Another year gone!

So, this year has been a huge year for us...although most may not know that. We have been doing a ton of private work for major developers and sadly we can't show those to you but we have had some very happy customers.

But! I have 3 major projects sitting right next to me here and they are just begging to be released! Soon we will let them loose and I promise this year will have more big projects to show you and we'll continue to push the envelope.

Finally, in response to the two page spread in the Holiday issue of Nintendo Power, we have had a large number of emails and if we haven't got to yours yet just give us some more time! We will get to everyone!

Here's to all of you! Have a happy and safe new years and in EARLY January you will see our epic follow up to the Metroid Wii! More Metal, More lights, More Samus!

Well, its finally here. Our new Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 is on eBay!

A picture is worth a thousand words so I will let them do most of the talking but we are extremely excited and we really hope you like what you see.

The entire mod is dedicated Hideo Kojima and we would like to thank him for graciously signing the side panel during his world tour.

A massive thanks also goes out to "that girl" in NYC of thatgirlssite.com for waiting hours in the 11 block line and pulling more than a few strings to make sure Kojima would sign the panel. Officially ONLY games were to be signed during his world tour stops and we are extremely lucky to have such a resourceful affiliate!

She's got an awesome website so please bookmark it and hit it up daily for that few minutes of fun we all need.

The awesome people at hyperkore.com brought our vision to life with there unique black laser etching that we commissioned for our side panel...if you have an idea they are very reasonable and will work hard to get you just what you want (trust me we made several changes last minute and they delivered ahead of time). You owe it to yourself to check them out!

I will be making updates here over the next few days but for now enjoy and thanks for all your support!

Hello all,

Its been a long road...they always are....

We've been working a ton of projects and many have been from some triple A devs, like Rockstar and THQ. These have been pushing things back for us but we are back and we have some big surprises finish up this October.

The first is our LONG awaited Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3

The ad is written, the pictures are taken and we are set to launch tomorrow night about 11pm est.

Hello everyone. In the last few weeks HUGE changes have been going on behind the scenes. First we are going legal! Morpheon Mods, LLC. is going to open in the coming weeks. We aim to be best modification firm in the industry. We seem to have found a home amongst you and we are excited to open up officially.

Next, we have had 5 mods go out as private commissions in the last month! Where are the pics you ask? Well some we are sworn to secrecy on but others we will showcase on a special post in the coming days. Beyond that we have 3 major mods coming this summer. All are in development and reflect a massive amount of effort from our team. We can't wait to roll them out.

Finally, our biggest announcement is our Metal Gear Soild 4 Playstation 3. It is almost complete BUT we have something EXTREMELY special for this mod.

Something never done or seen before on a PS3 or any console modification to the best of my knowledge.

I am working around the clock (8 hours of sleep since Monday) to get our new flagship ready. I am so excited to show you. Please check back often.

Zelda DS for sells for Child's Play AGAIN!

You might remember the Zelda DS we auctioned just about a year ago this month. Well the winning bidder donated it BACK to Child's Play for their annual dinner and charity auction. Amongst amazing other pieces of rare gamer swag and items signed by the gaming industry's elite sat our DS and while I can't disclose the dollar amount the bidding closed at everyone involved was VERY pleased ;)
We are extremely grateful and honored to be part of such a great cause! Thanks to everyone at Child's Play for their support. If you want to know more about them and the great work they do head over to www.childsplaycharity.com !

On a side note we are shipping a somewhat secret private commission this week. Check in with us around Friday or Saturday to see what we've been up to.

We're happy to announce our Mario Galaxy Wii sold for a record breaking price! This also means we will have record breaking donation to make to Child's Play Charity!!!!

I personally would like to thank all of you for your patience and support over the last few months. Mario was a huge undertaking and it took a lot longer than expected but apparently you guys thought it was all worth it!! THANK YOU!

So what's next? Well we are keeping it Mario and you will see our new Mario Kart themed Wii in the next few weeks! Its been in development for about two months and we MIGHT have it ready for launch...but no more broken promises - we've learned our lesson! It's done when it's done. :)

Beyond that we have a few private commissions we will be showcasing the coming weeks and as for the this summer....well just wait because your gonna wanna see what we've got coming

Keep it locked here and keep the emails coming! We appreciate them all and we try to get back to everyone! Always remember it's because of you we are successful and we never take that for granted!

Wow. What a long time coming. We hope its been worth the wait! Between our day jobs and finishing private commissions, significant others etc., finding the 100+ hours it took to finish Mario was a challenge. Life has requested my attention in other areas this week and I have been unable to properly get the Mario auction setup. As soon as it is possible for this to happen it will.

We apologize for long delays. We simply will not sacrifice quality in any area of what we do and let you guys down.

It is because of all of you and the websites that generously give attention to what we do that has brought us this far and accounts for all of our success.

It is our biggest effort ever expended on one mod. I am very excited to share it with you and we sincerely hope you enjoy what you see.

2008 - We're Open for Business!

Hello everyone!

Well 2007 has finally come to a close and 2008 is already in full swing. I can't believe Morpheon Mods is one year old! We enjoyed enormous success last year and its all due to you guys (and gals) enjoying the work, telling your friends, posting to websites, emailing etc. etc.! The only way we can think to truly thank the community is to simply keep trying to push the envelope with what we do and bring things to the table that just haven't been seen before.

That's exactly what we are going to do.

So, coming very soon, you will see our next mod that we have been working on for nearly five months. I really think its something special and we hope you will too.

The next bit of news is to officially announce that we are open for private commissions. Every element of this process is under your control - the design, the theme, the price and so on. We have received an overwhelming number of emails regarding this kind of thing so we feel great to be able to offer our services to community at large.

How does this process work? Simply shoot me an email at ramon@morpheonmods.com and every request will be reviewed and evaluated with the team the same day or the next. I will personally get back to you with our thoughts and details on how to proceed. That's it :). So if you have a vision of something crazy or simply know what you like but want us to take the wheel, we are ready to take it on and make it a reality!

As always we can't thank everyone enough for all the great things and opportunities we have been given over the last year. Its been an incredible ride and we can't wait to see what 2008 brings!

Kevin Smith...and thats all I have to say

Floored. Amazed. Excited. Speechless...err..Silent. Those are just a few of the feelings we had when we were commissioned to do custom "Clerks" themed Wii for Kevin Smith's Christmas Gift!! From what we understand Silent Bob is an avid gamer and this would be his first Wii - No pressure :).

The Wii was painted using flat gray scale colors to match the black and white clerks characters. The stand features the main characters each back-lit with two "stage lights" that beam up to highlight the custom 3D Clerks logo. The opposite side has a specially back-lit logo of his production company. Finally, the controllers were painstakingly hand painted letter by letter to feature his name one controller and his most famous alter ego on the second. As a most respectful nod to his writing, the font was meant to look like one an old typewriter might use.

All and all it was about 60 hours of very exciting work. It was a crazy experience to get the chance to create something for such and established and successful artist and one we will not soon forget. We're often humbled by some the opportunities we get around here but perhaps none so much as this one.

We were just informed that he and the family love it and that's a Christmas gift for us all on its own.

Modding like a Rockstar

It's been one crazy year for Morpheon Mods, but this has to be one of the biggest highlights for sure! I wanted to share with you a very special project we have been working on behind-the scenes for the great guys at Rockstar Games. Basically, they contacted us after seeing the our work online and wanted to know if we could collaborate on a Wii themed after the company itself. We've always been fans of the GTA series and one of my all time personal favorites is the noir series Max Payne so answer for us was an enthusiastic yet humble "hell yeah!"

The company just received it today and the early reports are they are really happy with it and we couldn't be more happy about that :).

The Wii itself features our new car like clear coating, a completely laser cut and hand polished Rockstar emblem, custom color matched paint, color matched controls and numerous LED mods that were, of course, calibrated to not be bright nor too dim ;).

It was an honor to have the opportunity to work with Rockstar and we hope it wont be the last. Enjoy the pictures!

First, let me apologize. Right after i made the HUGE NEWS coming post Google locked my blog by mistake and it took a while to get it unlocked. So without further ado...

While we have several projects started and in development we are pleased to announce the theme of our next big mod. In the past 24 hours in a dark bunker, in the woods, underground I was invited to sit down and play Super Mario Galaxy. Ok, ok fine, I was at Game Stop and they had it out to try – same difference. Let me say right now, it is simply the best of series - period. Short of selling your sister (although not ruled out), you must take whatever measures necessary to purchase this game.

Expect to get that same feeling you got when you played Super Mario 64 for the first time. It takes 3D to a whole new level. The execution is just superb. I am incredibly hard on games and I give you my word this game is every bit of the hype you've heard and a hell of a lot more. The story is sound and being in space does not feel like a gimmick what so ever.

But of course we knew were going to make a Mario Galaxy Wii since we started in January - it was just a matter of when. I personally have been designing it for over six months. In the same vein of the game we are simply looking to out do ourselves with the complexity and level of production quality with this new mod. Dramatic lighting, metalwork, sound effects, candy color change paint, car clear-coating, wii-mote mods, high-res graphic prints, acrylic work, sculpting, and more are all being utilized in order to push it WAY over the top but look pulled together, professional, and clean.

We are working day and night to get it done in time for the game launch but no promises…its done when it's done for the sake of us all.

We hope, like the game, it lives up to the hype.

What you see above is the beta version, but it occurred to us that perhaps some our talented fans might have some better ideas. After all these shirts are for you and we want to make sure we get it right.

So heres our first official contest!!!
