Serving as the primary staff person for managing the top-level web pages for the University and for working with other Web offices within the University; &lt;br /&gt;
Acting as project manager, supervising project teams of writers, designers and programmers; &lt;br /&gt;
Coordinating maintenance and updating of top levels of University Web pages; &lt;br /&gt;
Maintaining editorial and design guidelines, ensuring compliance with standards of visual identity, design integrity, accuracy, navigational ease and consistency to aid departments in creating their own Web sites; &lt;br /&gt;
Coordinating with University Relations staff, student workers and others to provide content for top levels of Web pages; &lt;br /&gt;
Overseeing the answering directing of all e-mail received from the public via the University&amp;#8217;s top-level Web pages; &lt;br /&gt;
Working with suppliers, vendors and outside services for web-related activities; &lt;br /&gt;
Performing related duties as required or assigned. &lt;br /&gt;

Job Description: 

Hotwire.com is looking for a full-time lead interaction designer for Hotwire?s User Experience team. The UX team at Hotwire creates user experience solutions for Hotwire.com (our flagship), Travel-ticker.com, CarRentals.com as well as numerous extranets, deals management tools and customer care admin sites. 

The User Experience team resides within Hotwire?s Product team. As a result, you will have early influence into project and will work collaboratively with product managers and customer care to develop experiences that meet business objectives and the needs of the consumer. 

The right candidate should be able to develop big ideas, and execute flawlessly against them in a highly collaborative environment. Additionally, we are looking for someone to design interfaces that are engaging, follow usability best practices and reinforce Hotwire?s visual brand. 

Core Responsibilities: 

? Understand and advocate for the needs of online travel customers, particularly
the Hotwire customer
? Translate new project concepts into a coherent and engaging design that meets the user and business needs 
? Consult with the organization at large, participate in and guide strategic design decisions
? Communicate interface design elements through the organization
? Ensure that the product is delivered on time and with a consistent, user-driven design.
? Working closely with product managers and a product development team to define product direction and UX requirements
? Create and revise information architecture and interaction design documents, including: Conceptual IA documentation, site maps, concept diagrams, user personas or profiles, user scenarios, wireframes, flows, site inventory, template guidelines
? Facilitate usability research for new and existing projects, and accommodate findings into your designs

Requirements: 

? Strong communication skills are essential
? Knowledge of user-centered design principles, web design best practices and web standards
? Understanding of complex e-commerce businesses, preferably with travel industry experience
? Demonstrated ability to define and lead strategic and complex transactional interfaces

? Demonstrated experience using web analytics data to inform design decisions

            <description>&lt;p&gt;ClearViewEdge is a startup software company with a working Microsoft Access Database application that is being used successfully by three companies in the financial sector.      We have solid investor backing to convert this application to a C# .NET Windows product that will be commercially launched in 2010.&lt;br /&gt;

We are looking to hire a permanent technical lead and architect to guide the product development and support team.  Our office will be established in Newtown, CT. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Potential candidates should meet the following criteria.&lt;br /&gt;

Requirements:&lt;br /&gt;
Candidates should have a proven product development track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, and should have experience managing a project through all phases, from initial concept to customer delivery and support.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Specific skills and experience should include:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	Developing and managing requirements&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	Developing, documenting, and communicating architecture for projects&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	Creating and reviewing design documentation&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	Solid project management skills (development schedules, tracking progress, etc)&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	Proven leadership in managing teams of developers&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	Experience with creating and communicating a software development process&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	Working effectively with an SQA team and managing the defect discovery and repair process&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	Experience communicating with management and customers&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Technical Requirements:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Candidates should also have extensive .NET (Version 3.5) experience using C#, and a strong background in software development process and practices.  In addition, we will be looking for particular experience in one or more of the following areas:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	WCF / .NET Remoting&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	.NET WinForms, custom control creation, and WPF&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	ADO.NET and SQL Server&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	Infragistics NetAdvantage&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	Microsoft Composite Application Library (Prism)&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#8226;	Microsoft Enterprise Library application blocks&lt;br /&gt;

As a final side note, a candidate whose only experience with .NET is ASP.NET web applications is unlikely to be a good fit for this project.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;As an Interaction Designer for houseparty.com, you will be responsible for Web site and application designs adhering to a user-centered design approach. houseparty.com interaction designers translate business and user requirements and Web strategies into functional, engaging and usable online experiences using techniques such as wireframing, prototyping and storyboarding. As part of creating an online experience, interaction designers collaborate with strategists, graphic designers and copy writers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Duties and Responsibilities&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;? Participate in feature ideation and selection.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;? Participate in cross-functional brainstorming sessions to determine Web site features and functionality based on the business needs and objectives and user research findings.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;? Create compelling user experiences. Translate business requirements into concept scenarios, use cases, functional design concepts, workflows, storyboards, wireframes and prototypes. ? Experience&lt;br /&gt;
1 &amp;#8211; 2 years experience working in Web site or software information or interface design (preferrably a social application or community site).&lt;br /&gt;
Proven success designing sites and applications that use Web 2.0 technologies such as &lt;span class="caps"&gt;AJAX&lt;/span&gt;, Flex and Flash (interaction design, not the actual coding/scripting).&lt;br /&gt;
Portfolio demonstrating experience in wireframing/prototyping, storyboarding or workflow design.&lt;br /&gt;
Familiarity with user centered design (&lt;span class="caps"&gt;UCD&lt;/span&gt;) methodologies (e.g. user research, usability testing, etc).&lt;/p&gt;
