This is a very special piece, being that it is a large sized Flown to the moon US Flag, measuring 16x11 inches it is several times the size of a standard 6x4 inch flown flag, but only slightly more expensive

Framed using archival materials, and hand signed on the mount by all 3 of the crew of Apollo 12, Charles Conrad, Dick Gordon and Alan Bean.

Apollo 12 Flown UN Space Treaty

This is a 8x5 inch printed "Agreement on the Rescue of Astronauts, the Return of Astronauts, and the Return of Objects Launched into Outer Space." Flown to lunar orbit on Apollo 12 in Alan Bean's PPK. Bean has inscribed the piece, "Flown To The Moon Nov 1969 Apollo 12 Alan Bean"

Apollo 8 Flown Texas State Flag

6x4 inch Texas State Flag was flown to the Moon aboard the first manned lunar mission, Apollo 8 in December 1968. Mounted onto a 10x12inch display card with actual hand signed signatures from the Apollo 8 Crew, Jim Lovell, Bill Anders and Frank Borman

Apollo 13 Flown LM Netting

This is a piece of netting flown around the moon on the Apollo 13 mission. It was located in the Lunar Module to prevent objects from floating around, and was removed and transferred to the command module, just before the LM was jettisonned to burn up in Earths atmosphere.

Items from the Apollo 13 LM are very desirable and this piece is a good sized example

Gene Cernan Guided Tour Prints

In the past we have offered several Apollo panoramas with Astronaut hand written labelled features, from Alan Bean, Charlie Duke, Ed Mitchell and Dave Scott, but for the first time we now have available Guided Tour prints from Apollo 17's Gene Cernan!

There are 2 different prints to choose form The Station 5 panorama show Harrison Schmitt running to the Rover near Camelot Crater, and the second is the magnificent vista at Shorty crater. Cernan has hand labled features in the images such as the Massifs, craters and even the spot where Orange Soil was discovered

Also available are standard signed prints by Cernan of the landing site

LRO Images the Apollo Landing Sites

These amazing photos taken by the Lunar Reconnaisssance Orbiter (LRO) show the closest ever orbital photos of the Apollo landing sites.

The Lunar Modules appear as a small white dot, but as the sun was at a low angle, their shadows are more prominent.

In the Apollo 14 image you can clearly see the tracks made by the Astronauts while they pulled their MET across the surface.

I have overlaid the Apollo 14 image over the Apollo 14 traverse map, and the features match exactly, with Doublet craters to the top left, and Triplet craters to the bottom right.
The LM and ALSEP also match up.

Cone Crater is not visible in this image, but is about 1 mile to the North East

Whats great about these is that they are complete and intact flown items, that are under $1,000! Most Apollo flown items for under $1,000 are cut pieces of cloth, Kapton foil or small bits of heat shield. But these medalets are whole, and untouched, mint items.

They have been framed with a small Apollo 16 Moonpan, 2 patches and a brass plaque. And come with a numbered COA. These are being offered to list members first, and will then be offered worldwide, so if you want one you better be quick!

Apollo 16 South Carolina Flag Flown to the Lunar Surface

This is a great flown item, because it actually spent 3 Days on the Lunar Surface. Most other Apollo flown items offered for sale are Lunar Orbit only items.

This flag comes from Apollo 16 moonwalker, Charlie Duke's personal collection and is of his home state of South Carolina. Charlie had provided 3 forms of provenance, a COA, photos of him holding the piece, and he also inscribed the piece, however it is a little hard to read as it was with blue ink on a blue item!

A new Apollo Exhibit has just been completed that uses a Moonpans panoramic image. The display at the Royal Ontario Musuem, Canada is 9 feet wide and 6.5 feet high.

The panorama is from Apollo 17 and shows Astronaut, Harrison Schmitt bouncing over to the Lunar Rover close to Camelot Crater.

Apollo 11 crew signed Insurance Cover (Dow Unicover)

This is the rarest of the 3 types of Apollo 11 Insurance Covers, Apollo 11 was the first mission to issue insurance covers as a way to provide money to the astronauts families should they not return from the moon. These covers were signed by all 3 of the crew of Apollo 11 some time before their flight in July 1969

Apollo 13 Flown EVA Prep Card

This Card is printed on very heavy cardstock,and measures 10.25 x 7.75 inches. And was intended to be used when Jim Lovell and Fred Haise were preparing to leave the Lunar Module sitting on the Lunar Surface at Fra Mauro, in order to perform their first EVA on the moon. However, the explosion of an oxygen tank in the command module, put an end to the lunar landing and alas this card serves as a reminder of what could have been.

Gemini Signed Covers

Previously we had posted some Mercury signed covers, which all got snapped up straight away, so last we we put up some more Mercury covers, and today some fantastic Gemini Crew covers, including a very rare Gemini 10 cover signed by both John Young and Michael Collins!

Some of the covers were noted are Plugged 9 covers, these are covers which were stamped with a back dated stamp well after the mission, but other were stamped on the actual mission date.

Apollo Archive Film from Footagevault

A new online film archive specialising in Space footage has just been developed by Dr Chistopher Riley worked on the BBC space history series 'The Planets' and the new Apollo Documentary film "In The Shadow Of The Moon". And Alex Kandaurov, a Russian video reasearcher who spent many years recovering Russian 20th Century history footage.

The site is fully searchable allowing users to find movie clips from a wide variety of space missions. Footage is available in many formats, from free low resolution clips, to full broadcast quality clips.
