He was so proud horse. One day it saw a snail at moving slowly and decides to challenge him to a race. The snail, feeling insulted, accepts the challenge, and they agree to race on Sunday. On the day of the race, the horse, confident in his speed, takes off quickly, while the snail moves at his own pace.

However, the snail cleverly enlists the help of other snails to create a distraction, and they all look identical. He was very well-known animal among all the animals leaves in the forest. The elephant was admired by all the animals because of its gentle nature and calm wisdom. Near the forest, there was a muddy stream where a mischievous pig lived. The pig loved rolling in the mud and playing tricks on others.

One sunny day, as the elephant was walking toward the stream to drink water, the pig jumped out of the stream, covered in mud, and started teasing the elephant.

Hey, elephant! You’re always so clean and boring. Why don’t you try rolling in the mud? It’s fun!” the pig laughed. The elephant smiled calmly and replied, “Thank you, pig, but I enjoy being clean and fresh.

Not satisfied, the pig splashed mud all over the elephant. The animals watching gasped, expecting the elephant to get angry and they started run away from the spot. But the elephant stayed calm and said, “It’s alright, pig. You can be yourself, and I’ll be myself.”

Instead of fighting back, the elephant walked to the river and washed itself until it was sparkling clean again. The pig watched, surprised. It had expected the elephant to get angry, but the elephant’s calm response left the pig curious.

Why didn’t you fight back, elephant? the pig asked as it waddled closer to the river. The elephant replied with a kind smile, fighting back would only make me dirty, pig. It’s better to stay calm and true to who I am.

The pig felt embarrassed by its behavior and realized the wisdom in the elephant’s words. From that day on, the pig decided to respect others’ choices and be kinder. Although it still loved rolling in the mud, it stopped splashing it on others.

The animals in the forest admired the elephant even more for its patience and wisdom. The temple elephant was loved by the villagers and known for its calm and gentle nature. The elephant helped with temple rituals, carried offerings, and was always clean and well-cared for.

Not far from the temple was a muddy swamp where a mischievous pig lived. The pig loved rolling in the mud and often mocked others for not joining in its messy fun. One day, as the temple elephant walked gracefully to the river for its daily bath, the pig spotted it and decided to cause trouble.

Hey, elephant! Why are you always so clean? It’s part of who I am.”

The pig smirked and, without warning, splashed mud all over the elephant. The villagers nearby gasped, expecting the elephant to lose its temper. But the temple elephant remained calm and said, “It’s alright, pig. You can enjoy the mud, but I’ll stay true to myself.”

The elephant walked to the river, washed off the mud, and returned to the temple as clean and serene as ever. The pig watched, confused and surprised. It had expected the elephant to get angry or fight back. Curious, the pig approached the elephant later and asked, “Why didn’t you get angry when I splashed mud on you?”

The elephant smiled and replied, “If I had fought back, I would have only made myself dirty. Staying calm and true to myself keeps me at peace. You see, I am a temple elephant, and I must reflect purity and dignity.”

The pig felt ashamed of its actions and realized the wisdom in the elephant’s words. From that day on, the pig decided to respect the elephant and others who were different from it. Once upon a time their lived a crow with its family in a big banyan tree. It was a hot summer day. Crow family got thirsty. Father crow went to search of water and he found some water and gave to its children and their mom. But father crow got thirsty. The water was not enough for him. He then fly to search of water.

The crow flying here and there in search of water. There was no water anywhere nearby anymore. At last; the father crow saw a pitcher lying nearby. But it had little water at the bottom.

The father crow inserted its beak into it, but the level of water was so low that it did not reach there. The crow saw some pebbles at a distance. Now it began to pick the pebbles by its beak and drop them in the pitcher, one by one, into the pitcher. In doing so, the level of water rose up.

Now the father crow was able to drink water from the pitcher and quenched its thirst. At last he brought its children to drink the water. After the children drinks water they became happy and thanks to their father.

Moral: Think and work hard, you may find solution to any problem.

He used to live in a banyan tree near the river. All the animals and birds also used to drank water from that river. One day a tiny ant came to the bank of that river to drink water. The river current seemed to be high that morning and ant suddenly slipped and fell into the water. The ant was being swept away by the stream. The ant tried its best to swim but in the force of water it was not able to swim.

The dove saw from the branch of that banyan tree that ant is struggling. The dove dropped a dry leaf into the water, so that the ant could climb into it. The ant climbed onto the leaf. The dove then carefully pulled the leaf out of the stream to the shore. The ant’s life was saved by the kind dove.

After a few days, a fierce hunter came to the forest. The hunter saw the beautiful dove on the tree and aimed to shoot his arrow at it. The ant, which was saved by the kindness of the dove, saw the hunter aiming at his savior. Before the hunter could release his arrow, the ant bit the hunter on the foot. The hunter shouted due to the pain from the ant’s bite. The dove was alarmed by the noise created by the hunter and flew to a safer place.

Moral: Every good deed we do for others will come back to us.

Out of breath, the fast one learned that sometimes taking it slow and steady is the best way. From that day on, it took the time to appreciate the journey and not just the destination.

Can you guess the story. It was about a horse and a snail.

Moral of the Story : Sometimes, slow and steady wins the race. It's not always about being the fastest, but about being patient, enjoying the journey, and staying steady in your efforts.

The Monkey and The Tortoise : Friendship Story

Once upon a time, a monkey and a tortoise were friends. river. The monkey was alone - he had no friends, no family, but he was happy
and content. The jamun tree gave him plenty of sweet fruit to eat, and shade
from the sun and shelter from the rain.

and climbed on to the bank to rest under the monkey's tree. 'Hello', called the
monkey, who was a friendly animal. 'Hello', replied the crocodile, surprised.
'Do you know where I can get some food?' he asked. 'I haven't had anything to
eat all day - there just don't seem to be any fish left in the river.'

'Well,' said the monkey, 'I don't eat fish so I
wouldn't know - but I do have plenty of ripe purple jamuns in my tree. Would
you like to try some?' He threw some down to the crocodile. The crocodile was
so hungry that he ate up all the jamuns even though crocodiles don't eat fruit.
He loved the sweet tangy fruit and shyly asked whether he could have some more.
'Of course', replied the monkey generously, throwing down more fruit. 'Come
back whenever you feel like more fruit', he added when the crocodile had eaten
his fill.

After that the crocodile would visit the monkey
every day. The two animals soon became friends - they would talk and tell each
other stories, and eat as much of the sweet jamuns as they wanted. The monkey
would throw down all the fruit the crocodile wanted from his tree.

wife and family. 'Why didn't you tell me earlier that you had a wife?' asked
the monkey. 'Please take some of the jamuns for her as well when you go back
today.' The crocodile thanked him and took some of the fruit for his wife.

never eaten anything so sweet before. 'Imagine', she said, 'how sweet would be
the creature who eats these jamuns every day. The monkey has eaten these every
day of his life - his flesh would be even sweeter than the fruit.' She asked
her husband to invite the monkey for a meal - 'and then we can eat him up' she
said happily.

friend? He tried to explain to his wife that he could not possibly eat the
monkey. 'He is my only true friend', he said. But she would not listen - she
must eat the monkey. 'Since when do crocodiles eat fruit and spare animals?'
she asked. When the crocodile would not agree to eat the monkey, she pretended
to fall very sick. 'Only a monkey's heart can cure me', she wailed to her
husband. 'If you love me you will get your friend the monkey and let me eat his
heart.'

The poor crocodile did not know what to do - he
did not want to eat his friend, but he could not let his wife die. At last he
decided to bring the monkey to his wife.

'O dear friend', he called as soon as reached the
jamun tree. ' My wife insists that you come to us for a meal. She is grateful
for all the fruit that you have sent her, and asks that I bring you home with
me.' The monkey was flattered, but said he could not possibly go because he did
not know how to swim. 'Don't worry about that', said the crocodile. 'I'll carry
you on my back.' The monkey agreed and jumped onto the crocodile's back.

The crocodile swam with him out into the deep
wide river. When they were far away from the bank and the jamun tree, he said,
'My wife is very ill. The only thing that will cure her is a monkey's heart.
So, dear friend, this will be the end of you and of our friendship.' The monkey
was horrified. What could he do to save himself? He thought quickly and said
'Dear friend, I am very sorry to hear of your wife's illness and I am glad that
I will be able to help her. But I have left my heart behind on the jamun tree.
Do you think we could go back so that I can fetch it for your wife?'

The crocodile believed the monkey. He turned and
swam quickly to the jamun tree. The monkey leaped off his back and into the
safety of his tree. 'False and foolish friend,' he called. 'Don't you know that
we carry our hearts within us? I will never trust you again or ever give you
fruit from my tree. Go away and don't come back again.'

The crocodile felt really foolish - he had lost a
friend and a supply of good sweet fruit. The monkey had saved himself because
he had thought quickly. He realised that a monkey and a crocodile could never
be true friends - crocodiles preferred to eat monkeys rather than be friends
with them.

Once upon a time there lived a lion in the forest. He had a jackal as his minister. They both always went together for hunting. The lion used to kill the animals and the jackal got his share for helping the lion then and there.

One day, the lion fell-sick. He could not go out. But he was very hungry. He called the jackal and said, "Dear friend, I am hungry. But, I am too sick to hunt. You have to help me get some food".

The jackal went off in search of prey. He found a donkey at last. He said to the donkey, "Hello, Donkey Sir! The king of the forest wants to make you his minister". The foolish donkey was too happy to think of the plot. He followed the jackal. The lion killed the donkey. But, before eating, he felt so thirsty. He said to the jackal, “Take care of the donkey. I will return in no time".

As soon as the lion left, the jackal started eating the brain of the donkey. When the lion returned he found the donkey's brain missing.

He asked the jackal. "Where is the donkey's brain?" The jackal answered timidly, "If he had a brain would he have come here?"

Once upon a time there lived many pigeons of different colors in a farm. But out of them grey headed pigeons were many in number. The owner of the farm fed them regularly with grains. This was noticed by a jackdaw who lived near the farm. The jackdaw looked at the pigeons which were well fed and leading a happy life in the farm house. The Jackdaw envied at the pigeons every day.

It painted his body like that of a pigeon. Then he joined the pigeons as one of them. Thus he was able to enjoy the grains daily. This continued for several days. But the pigeons never suspected him..

But one day after a heavy feed, the jackdaw could not control himself. Out of anger all the pigeons pecked at the jackdaw so mercilessly that he began to bleed severely.

The jackdaw flew away to save his life and went straight to his own group of birds, the jackdaws. But because of his painted body, they refused to accept him. So he was forced to flee away from that place in order to save his life. Thus he became a homeless wanderer throughout his life.

Once upon a time there lived a crow on a banyan tree. Everyday he used to watch with utter wonder the acts of an eagle. The eagle was used to stay a big tree that grows top of the mountain. A wicked fox passed that way. The fox looked up and saw the handsome cock perched on the tree. The fox decided to eat the cock. So, he said in as sweet a voice as possible.

“Hello, dear cock! I bring you news from Heaven. There is a new order laid for us. From now on, all birds and animals shall become friends and live together in peace”.

The cock was astonished. If you would like to test it, why not come down?”. Now, the cock began to think wise. He said, “Won’t you wait a minute. A few of our friends are coming along”.

It was the fox’s turn to be surprised, “Friends! Who are coming? What do you mean?. The cock answered “I can see some Hounds coming. Let us wait for them”.

On hearing the words ‘Hounds’ the fox got annoyed. He started to run away. The cock asked “Why are you running? What happened to our friendship?”. The only reply was “Forget it”.

It was a hot summer day. A fox was feeling very hungry. He came from the jungle towards the seashore and searched food here and there. He could find anything. He just saw a small crab. He caught the crab with some hesitation. This is a small crab it can't feel my stomach. But I am hungry I should kill it and eat.

Then the fox was about to kill the crab a hare ran that way from the near by bush. The fox became greedy. He thought, instead of eating this small crab let me eat the big hare. He let the crab go and went behind the hare. But, the hare had vanished into the bushes. The fox now felt sorry for letting the crab off.

One day the Brahmin was gifted a goat by his followers. As he started on his journey to home, three con men hatched a plan to take away the goat from him.

One of the conman approached him and said, “Sir, why are you carrying a dog over your shoulder?” The Brahmin became angry and said “Are you blind? This is a goat, not a dog”. Saying this, he continued his journey.

The second conman now asked the Brahmin, “You seem to be a wise person. Why are you carrying a dead calf?” The Brahmin was furious and yelled at him, “How stupid can you be to think of a goat as a dead calf!” He was a bit confused but started walking further.

The third cheat walked towards the Brahmin and said, “Sir, why do you carry a donkey on your shoulder?” The Brahmin was completely confused. He thought that the goat was some kind of ghost who changed forms.

He got scared to such an extent that he left the goat and ran away. The three con men laughed at the gullible Brahmin and feasted on the goat. Their plan had worked!

The mother told him that she kept some groundnuts in the pitcher for him. The boy put his hand into that pitcher to get some nuts. But he took such big amount of nuts with his hand. So that he could not draw his hand out again. There he stood, unwilling to leave a single groundnuts and yet unable to get them all out at once. He felt angry and disappointed because he was unable to get his hand out. He began to cry.

His mother watching him from a distance. She told to her son, “My dear son be satisfied with half the nuts you have taken and you will easily get your hand out. Then perhaps you may have some more nuts other time.” He did it as said by his mother and happily get his hand out with some nuts.

It was a very hot day and the donkey started to get extremely tired. He asked the horse to share some of the load but the horse refused to say that it was not his duty to carry the load.

Soon, the exhausted donkey could walk no further and collapse in the middle of the road. The washer man was determined to complete his journey. So, he put all the donkey’s baskets onto the horse and continued on his way.

The horse thought to himself, ”I wish I had helped the donkey before!”

One day the woodcutter came there. He looked around and said, I will cut all trees here except that crooked tree. That is of no use to me. He cut all other trees excepted crooked tree.

Once there was a flood in Indonesia. There was flood everywhere.

The copper pot called the earthen pot and said, “My friend, you are made of mud. You are so weak. Please, come near me. I will save you”.

The earthen pot replied, Thank you for your kindness, my friend. But let me swim to the bank by myself. The earthen pot began to swim towards the bank of the river.

As the copper pot tried to swim, water got filled into the pot and the copper pot drowned. But earthen pot reached the bank.

Long long time there was a fighting between the birds and animals. All birds fought with their might against the animals and the animals gave fierce battle. The bats were indecisive. They thought “We can join with the birds because we can fly. We can also join with the animals because we don’t lay eggs. Anyway, we will wait and join with the winners”.

At one stage the birds were having a winning hand. The bats thought, “This is the time, we’ll join with the birds”. But lo! The times changed. The hands o hands of the animals began to be more powerful. The bats shifted support to animals.

After a long time the battle ended and the birds and animals came to compromise. But both now neglected the bats. That is the reason bats began to live in holes.
