is quick and easy to set up.

The Like box title is simply the text that will appear at the top of the like box this is normally something like "Find us on facebook" or "Like us on facebook"

The Facebook page is the text from the page URL in the example here Jomsocial's facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/jomsocial so I would simply type in "jomsocial" there is no need to enter the full URL.

The width controls the width of the avatars that displays within the module.

Front end module

Moonchip Subscribe to Mailchimp is a module that allows your users to subscribe to your mailchimp list by simply entering their email address.

Simply enable the module, set up you mailchimp deatils and your users can now sign up.

In the backend settings, you can set up the modules MailChimp options.

Enter your MailChimp API key and your MailChimp list ID, you can find these in you MailChimp account.

The pretext is the text that appears above the subscribe box on the module.

The Email text and Subscribe text is the text that appears in the input box and on the subscribe button.
