For some people, fun is literally running Motorcycle Salvage Yards. This is because running Motorcycle Salvage Yards allows them to stay in constant touch with their motorcycle-mechanic side. Motorcycles, to such people, are like a disease to a doctor – there is always that intellectual curiosity about why this part works this way and how the teeny-tiny parts work in conjunction with one another to make a fast, sleek machine that can go from zero to 100 kph in 10 seconds (without you crashing it into a tree, that is.) But how does one set up and run Motorcycle Salvage Yards anyway?

To set up and run Motorcycle Salvage Yards, you need to figure out how much you can comfortably invest into this business without going bankrupt if the market proves to be weak or zero for you. For one thing, you need a sizeable piece of idle land that you can convert into your own Motorcycle Salvage Yard. You need to then build enclosed structures where you will stock your Motorcycle Salvage parts and motorcycles so that they’re not at the mercy of the elements (particularly water.) You may need to hire people who will work on the machines for you while you run your Motorcycle Salvage company. You may need office staff like a secretary, and an accountant to man the company offices for you while you deal with clients.

You get your Motorcycle Salvage parts and motorcycles from Insurance Companies who will sell these vehicles to you so that they can recoup the insurance payout to their own insurance clients. This is where your motorcycle-mechanic side has to be very astute, diligently examining each of the Motorcycle Salvage parts and motorcycles you are to buy to make sure your own clients will not be disappointed over the quality of the Motorcycle Salvage parts and motorcycles that you will eventually be offering to them. If you are planning to make your Motorcycle Salvage Yard a relatively big business, obviously you cannot examine each of the Motorcycle Salvage parts and motorcycles on your own so that then means hiring very good mechanics. These mechanics will be the lifeblood of your business because a client can forgive a secretarial error, maybe even an accountancy error, but never a mechanical error when it comes to the Motorcycle Salvage parts and motorcycles that the client buys.

Why is it so important to be scrupulous with the mechanical checks on the parts and motorcycles? First of all, would you yourself get on a motorcycle that you know had sub-standard parts and was sloppily put together? Obviously, if you want to live longer, you wouldn’t. Same goes for your clients – neither would they ride a dangerous machine like a motorcycle that was based on sub-standard parts and was not well put together. For your clients to spread good feedback about your business to their own friends, family and colleagues (and thus bring in more business your way), you should really invest in excellent training for your own company mechanics.

The Japanese company Suzuki is known initially for the motorcycles they produce. In recent years though, the company is fast becoming known as a serious competitor in the global auto industry. One of the most recent additions to its lineup is the redesigned Suzuki XL7. The crossover was redesigned completely that even the vehicle’s name underwent a facelift. Previously known as the Suzuki XL-7, it is now known simply as the Suzuki XL7.

The redesigned crossover was made bigger than its predecessor. According to Suzuki, the XL7 is 9.8 inches longer than is predecessor. This increase in length means that legroom inside the vehicle is significantly increased. Its three rows of seating can adequately accommodate up to seven people. Its second row of seats can hold up to three passengers and the rearmost seat is designed to be occupied by two persons.

The construction of the XL7 and its predecessor is also different. The previous XL-7 was built around a platform which it shared with the Suzuki Grand Vitara. The body-on-frame truck-based platform is replaced by a unibody construction. The new XL7 comes with an independent front suspension – something that its predecessor lacks.

Another improvement that Suzuki made with the crossover is to improve the engine under its hood. The old crossover was equipped with a 2.7-liter V6 engine. That V6 engine can only produce 185 horsepower which pales in comparison to the new XL7’s engine. The new engine is a 3.6-liter V6 engine with an output of 252 horsepower.

The XL7 is offered in three trim levels – the Base, Luxury and the Limited variants. While the XL7 can seat up to seven passengers, Suzuki also offers a five-seater XL7. The new XL7 was designed for American car buyers, evident in the way that space inside the cabin is increased. With Suzuki’s collaboration with General Motors, it comes as no surprise that Suzuki would come out with a car tailor made for Americans.

The base model of the XL7 offers a lot of features unlike base models offered by many car manufacturers which are stripped down versions of the real car. The top-of the-line Limited is loaded with features for passenger convenience and comfort that it can almost compete with entry-level luxury crossover SUVs.

The exterior of the XL7 is fresh which means that Suzuki can use the design concept used in the XL7 to be used on their other vehicles. This would give them the distinction that they surely want for their vehicles. The exterior of the vehicle posses clean lines and a bulky look. This is because the edges of the vehicle were rounded off. Using aftermarket parts like Pacesetter exhausts can enhance the good looks of the crossover.

Safety features for the XL7 includes a safety cage built into the vehicle’s frame. The construction of the safety cage absorbs the energy created by the impact on collisions but at the same time protects the passenger and driver inside the vehicle. A four-wheel anti-lock brake system is also a feature of the Suzuki XL7. This safety feature is complemented by an electronic stability program. Interestingly, the ESP was taken from Daimler Benz by Suzuki.

It was a decisive day in the history of American automobile culture in 1902, when two young friends left their stable jobs at a Milwaukee engineering firm to embark upon a venture that would irrevocably shape the course of motorcycle history forever.

This was the day when William S Harley and Arthur Davidson designed and built the first single-cylinder engine (400CC) right out of a toolshed in Davidson’s backyard.

Although though the first motor was reliable, it was enlarged because it was underpowered. The initial frame was too weak to hold the new engine so it was replaced with a stronger, more substantial structure that was built similar to the prototype. In 1903 they produced two more bikes and three the following year. By 1907, Harley Davidson’s growing reputation for their reliable product helped to push their annual production rate to over 150. The year was also 1907 when Harley Davidson decided it was time to raise money for expansion. They became a corporation and divided the shares among seventeen employees. They moved themselves out of the Davidson’s shed and into a much bigger premise which is still their location – Juneau Avenue in Milwaukee.

The early models of Harley-Davidson motorbikes had no lights and no suspension. Within a few years after production began, Harley’s soon had fitted leading link forks a magneto ignition and a carbide gas headlamp. The model 5 produced in 1909 had about 4bhp from its 494cc inlet over exhaust engine, with a speed of 45mph. Bicycle petals were used to start the engine. Once the bike was in motion the leather drive belt was tightened using a hand lever. (To have a more contemporary view of what harley davidson parts now look like, please visit our website).

The first V-twin Harley was built in 1909. It was the model 5D but was not an immediate success. The V-twin produced close to 7bhp, which was almost twice as much as the single engine but it was difficult to start and suffered from a slipping drive belt. Two years later, in 1911, they introduced the 45-degree V-twin with a revised valve gear, new frame and had been fitted with a full floating seat and chain drive. These new improvements made a huge difference which caused the V-twin’s popularity to grow. By the year 1913 the model 9E’s 1000cc power plant was producing 10bhp which gave the bike a top speed of 60mph.

Initially Harley-Davidson was reluctant to get themselves involved in racing, such as reliability runs however, by 1914 they changed their minds and entered a factory team. The firm’s Milwaukee crew, the “Wrecking Crew” rode powerful 8-valve V-twins which were very competitive against the rival Merkel and Excelsior, and Indian. This became a great period for Harley-Davidson as production rose to more than 22,000 bikes and 16,000 sidecars in 1919. These numbers were cut in half in the upcoming 2 years mainly because of the Model T Ford, which put the majority of American motorcycle companies out of business.

Harley-Davidson is known for its large capacity V-twins but the smaller 45ci Forty Five played a vital part in the history of the company. The Forty Five, produced in 1928, was the first machine with a total loss oil system. It was restyled and updated 9 years later to create the W series. It was the simple and strong Forty Five that kept Harley-Davidson in business through the Depression of the 1930’s. The WLA model proved to be a useful military machine in which close to 80,000 were being used in the Second World War. These “war bikes” were converted for civilian use after the war was over which helped to popularize Harley-Davidson worldwide.

In 1936, while still suffering the effects of the Depression, Harley-Davidson introduced the Model 61E. This model’s 61cc V-twin engine was a huge advancement over other models due to its overhead valve design and recirculating oil system. The neat style of the 61E helped it become a huge success. It became known as the knucklehead because of the shape of the engines rocker covers. It gave it a technical advantage over its rival Indian and became the ancestor to modern Harley’s.

Harley-Davidson will forever be synonymous with producing great bikes. What started as a dream, survived the Depression, and is still going strong today. There is nothing quite like hearing the rumble of a Harley as you’re heading for the highway.

BMW has had a successful history of motorsport since it first appeared in 1938 in the resistance along the Mille Miglia. The year was 1938 and BMW has entered their car sport 2.0-liter BMW 328 in the famous street race Miles of miles. The car has done very well for a number of drivers who were taking part in the car and he directed the victory of class flying out from their competitors. The following year the car has shown promise but could not win the event and that is truly what it ’s creators wanted to do. Their patience paid off in 1940 when a car of BMW 328, the car that won their class in 1938, won the event after lle 998 miles tiring. The car was aided and has been updated with an aerodynamic body that has given more aerodynamic efficiency. BMW 328 also won the RAC rally in 1939 and have since finished fifth overall after 24 hours and first in class from 2 liters. This meant it was regarded as the best international sports car that was in the category of 2 liters. Currently, BMW was racing motorcycles, in 1939 one of their motorcycles has won the island’s TT and other events as the world championship of the sidecar. This continued until 1970 ’s.BMW also had a reasonably big story in Formula 1. During the 1980 ’s who wanted to develop an engine for F1 purposes. The Brabham F1 team has seen this opportunity and the engine in the first place was underway in 1982. The first victory of the race engine was great prix Canadian 1982 with the help of Nelson Piquet. The after season in 1983, the association continued and the BMW powered Brabham took 4 victories on its way to help the victory of Nelson Piquet the title. BMW has changed the Benetton team in 1986 but has only been able to win a race world championship. With the success in Formula 1 to a minimum, BMW has decided to drop their engines in the world championship by the end of the season 1986. The engine used continued during 1987 but which have been changed Megatron title because he bought the rights to the engine and were put into the team of arrows for 1987. The BMW engine was famous for being the first Formula 1 engine to develop more than 1000hp in the provision of the race and nearly 1400hp in the provision of qualifying when the pressure was completely hooked. They have not yet provided the Formula 1 until 1997 when they formed an association agreement with the Williams F1 team have their engines for the 2000 season onwards. The powerful engine of E41 V10 has been done to the team of Williams and debuted by the team where I managed to get third place in the constructors’ championship and 3 floor podium. There were still some disagreements over the association with Williams and in 2005 a major row has erupted about the reliability of the engines and the team was not competitive at season.BMW then bought the rights to the Sauber team that has allowed them to install their own team and to design a car from the ground up. The car did enough in the first fifth of the earnings season themselves in the constructor ‘championship s. Jacque Villeneuve who was with the team when he was Sauber has had disagreements with BMW and has since gone to the conclusion of the season where the Polish driver Robert Kubica of Burba replaced it and immediately showed promise.
