Do it yourself| I own several build your palette from @urbandecaycosmetics I think they are practical and you have freedom to put any colors you want.

A cool way to identify your build palettes is by removing the color label on the box your shadow comes in and placing them on the back of your pans. You can identify the palette by shade this way as well. This also good because it's not permanent when you are done you can remove the label.

Natural Scrubs for Dry Skin

So, it's after winter your skin may have gotten dry during the winter season.

Here are 3 fun DIY natural scrubs for dry skin:

Natural sugar scrub:

      * 1/2 cup of coconut oil
      * 1/2 cup of brown sugar
      * 1/2 cup of vanilla extract
Use a spoon and mix all of the ingredients. Dampen skin with warm water, rub the scrub in circular motions.

Lastly rinse clean.
Fun fact: This scrub is perfect for dry skin, the coconut oil is naturally high moisturizer and conditioner.

Natural avocado nut scrub:
    * 1 large avocado, peeled and mashed
    * 1/3 cup ground hazelnuts
    * 1 cup of ground oatmeal
Mix the mashed avocado in with the Hazelnut's and oatmeal in a bowl. Then begin to apply the scrub evenly on body. Finally rinse skin off.
  Fun fact: The avocado has fatty acids which are moisturizing to the skin. The hazelnuts will help scrub away your dead skin cells.

Natural Oatmeal olive oil scrub:
* 1 tsp honey
* 1 tsp olive oil
* 1/3 plain oatmeal
Prepare the oatmeal using water,once finished add honey and the olive oil. Apply the scrub firmly into the skin, scrub in circular motions. Lastly rinse completely.
Fun fact: The oatmeal leaves a thin protective film on the skin which helps to lock in the moisture.

Tips:

Avoid eye area when using these scrubs. May irritate the eyes.

Rinse tub thoroughly after using any natural scrub.

Okay let's just put it this way I'm super obsessed with coconut oil. I use it for cooking. I also use it for a body moisturizer as well as a hair treatment. It's like CRACK literally. I thought I'd share some cool ways you can use it in your everyday life.

Makeup Remover - Healthier, stronger and longer eye lashes are just a bonus

Homemade Deodorant - You only need a few ingredients in addition to coconut oil to make this simple deodorant recipe.

Homemade Lip Balm or Lip Gloss - Apply directly or create a flavored version with this simple lip balm recipe.

Diaper Rash Cream - Apply regularly to the baby's bottom to improve skin health.

Sexual lubricant- I won't elaborate on this but some people swear by it.

Stretch Mark prevention. - This safe, healthy oil can be applied multiple times each day to help moisturize your stretching skin.

Nipple Cream During Breastfeeding - Coconut oil is a popular choice for nursing mothers because it is a natural safe product.

Massage Oil - Coconut oil is the perfect choice for a massage oil. Not too greasy and with a relaxing scent.

Body Moisturizer - Apply directly after showering.

Fade Age Spots - Rub on hands or other areas daily.

Sunburn Care - A great moisturizer to use after you've gotten a bit too much sun.

Facial Moisturizer - After you wash your face, massage a light layer on your skin.

Mix in Bath Water - Melt about 1/4 cup in the microwave and add it to your bath water and soak.

Tanning Oil - Put in a spray bottle and bring to beach. Spray on to keep skin moisturized.

Dry Feet Treatment - Mix with salt to form a foot scrub.

I was in need of a good shampoo and conditioner and I was on a budget. So I ran in CVS looking for Shea Moisture. I know the products are a great price point and I can get exactly what I need. So I stumbled across this shampoo and conditioner. What I like about it is that my scalp feels clean but my hair doesn't feel dry. The Apple cider vinegar is great for if you have oily scalp. The castor oil promotes hair growth. The smell isn't harsh. I must add the bottle is huge. Great buy for under 20 bucks.

Ive been plotting on a new contour palette. I love the Anastasia contour palette but unfortunetly it breaks me out. Not just your normal breakout either. Girl! No, Needless to say I've been in search for a good contour palette. I have the BH Cosmetics Countor Palette and I love that but its a little not practical to carry around on a day to day basis. I have a round/heartshaped face so I emphasis a little more on my jawline and towards my side burners to frame my face. I stumbled across the #instamarc while make-up shopping. I use a few Marc jacob products currently. I love this product this the deepest amongst the 3 colors. I'm impressed with the mirror size so perfect for on the go travel. Perfect if your looking for a basic matte counter kit. Side note: I use the lighter portion to highlight underneath my eyes.

My latest haul

I picked up a new leave in conditioner from Carol's Daughter I don't have thin or dry hair but I think it would be helpful for any hair to use a biotin conditioner for strengthening purposes. I also picked up the black vanilla edge control. I've used the black vanilla line so I figured why not try something new to replace the macadamia control which was a bit more pricy and did a little flaking. I'm using this with my Shea moisture shampoo and conditioner. I am super excited to the decrease in prices they are way more feasible and would encourage consumers to use it for daily use. You know there's that one good shampoo & conditioner that you alternate to reserve for important outings. Well that was me with my carols daughter shampoo and conditioner. A girl shouldn't have to reserve the good shampoo and conditioner for those days so this is super exciting.

I have dry skin including dry scalp especially during the colder seasons. I spray this bottle on my scalp prior to a deep condition or hot oil treatment and it works wonders. I picked this up at whole foods for just 6 bucks and I use this during every wash and condition.

Happy New Years ALL!

This blog has been my platform to express serval ideas in the past it is my baby! I have been blogging here since I was 20 years old. I am now 27 years. I have grown and developed so much. I spend majority of my time now working as executive for Urban Decay Cosmetics, Funny huh? I remember blogging about that being my dream when I first started here. I do a lot of travel and working on the business aspect of cosmetics as well as sales. One thing that kept my blog booming over the years was my consistency and I want to continue to bring you guys quality post as well new authors to read about. I will share my post and love for beauty and travel. One new venture that I have been putting my whole heart into is my beauty magazine which is currently on Version 2 with the likes of serval female shakers and bakers here in NYC!
