All of the photos we took at schools, early childhood centers, sports leagues, sports action and other events during this current school year are available at our website for you to purchase. We will be removing all of these photos from the website at the end of June to make room for the pictures we will be taking during the next school year.

Now is the time to order pictures if you have not done so already or to order extra photos for you and your family.

To view and order photos, click here and then search for your event. When you click on the "More..." link, you will see a list of all available events.

You can order digital versions of these photos. When you view your photos individually, you will find a Digital Products purchase option.

At the time of your appointment, bring in the school pictures from this school year that you would like to replace. Your appointment should take you no longer than about 5 minutes.

In a day or so after your appointment, we will let you know that your new school pictures are ready to be picked up. We can also mail them to you for a small fee.

Baseball, Softball and T-ball Picture Days

On which home plate were all those players standing?

We had a custom background made for the Baseball, Softball and T-Ball teams this year for picture day. No more cars rolling through the background of the individual pictures. That means that if heavy rain is projected for a picture day, we can move inside and still get great pictures.

For Shaker Youth Basesball, we managed to get through most of the day without rain. We missed you, Green Jackets, Braves and Reds. It really wasn't that wet!

Lots of thanks to Phil Turner, who coordinated picture day for the SYBL. For the few teams who missed picture day, Phil has the information as to how to reschedule.

Coming up we have busy week for the Shaker Rec Softball and T-Ball programs:

June 14 - U12 Raider Red and Raider Navy at Ludlow

Hollywood comes to Shaker Heights for 'A Red Carpet Affair' ice skating spectacular

SHAKER HEIGHTS -- A little bit of Hollywood will come to life this weekend when more than 100 ice skaters take to the rink for the 31st annual Shaker Spring Skating Spectacular.
“A Red Carpet Affair” will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday at the Thornton Park ice rink, 3301 Warrensville Center Road.
Tickets for the evening shows range from $12 to $240 for a VIP table for six. Tickets for the Saturday matinee are $10 to $180 for the VIP table. Call (216) 491-1290.
The ice show will have an Academy Award theme with a modern twist, Ice Show Director and skating coordinator Erin Schopf said.
The skaters will perform to Academy Award winning songs and various movie themes.
Schopf is literally rolling out the red carpet for this show. Guests will be treated like movie starts with “paparazzi” snapping their pictures and asking what they are wearing.
The show will feature students in the Shaker Figure Skating Club and the Thornton Park Learn to Skate program.

For these skaters, the ice show caps off the skating season as a fun and stress-free event.
“It’s nice for these girls to finish and have a good time,” Schopf said. “It’s not about competing, it’s more about performing and being with their friends.
For the red carpet show Schopf wanted to encourage the skaters to bring out their creative sides, so she choreographed many “theater inspired” numbers.
Competitive skater Cassandra Wood, of Shaker Heights, has been skating for 10 years and loves the challenge of the sport.
“There’s no real point where you’re as good as you’re going to get,” she said. “You can always get better.”
Wood, 13, said she is looking forward to the ice show as a way to unwind after the competitive skating season.
“With the ice show you don’t have to worry about being perfect and landing every single jump,” she said. “Competitions are a lot more stressful, and this is just fun.”
Schopf said the ice show is a full theatrical production, with full lighting, music and a fiber optic screen. Expenses are covered by ticket sales and skating registration fees.

Schopf has been skating since she was three years old and has been the skating coordinator here for almost eight years.
“I really love it,” she said during a recent rehearsal for the ice show. “The kids are now kind of my family. To just see the product that comes out during this show, it’s just unbelievable to me.”
She lives in North Olmsted with her husband and their two children.
Junior National Intermediate Dance Competitors Greta Riebe and Jacob Jaffe and Midwestern Sectional Competitor Hannah Kimberly will be featured as guest skaters.

We will have action photos of the show available for purchase along with the group and individual photos we took last Sunday.

Gilmour Spring Figure Skating Exhibition

Sunday, May 16, 2010 we will be at the Gilmour Spring Figure Skating Exhibition. We will be both taking still photographs and creating a video recording.

Stop by after the exhibition to view the photographs on our viewing stations. We will be able to print 4x6s, 5x7s, and 8x10s that day, so you can take them home with you. Or select a skater CD containing all the images we shot during your skater's performance.

Place your DVD order with us, and the DVDs will be delivered to you through the Gilmour Figure Skating Club.

Shaker Ice Show 2010

Sunday, May 16, 2010 is picture day for the Shaker Ice Spectacular.

Soloists, featured skaters, duets and trios are having their individual pictures taken from noon until 1:00 pm on a first come, first served basis. These are both the head shots which will be used in the program and the full costume, full body pictures.

From 1:00 to 2:00 we will be taking group pictures, which will also be included in the program. Individuals who are skating in groups are encouraged to have your individual pictures taken at this time. If you are in several groups and need to do a quick costume change, feel free to come early in your favorite costume and have your individual picture taken from 12:00-1:00.

There will be a rehearsal for the finale at 2:00 and then at 2:30 two Learn To Skate groups and the hockey boys will have their group pictures taken.

Karyn will be there to take orders for group and individual pictures. She will also take orders for the DVD.

Please remember to get your tickets for the Shaker Ice Spectacular!

There will be performances Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening. We'll be taking action photos Friday evening and they will be available for purchase as 4x6 prints at the Saturday performances. The action pictures will also be posted online at http://www.proeventphoto.com/.

Shaker Heights High School Prom 2010

Tonight we will be taking pictures at the Shaker Heights High School prom. For those of you who prepaid, thanks. I'll be taking your orders with me to the prom, so just see me at the Prom Picture check in desk. I'm wearing a red MotoPhoto shirt.
