The Tale of two DIY Lensers V24s.

I built a DIY Lenser V24 last year using the instructions at the following link.

I didn’t have my camera set correctly, and I was unhappy with the setup. I made another DIY Lenser V24 using a clear rod, and then sanded the rod with steel wool to make it opaque. I used a common RGB Controller to power the LED, and I am using six AA batteries to power the wand. I had been using the opaque wand, when my buddy from Justin Epperson Photography wanted me to make him a wand.

I reworked the bubble wand with the RGB Controller and fired up the wand. I found that there are some differences between the wands. The wand on the right is the bubble wand.

I felt the Bubble Wand is brighter, so I did a few test shots.

Ribbon Orbs in the Barn

The brief, but warmer weather allowed me to get out, and shoot. This is a series of what I call Ribbon Orbs. The orbs are make with a Homemade Lenser V24.
The barn was lit by a off camera flash.

The glowing red is done with my light stick on backside of the wall.

Lexington Cemetery, Lexington Kentucky

It was a cold day at the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington Kentucky, and I was unable to get more than a few shots that day.

The most famous tomb would be the Henry Clay Monument.

Spent the day shooting my 65 Corvair in shop. This first one is black and white.

I have a new style of light painting. This one is done in red only.

Same style of light painting, but rainbowed.

See though hood is done with one shot. Only window and level is done in Light Room.

This was also done with one shot, and very little work in Light Room.

Ten Mile Cemetery

Ten Mile Missionary Baptist Church and Cemetery Est. 1820 is the fourth oldest Baptist Church in the State of Illinois. I went out to the oldest part of the cemetery.

Little Springs Primitive Baptist Church

Little Springs Primitive Baptist Church is located in Hamilton County, IL. The Church was Organized 1828 and the current building was erected 1903. They still hold church here.

The gentelmen buried here fought in the War of 1812.

Helping a photography student.

Sometimes being a president of a club has perks. A student at SIU was wanting to take pictures of bearded guys for a project in class. He contacted the club, and I was glad to help. I had a blast learning about the wrestling business, and came away with a few nice pictures. Kudos go to Jake Haines, and I hope he does well with his class.

I am pictured with Joshua Morale another club member of SIBME.
