				<description>Tokyo, Japan - Moritex Corporation(TOKYO:7714), a leading machine vision and digital imaging manufacturer, has added a new long working distance lens, ML05-250N, to its existing lineup. The new ML05-250N enables for the first time a magnification of 0.5x, and a working distance (WD) of 250 mm. &lt;p&gt;The cost-effective ML-N series macro lenses are used to magnify objects in inspections for PCB, BGA (Ball Grid Array), appearance, and other alignments. The new addition to the non-telecentric macro lens lineup enables magnification and WD that were not possible with the original ML-N series. With the close-up ring, magnification and WD can be changed easily. Additionally, with a longer WD, it is possible to take long-distance shooting and apply various lightings. The 1,000 units are being sold for a retrofit application in the U.S. The customer expects to make additional purchases for this application in the future. &lt;p&gt;The companies also announced the launch of a single phase Motor Efficiency Controller Evaluation Module targeted at design engineers who are interested in making AC induction motors in their original equipment more energy efficient. This Evaluation Module, along with regular single phase Motor Efficiency Controllers, is available for purchase on the IXYS web site. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The single phase Evaluation Module incorporates Power Efficiency's E-Save Technology, which improves the efficiency of constant speed electric motors that are at times lightly loaded. Single phase motors are the most common motors found in residential and light commercial motor driven equipment.
