This month I had the pleasure of designing the kit for the February Daily Berry Bytes at Berry Sweet Scraps. The kit is called P. S.: I Love You and is simply perfect for our month of LOVE. Day 12 is Here

Today is the last of our 12 Days of Christmas. I'm sorry it's so late but real life got in the way today. Last night when I laid down with my GS to put him to sleep, I feel asleep too. Then this morning I just couldn't seem to get motivated to and by noon I felt I was coming down with a migraine but thanks to a nap and some good meds, I was able to get back up and finish this for you guys. Something I was determined to do.

12 Days of Christmas Freebies - Day 8

Well we're on the down hill side of these freebies now. These Maids and Lords are a little more difficult to make page borders out of but I did my best and think it looks pretty good. Yesterday was pretty quiet. I cooked the traditional Southern New Year's dinner of Hoppin' Johns (black-eyed peas & rice), Collards, baked Sweet Potatoes, thick-sliced bacon and cornbread. My Dad and SIL gave me the best compliment in the world when they declared it the "best they had ever eaten." I was simply over joyed as my Dad never compliments my food - he likes things plain & simple like my mom and grandmother made it and seasoned with fried meat grease; I like to experiment and try to cook things a little more light and healthy. So you see my surprise.

I plan on spending today clean up. The house, my computer, scrap files, etc - wish me luck on getting that done - and catching up on some things. I've got so much that needs to done. But enough of that. Here's what you came for. Day 8.

It's hard to believe that another year has come and gone. Looking back I look on many wonderful memories. My niece graduating from high school. My DD graduating from college (only to tell me she is going on and getting another degree before she finishes). My GS playing in his first tee-ball game and soccer game. Watching my GS learn to boogie board at the beach. His first day of school. Birthdays...The list goes on and on. Many have been scrapped but many are still saved away in their files on my hard drive waiting to be scrapped. But in time each of these memories will be scrapped. Berry Sweet Scraps Is OPEN!!!!!

That's right!!! At 12:00 midnight tonight Berry Sweet Scraps opens their doors with tons of fun, challenges, contests, prizes, great designers, awesome sales and some of the best scrap kits you will be able to find on the net. I'm so excited because this is the kind of store I dreamed of being in and now it's a reality. We have a great gallery that is already filling up with great layouts and tags and a forum that's one of the most active I've seen. Go check us out and I'm sure you will love it.

Speaking of challenges and contest, I'm hosting two during our Grand Opening. The first is a Quick Page Challenge. Pick your favorite Berry Sweet Scrap Designer's kit (it has to be one in the our store) and make a Quick Page out of it to be given away as a freebie. Then load it in the gallery with a link back to the kit and a link to download it. Go back to the challenge thread in the forum and post a preview of your QP and a link to the QP in the gallery. Then I want you to call on all your scrapping friends, groups you're in, blog about it, etc. and get them to come to our gallery and leave a comment. The person with the most comments on January 14 will get a $10.00 gift certificate to my store. 2nd place will receive a $5.00 gift certificate to my store and 3rd place with get a $3.00 gift certificate to my store. Everyone who participates will receive a coupon for $1.00 off a $5 purchase from my store. So get scrapping.

The second one is an "Oh So Random" contest. Go to the Contest thread in the forum and tell me anything your want, a kit of mine, a LO you saw in the gallery you loved, or some random thought that running through your head and I will go back randomly each day and give away random gifts from my store. It could be kits, gift certificates, coupons, pretty much anything I randomly think of.

Merry Christmas and a Freebie

Merry Christmas everyone. Sorry I haven't updated this as much as I should be over the holidays but life here in this one cow town has been pretty hectic. Between Christmas parties at school for my GS, Christmas Dance Recitals, parades, two funerals (sadly we lost an uncle and my DD's GM-in-law), a new baby (good friend's child), GS had minor surgery and life in general I've been pretty busy. I've also been really busy getting ready to open my new store at Berry Sweet Scraps. You guys are gonna love it there. We're not even open yet and I'm having a blast so I know you will. Grand Opening day is December 30, so mark your calendars, save the date and be there. I post later in the week about all that is going to go on there during GRAND OPENING.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Enjoyed lots of great food, fellowship with loved one and dear friends, and got what they wanted for Christmas. As for me, well I gifted myself the new PSE10 a few weeks back and I gave the entire family a big screen TV and a home theater system for the family room but I think the best present was the look on my GS sweet face when he opened up a toy shaving kit with spiderman on it. You would have thought I had given him a million dollars.

Speaking of gifts, here's one for you. I've always loved the song 12 Days of Christmas but this year I decided to look into what the 12 days really meant. I found lots of information including that they begin the day after Christmas commonly known as Boxing Day and end on January 6 with the celebration of Twelfth Night or the Feast of the Epiphany. There are lots of different traditions which go with it. Some giving gifts just on Christmas or Boxing Day and others giving gifts everyday with a special one on the 12th day. Since I love giving gifts I like the latter tradition. So today I give begin giving my twelve gifts to you.

I'm getting so excited!!!! It's Christmas Time, I'm moving into a new store and I've got a great Challenge for YOU!!!!
