Life’s too short,To waste your day.I truly hope,You get out and play!     We hope this poem will bring smiles to you and others. And, we also hope it is one that motivates

Twixt failure and success the point’s so fine
Men sometimes know not when they touch the line,
Just when the pearl was waiting one more plunge,
How many a struggler has thrown up the sponge!
Then take this honey from the bitterest cup:
There is no failure save in giving up!

Get words of wisdom on failure and success.  This is a poem to read and reread!

Because it rains when we wish it wouldn't,
Because men do what they often shouldn't,
Because crops fail, and plans go wrong
Some of us grumble all day long.
But somehow, in spite of the care and doubt,
It seems at last that things work out.

Because we lose where we hoped to gain,
Because we suffer a little pain,
Because we must work when we'd like to play

Praise is a quiet and a gracious thing,
Like buds slow-forming, where the woods are bare,
Or silent recognition of the spring
Waiting to break upon the tremulous air.
Praise is a pillow to the tired head,
A lamp to light the traveler on his way;
It's the generous sacrament of bread
Shared between strangers at the close of day.
Swift is the word of praise to soothe

If is a word that should not be usedAll our ifs should be turned into whensRather than saying ifAlways say when
Maybe is a word that can not be heardIt takes away the actionand suggests it won't happenRather than maybe say when
So the moral of the poem is take the ifs and maybes                                  and change them into                                whens.

Poet: George Eliot

WE live in deeds, not years;
In thoughts, not breaths ;
In feelings, not in figures on a dial.

We should count time by heart throbs.
He most lives
Who thinks most,
Feels the noblest, acts the best.

Yet truth and falsehood meet in seeming,
Like the falling leaf and
Shadow on the pool's face.

Take yesterday’s worries
and sort them all out,
And you’ll wonder whatever
you worried about.

Look back, at the cares that
once furrowed your brow,
I fancy you’ll smile
at most of them now.

They seemed terrible then,
but they really were not,
For once out of the woods,
all the fears are forgot.

A little work, a little play,
To keep us going- and so, good-day!

A little warmth, a little light
Of love’s bestowing- -and so, good-night!

A little fun, to match the sorrow
Of each day’s growing- and so, good-morrow!

A little trust, that when we die
We reap our sowing! and so- good-bye!

This is one of those wonderful poems about life. This one is short but has many words for

Shadows are of passing note
But healing laughter cures.'
Be, therefore, ever joyful Friend,
And walk on gladsome feet
Towards tomorrow's brand new dawn
And promise sweet!

John wrote this poem for his sister and his friends.  It is a wish that he hoped would be one that they would all appreciate. While the poetry is

An’ ma says that our house is surely a fright,
But pa and I say that our house is all right.

At our house we laugh an’ we sing an’ we shout,

We are enthused about life, optimistic about what's to be,
Because the cheerleader inside looks for the best of life you see.

It's the strong support upon which you stand,
it emerges as a friend to lend you a hand.

Where does this light come from, where does the ray start?
It shines in your mind, but ignites in your heart.

"Hope" is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -

And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -

I've heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of Me.

The pains and heartaches of humanity -
If all were gathered up and given me,
I still should have my share of wealth and worth
Who have you, Friend of Old, to be my cheer
Through life's uncertain fortunes, year by year.

Thank God for friends, more prized as years increase,
Who, as possessions fail our hearts and hands,
Become the boon supreme, than gold and lands

The finest things in life are those
We neither sell nor buy;

A bursting bud - a bird that sings,
A glowing western sky,

And friends to love - those are indeed
Well worth their weight in gold-

And may you know the gladness which
such things forever hold.

To welcome a bright new day.

A little child with a

A hope and a peace supreme.

A hilltop fair with its

And a valley nestled between.

A friendly smile and a
handclasp warm
A gladness to call my own.

A fireside warm
