Wow, look at what we have here, Firefox, not Fennec running on the Android OS. Okay, more like 'on the Android OS.' Mastermind behind this lovely vision, Vladimir Vukićević, is working to bring the full Firefox browsing experience to Android, and believes that it is entirely possible.

You'll note that this is the full Firefox interface, and not the Fennec/Firefox Mobile UI; we're testing with the full interface because it's significantly more complex than the mobile UI and stresses Gecko much more. So, if the full UI works, then Fennec should work fine as well.
This may very well end up in the hands of users sometime this year, then again, maybe not. All eyes will be on this developing piece of browsing intrigue throughout the year.

The earth has moved and has created another 'Brokeback Mountain,' this time in India. Homosexually is a taboo in India, and before "Dunno Y ... Na Jaane Kyun" (I Don't Know) the mere though of two men kissing in a Bollywood film would never cross anyones mind. Films coming out of Bollywood don't even broach the subject of a man and woman kissing, so when director, Anil Sharma, presented his film depicting a male model doing what he must to further his career, Sharma knew controversy was to follow.
Of course that's not a bad thing. Brokeback Mountain put butts in seats due to all the talk and hand ringing before it's release. But this is India, a land where the Delhi High Court just recently overturned a law banning homosexuality. However, it's a little like when the Catholic Church freaks out over a film. Everyone sees it, more than would have otherwise, then those moviegoers wonders why it was such a big deal in the first place. "Dunno Y ... Na Jaane Kyun" could very well have the same effect in India and over Bollywood, striking down another useless taboo, allowing for more diverse story telling. And doesn't that benefit everyone?

Camera's caught what NASA says is the result of two Asteroids colliding at speeds of 11,000 miles per hour. The event happened among the stars about 90 million miles away from the camera that spotted it streaking through space.
This is quite different from the smooth dust envelopes of normal comets. [...] The filaments are made of dust and gravel, presumably recently thrown out of the nucleus. Some are swept back by radiation pressure from sunlight to create straight dust streaks. Embedded in the filaments are co-moving blobs of dust that likely originated from tiny unseen parent bodies.
Personally, I think it's alien life form and our cameras caught it in space instead of here on earth.

The Who Dat nation has scored! The NFL got greedy and decided they weren't making enough billions a year by going after New Orleans Saints fans who were making T-Shirts. The NFL sent a cease and decease letter to vendors making shirts with the popular "Who Dat" phrase on them. But since the T-Shirts do not say "New Orleans Saints" or "NFL" the NFL has no right to stop venders from sellers wares with the phrase.

Whoa! A nice litle bit of information here. Sure it has always seemed feasible that the Nexus One would end up on AT&T or even Sprint at some point, but the when or just how long it would take has always been the question. That question hasn't been answered, but it looks as though the wait may not be as long as anticipated. Google released the Nexus One as an Unlocked phone, giving anyone with $529 to blow the opportunity to have one, if you are on the T-Mobile network, which doesn't mean anyone. But thanks to a recent FCC filing showing WCDMA Bands I, II and V, it looks as though the Nexus One will be coming to AT&T very soon.

Gizmodo got it from a guy who got it from another guy who heard word that the Zune Phone is indeed a Phone and will make it's debut at the MWC in Barcelona this year. Whew! Now that CES is over, and the Apple hysteria is on it's way to dying down, it's time to give Microsoft their due. How do we do that? By talking up a rumored phone that integrates the Zune with a phone. Sure, Steve Ballmer said that MS wasn't getting in the phone hardware business and we know that 'Zune Phone' is an integrated OS, but the handset speculation won't go away.
The latest tells us the the Zune Phone will use Nvidia Tegra and have a HDMI out with a 480 x 272 screen to show off Windows Mobile 7. The Source is said to be trusted so it's up to you to 'want to believe' or not.

WTF!!?? Rip Torn, star of Men In Black and countless other films, has been arrested for breaking into a bank with a loaded gun. Authorities say the 78-year old broke into the Litchfield Bancorp Bank while intoxicated. Authorities found the actor outside the Connecticut Bank. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Sad to see him go this way. Rip Torn is one of my favorite actors, I loved him in the Larry Sanders show where he played a drunk but extremely competent Late Night Television show. Actually, if one takes a look at his film, he's an alcoholic in almost everyone on of them. Hollywood enabling?

Serena Williams has done it again. The match between Williams and Justin Henin was a hard fought one, but one that ended with Serena holding the cup high above her head. 6/3 - 3/6 - 6/2 was the final score, giving Williams her 5th Australian Open title and a tie with Billie Jean King's 12 Grand Slam singles championships.
Justine Henin came out of retirement to beat top ranked opponents on her way to a Grand Slam Championship, her first in 20-months. Henin and her fans see her run as a remarkable one after so much time off, and they are right. But in this game, Serena proved to be much too much to handle in the 3rd set, elevating her game play to take a 6-2 match victory, landing her on her back in elation.
Billie Jean King was on hand to congratulate Williams on tying her record, saying “I still think that when she plays her best, she’s the best ever.”

It seems that when pulling swapping SIM from Nexus One to another device all is well. This has users, T-Mobile and HTC scratching their heads, no one knows what's going on here. The HTC HD2 is all the rage in the world of Windows Mobile, mainly because of its beautiful UI and beautiful large screen. But as a owner of a Blackberry Storm, you already have a large beautiful screen. But what if you've found yourself intrigued by the HTC offering? There's no way you'll give up on the speed, ease of use and stability of the Blackberry OS for a Windows Mobile device right, well, with the HTC HD2_BerryWeather theme, you won't have to.
If you like the look of the HTC HD2 and you like the big clocks but on the Storm look no further. This theme is the closest you'll get to the HTC HD2 without having to buy the phone, big clock and all.
This is the next installment of my HTC series, which include the HTC Hero and the HTC Pure. This one is the HD2.
Tried to stick as close as possible to the original but with a few teaks of my own so the theme could be optimized for the storm.
This version of the theme is the BerryWeather version(app sold seperately). With this version you have the ability to activate your home screen wallpaper option of BerryWeather. There is also a hot spot to BerryWeather under clock(click BerryWeather icon).
*NOTE: I will include in a desktop installation a zip file with the png of the clock pad and few pre made wallpapers so you will be able to make your own BerryWeather wallpaper for use with the theme. This is the only way that the BerryWeather icon will be visible on top of the clock pad as seen in the screen shots.
There are 6 home screens(tap blackberry logo). Each screen has a number of icons within reach with crisp clean animations on each screen. With HD2 your user defined icons with be placed on the main home screen with 3 being visible(icon slot 7-9) and the other 6(icon slots 1-6) you'll be able to pull up by taping the arrow beneath. You will also be able to hide the 3 visible icons by taping to the right of them, tap the same spot and they reappear. One of the handful of individuals that can be accurately described as a "Game Changer" J.D. Salinger, the author of one of the most read and Controversial novels ever, has died. "Catcher In The Rye" woke a sleeping generation and gave them insomnia. Holden Caulfield became a household name, and most parents didn't want him in their homes, but his presence was too powerful, to overwhelming, utterly timely and arguably, necessary.
Salinger went on to write other great stories, but none reached the proverbial DNA of society the way Catcher in the Rye did, and still does to this very day since its publishing in 1951.
The legendary author died of natural causes in his home, he was 91.

The HTC HD2 is all the rage in the world of Windows Mobile, mainly because of its beautiful UI and beautiful large screen. But as a owner of a Blackberry Storm, you already have a large beautiful screen. But what if you've found yourself intrigued by the HTC offering? There's no way you'll give up on the speed, ease of use and stability of the Blackberry OS for a Windows Mobile device right, well, with the HTC HD2_BerryWeather theme, you won't have to.
If you like the look of the HTC HD2 and you like the big clocks but on the Storm look no further. This theme is the closest you'll get to the HTC HD2 without having to buy the phone, big clock and all.
This is the next installment of my HTC series, which include the HTC Hero and the HTC Pure. This one is the HD2.
Tried to stick as close as possible to the original but with a few teaks of my own so the theme could be optimized for the storm.
This version of the theme is the BerryWeather version(app sold seperately). With this version you have the ability to activate your home screen wallpaper option of BerryWeather. There is also a hot spot to BerryWeather under clock(click BerryWeather icon).
*NOTE: I will include in a desktop installation a zip file with the png of the clock pad and few pre made wallpapers so you will be able to make your own BerryWeather wallpaper for use with the theme. This is the only way that the BerryWeather icon will be visible on top of the clock pad as seen in the screen shots.
There are 6 home screens(tap blackberry logo). Each screen has a number of icons within reach with crisp clean animations on each screen. With HD2 your user defined icons with be placed on the main home screen with 3 being visible(icon slot 7-9) and the other 6(icon slots 1-6) you'll be able to pull up by taping the arrow beneath. You will also be able to hide the 3 visible icons by taping to the right of them, tap the same spot and they reappear. The other user defined icon is on the media screen(recommended to use for media folder)(icon slot 10)
The theme will also incorporate a hidden today feature for calendar and messages(6 entries) and you'll be able to pull that up by taping the stacks button in the upper right corner. You can also hide the hidden today by taping the same spot.
HD2 will have the usual hotspots with hot spots to the app screen(menu button) and a hot spot for QuickLaunch(sold separately).

I'm completely tired of listening to partizan politics. 10 years of this childish bullcrap that gets louder and louder every month, while those doing the most of the yelling, go home to their big homes, nice cars and healthy bank accounts.
