My father is always lecturing me about how I shouldn’t live alone. He thinks that since I am not married I should be at home with him and my mom. I know he is just old fashioned and worried about me, but it gets very annoying to listen to him. It’s like he’s living in the Stone Age. I try to tell him that I have learned a lot of home security facts and that I know how to take care of myself, but he will never understand. It has gotten to the point where I don’t even want to go over my parents’ house anymore because I always feel like I am being attacked. My mom tries to tell my dad how wrong he is, but then they just start fighting over it. It has just gotten to be too stressful for me, so I just limit my time with them. I think that after he sees that I don’t want to spend time with them he might cool it. It’s a new tactic that I’m hoping will work.
