The Kamikaze Queens are Berlin Punk Cabaret! Inspired by the mayhem of 1920's Berlin and the city's infamous hedonism that lives on today, they've created a sexy, theatrical live performance that's uniquely their own.

Musically their style ranges from early punk rock and soulful garage to dirty jazz and punkabilly, smothered in reverb, topped off with Spooky Waltzes, and served up with burlesque and cabaret.

Fronted by two dazzling American female singers, Trinity Sarratt and Mad Kate take turns at being sweet & sour, dancing, kicking, and playing percussion, together with one of Germany's hottest Guitar Players, Tex Morton, Acrobatic Upright Bass Player "Luscious Lloyd" Clark from Upstate New York, and Nico "Lipps" Lippolis from Bella Italia on Drums, the Kamikaze Queens live experience is "like a suicide pilot dive- bombing your Rock'n'Roll senses" ... and pushing up daisies.

Since 2006,they have toured all over Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Sweden, and the USA at SXSW 2009. Midilove is a composer & producer from San Francisco. Beginning in 1998 with a Roland 808 sampler, he began his experimentation in recording and production, which has produced various projects and collaborations of different styles and emphasis over the past decade. Much of that focus was concentrated on the fusing of “electronic” & “synthetically” generated sounds and instruments with live instrumentation. After spending the last five years in bands, it was time for a solo project. The debut of the full length “Deus Ex Machina” and Midilove is the result after eight months of studio work.

The concept of Midilove started with an infatuation with the technology of MIDI and the possibilities it generates. A “Deus Ex Machina” (Latin: “god out of the machine”) is a plot device whereby a seemingly inextricable problem is suddenly and abruptly solved with the contrived and unexpected intervention of some new event, character, ability, or object. With the exceptions of a very few guitar, woodwind, drum, and vocal tracks, “Deus Ex Machina” is exclusively MIDI instrumentation.

A typical criticism of “electronic” music in the music world today is its’ presupposed lack of “soul” or emotive feeling that is arguably more present and evident in “live” music. An essential component in the concept of Midilove is the desire and intention to bring that emotive presence into the digital spectrum.

Currently, with the release of “Deus Ex Machina”, Midilove is looking to begin performing the material accompanied by a live drummer in addition to some live instrumentation. The songs “Falling Up” & “Dirty Halo” on “Deus Ex Machina” are a collaborative effort between Midilove & Shox, a talented vocalist/musician out of Brooklyn. They are currently working on an electro-pop, dance EP that they expect to release early in the fall 2011 under the name MidiloveShox. Midilove is also working on another instrumental EP for the IDM, breaks & dub-step crowd to be released around the same time. Stay tuned…

In the 1880’s a railroad was completed that traversed the Santa Cruz Mountains. This was accomplished with the construction of a small number of tunnels that connected the small towns and communities that dotted the countryside between the Santa Clara Valley and Santa Cruz. One of these communities was the train depot of Wrights Station.

The railroad was shut down in the 1940’s with the entrances to the tunnels blown up. As a result these small communities dwindled and disappeared becoming ghost towns. Although little remains today but crumbling stone and overgrown foundations, the souls of these towns and tunnels linger on to this day… We are The Ghost of Wrights.

After his involvement with several other bands of varying genres, in early 2010, Wolf Neve felt that it was time to begin his own project; he wanted to create something that felt right, something with a purpose, an outlet in which his soul could truly speak. After hours upon hours of heartfelt experimentation, the Citizen 16 (C16) project was finally born. Today, Citizen 16 is made up of three key members; Wolf Neve, Kitty Nyu, and Misty Rose. While Wolf Neve is the definite brains behind everything that is C16, both Kitty Nyu and Misty Rose also play their parts to keep the band going strong. Together, they hope and strive for the betterment of society as a whole- be it flesh or machine, through song, and through action. Our Mission: Believing that society’s evolution has fallen into a downward spiral, both intellectually and fundamentally, Citizen 16 rises from the ashes of social dissension to unite the lowest of the oppressed. Faced with an epidemic of apathy, complacency and tyrannical corruption above, a hero must rise to confront those who would stave off those who would exploit the decaying reliance of a failed society. Not just one hero must emerge, but several. Citizens of an oppressed society must ascend past the bonds of the human condition that hold them back and embrace the only hope for the lowest class; the future of the sufferer relies on the willingness to discard the “natural” for the “supernatural” – to recognize that left to its own devices, society will continue not in evolution, but devolution into a state of perpetual poverty. The only hope for mankind to overcome the stigma of the social exile within society derives from the willingness of the masses to fight, not for what little they have, but to prove that they are not defined by what they do not. In its current course, the world is left not to God, but to those who would steer the course of evolution to their own interests. The evil of the world lies not with those who would enhance themselves, but with those who would amputate the only hope a suffering people have to survive. Now is the time to rise above those who would control you through the cross and words, money and bureaucracy. Now is the time to take arms, take aim and take heart. Now is the time to embrace these weapons that remain the only hope for those who are manipulated by the status quo, for without it, mankind stands to destroy itself. Afekt is an Industrial Synth Rock band from California. The initial project was created by Syn in the early-mid 2000s intent on fusing together the hypnotic euphoria of trance with the harsh sound and existential disgust of industrial. The music has a hybrid sound of Industrial and various electronic and rock influences. There are aspects of electronic-dance, metal, synthpop, electro, trance, punk, pop, noise and many more clashing sounds.

The story of Sara Radle’s music career is one that began in San Antonio, Texas in the late 90’s but she is probably most known for being the reason The Rentals reunited in 2005.

In 1996, at the age of seventeen, she began carving out a name for herself in the Texas music scene with punk-pop trio Lucy Loves Schroeder and her own solo project. Eight years later, ex-Weezer bassist Matt Sharp played a show with her in Dallas, and very soon after, he asked her to relocate to Los Angeles, CA in 2005 to re-form The Rentals. Radle and Sharp re-built the band from the ground up, wrote some songs together, recorded the group’s Last Little Life EP, and toured the world. Fans were sad to see Radle leave The Rentals in 2008, when she soon after joined Los Angeles-based indie-rock band Walking Sleep. With her September 2010 fourth solo album release, Four, it was time she returned to her true passion – writing and recording her own music.

With her upcoming fifth solo record, Same Sun Shines, Radle displays her full versatility as a musician by playing every instrument on the record, including guitars, drums, piano, and violin. She also entered new territory by engineering and mixing the record’s collection of ten infectious pop songs herself. “I’ve never officially released something I’ve recorded myself, so I was a bit nervous going into it,” says Radle. “But after fumbling around a bit, I found my way and I’m so happy with how it turned out. It was fun to figure out how to capture the songs the way they sounded in my head.” She jokes, “I guess I really created my ultimate control-freak fantasy with the way I made this record.”

Same Sun Shines continues Radle’s diary-entry lyrical style, using a mix of honesty, heart, humor, and bite to tell stories of love, loss, relationships, and even death. From intimate moments with scaled down instrumentation, to fully orchestrated arrangements that have you questioning how one person was able to make a recording that sounds as full as a room of musicians playing together, every song on Same Sun Shines reflects Radle’s unique signature style that mixes rock, 50’s and 60’s pop, Americana, punk, and classic country. The latter is apparent on her cover of Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys, a song made famous by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. The Same Sun Shines version features big guitars and driving drums, and Radle in a duet with legendary indie singer/songwriter Mary Lou Lord. “I’ve been a fan of hers for years,” says Radle. “I wanted to sing this song as a duet with another woman, because I think it takes on such a great, bitter tone from a female perspective. I asked Mary Lou if she would sing on it, and I was delightfully surprised she agreed. Words cannot express how happy and proud I am to have her on my record.”

With the promising result that has become Same Sun Shines, Radle has a lot to be proud of these days. She is excited to take her new songs on the road and play some U.S. tour dates starting in February 2012. Please stay tuned for current dates.

Isadora's Scarf is a Santa Cruz based alternative punk band. The band plays a mix of alt-rock covers and punk-influenced originals, in the prolapsed vein of Radiohead, X, Iggy Pop, Concrete Blonde and PJ Harvey. The sound is fierce, driving and distinctive, an itch which gets scratched in your brain that goes from soothing to blistering, and then just sort of a pleasant throbbing.

With their flair for histrionics and prize giveaways, the band promotes creative interaction with the audience and spastic abandon. The vocals are edgy, and the music entices even the lead-footed to get up and dance.

Melted Horses is a late 60's, early 70's revivalist band which seeks to write and perform music that existed at the pinnacle of guitar driven rock&roll. A style of music that peaked in the mid 1970's just before the music industry collapsed under it's own gluttonous, decadent weight and descended into a sea of synthesizers, electronic drum beats, and choreographed stage antics.The Horses' sound walks a fine line between the Woodstock era looseness represented by such musicians as Leslie West and a type of music that represents a nearly obsessive search for guitar tonalities as seen in the styles of Dicky Betts, Joe Walsh, and Don Felder. The band consists of four members: a lead guitarist, vocal/2nd guitarist, bassist and a drummer. "The Horses will change you're life..."

Ghoul is a thrash metal band from Oakland, California. Though the members' actual identities are meant to be concealed, it is known that some members of Ghoul also play or have played in other bands such as Impaled, Dystopia, Wolves in the Throne Room, Exhumed, Phobia, Asunder and Morbosidad. They released their debut album in 2002 and so far have made four full albums.

Not much is known about Ghoul as they are always seen wearing masks. The members go by the stage names Cremator, Fermentor, Digestor, and Dissector. The band has a large line-up of characters in their lyrics, including the four of themselves. Most of the information about them comes from the "Curio Shop Owner" one of the many characters mentioned in their songs. They claim to be mutants that came from Creepsylvania. Ghoul was signed after self-releasing a demo. Their musical style is best described as a blend of thrash and grindcore with death metal vocals and lyrics. In 2008, Ghoul released a split 7" with Brody's Militia. In 2011, the band released their fourth record and embarked on an American tour opening for shock rockers Gwar.

Emerging as a duo in the Summer of 2010 with the musical engineering prowess of Kevin Loftus and the guitar styling's of Dhruva Noel, A Thousand Shall Fall was a metal-based recording group with hopes of gaining a few more members and turning it into the real thing. In late August the duo became a formidable trio with the addition of Daniel Johnston, a highly skilled guitarist previously part of various local bands such as Descending Forth and others. With the addition of Dan A.T.S.F. found a direction for their music and added an important piece to their onslaught. In late 2010 Jesse Williams joined on vocals, and in early 2011 Gena Krupa joined the band to finalize the A.T.S.F. lineup. Currently in the process of composing, booking, and recording the band's sound is strongly melodic while simultaneously staying true to the heavy hitting rhythms they've all grown fond of. Keep your eyes and ears open for some upcoming tracks on Myspace other sites and look out for A Thousand Shall Fall coming to a city near you in 2012.

We are Darkest Shade Of Red! A five piece hardcore/metalcore band from Salinas,CA. We look to play with a solid high energy and still mix in varieties of heavy sounds from 2steppy parts to catchy-chaotic breakdowns to grunge low crushing ends. We've now been a band for just over two years. In this time, we have played some pretty fun shows with some really cool people in amazing bands from in & out of our California hometown. Over the 2011 summer, we recorded "The Darkest Shade Of Red" EP demo. Over this time and many shows later, we are still working hard to write new material for upcoming recordings/shows. As we keep supporting other bands like ourselves, we hope we make our mark in the music scene and keep growing to much more! -DSOR-
