During the September 2011, Democratic Primary widespread voter fraud was committed on behalf of Mayoral candidate Ernie Davis to ensure him victory. Such widespread fraud could not occur without the help of Westchester Election Commissioner Reginald Lafayette. There were other key players working behind the scenes helping go through voter registration rolls and picking out the voters voters who had not voted in several years. These votes would then be cast in favor of Ernie Davis.

The Davis campaign also employed some of the most dangerous and violent thugs in the City of Mount Vernon. Davis has even employed registered sex offenders on his campaign.

To that end, the Justice Department has confirmed that resources will be available in Mount Vernon to protect the Democratic process and to combat fraud.

Mount Vernon, NY DEMOCRATIC district leader and community activist Samuel L. Rivers today announced that he will be hold a press conference to disseminate documents that he say will prove that former Mayor and current Mayoral candidate Ernie Davis was involved in mortgage fraud and election fraud.

Ernie Davis owns a condominium located at 23 Water Grant Street, Unit #11M, which was purchased in 1999. According to mortgage documents obtained from the Westchester County clerk, Ernie Davis indicated that he would be occupying the unit as his primary residence for a period of at least one year, which means his election bid in 1999 was illegal and violated NYS election law. Ernie Davis’ actions were criminal in nature.

Ernie Davis is also behind in his property taxes by at least $32K and has had a lien filed against him by the condo association for unpaid condo charges. According to the Westchester County Clerk’s office, the lienor, Bd Mgr. Of Pierpointe On The Hudson Condo I, filed a lien in March 2011 for $ 2,600.60 for unpaid common charges.

“Ernie Davis is unfit for public office”, said Rivers. Ernie can’t manage his own finances so why should voters entrust him with a $90M budget?” “It appears that Ernie wants to continue the criminal activity made infamous during his administration. Mount Vernon will not progress under an Ernie Davis administration” Rivers added.

At the press conference Rivers will distribute copies of the mortgage documents to the public.

§175.35 of NYS Penal Law

Offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree

A person is guilty of offering a false instrument for filing in the

first degree when, knowing that a written instrument contains a false

statement or false information, and with intent to defraud the state or

any political subdivision, public authority or public benefit

corporation of the state, he offers or presents it to a public office,

public servant, public authority or public benefit corporation with the

knowledge or belief that it will be filed with, registered or recorded

in or otherwise become a part of the records of such public office,

public servant, public authority or public benefit corporation.

Offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree is a class E felony.

§ 17-104 of NYS Election Law

False Registration

Any person who:

1. Registers or attempts to register as an elector in more than one

election district for the same election, or more than once in the same election

district; or,

2. Registers or attempts to register as an elector, knowing that he will

not be a qualified voter in the district at the election for which such registration

is made; or

3. Registers or attempts to register as an elector under any name but

his own; or

4. Knowingly gives a false residence within the election district when

registering as an elector; or

5. Knowingly permits, aids, assists, abets, procures, commands or

advises another to commit any such act, is guilty of a felony.

§ 17-132 of NYS Election Law

Illegal Voting

Any person who:

1. Knowingly votes or offers or attempts to vote at any election, when

not qualified; or,

2. Procures, aids, assists, counsels or advises any person to go or

come into any election district, for the purpose of voting at any election,

knowing that such person is not qualified; or,

3. Votes or offers or attempts to vote at an election, more than once;

or votes or offers or attempts to vote at an election under any other name than

his own; or votes or offers or attempts to vote at an election, in an election

district or from a place where he does not reside; or,

4. Procures, aids, assists, commands or advises another to vote or

offer or attempt to vote at an election, knowing that such person is not

qualified to vote thereat; or,

5. Prompts a person, applying to vote, to falsely answer questions put

to him by the inspectors concerning his identity or qualifications for voting; or,

6. Being an applicant for an absentee voter’s ballot, makes a material

false statement in his application, or a person who makes a material false

statement in a medical certificate or an affidavit filed in connection with an

application for an absentee voter’s ballot; or,

7. Not being a qualified absentee voter, and having knowledge or

being chargeable with knowledge of that fact, votes or attempts to vote as an

absentee voter; or,

8. Fraudulently signs the name of another upon an absentee voter’s

envelope or aids in doing or attempting to do a fraudulent act in connection

with an absentee vote cast or attempted to be cast; or,

9. Falsely pretends or represents to the inspectors of election or any of

them that he is incapacitated to mark his ballot, for the purpose of obtaining

assistance in voting under the provisions of this chapter, is guilty of a felony.

Any offer or attempt under this section shall be deemed to be the

doing of any act made necessary by this chapter preliminary to the delivery of

a ballot to an elector or the deposit of the ballot in the ballot box or his

admission to the booth or voting machine enclosure.

On Wednesday, October 6, 2011 the Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee held a meeting announcing that the Democrats were united and wholeheartedly supporting Ernest D. Davis for Mayor. The rally was chaired and led my Westchester County Democratic Chairman and Election Commissioner Reggie Lafayette. The meeting which had racist tone towards Republicans and Conservatives did not serve any legitimate purpose whatsoever.

Democratic district leader Samuel L. Rivers was the target of the meeting by Lafayette and others including former Mayor Ernest D. Davis. At one point in the meeting, Davis even said that he was going to “muster all of the force he can to run Rivers out of town” Rivers is a community activist known for challenging corruption head on against the crooked politicians.

Mount Vernon Exposed also received a copy a letter dated October 12, 2011 that Rivers wrote to the former Mayor. MOUNT VERNON, NY Democratic district leader and Community Activist Samuel L. Rivers today announced that he is spearheading an “Occupy Mount Vernon” rally to bring attention to issues affecting City of Mount Vernon taxpayers and the quality of life in the City of Mount Vernon.

A flier currently making its way through the Mount Vernon community states “We gather to Occupy Mount Vernon because the 1% closed the social security office”. Rivers said the flier is being circulated to approximately 35,000 City residents. The City of Mount Vernon needs to know that it was the Democratic led Congress that made $1Billion in cuts to the Social Security budget that resulted in the Social Security office in Mount Vernon closing and offices nationwide now closing at 3:30 P.M., an half an hour earlier than the previous closing time of 4 P.M.

Rivers said during the past 16 years of Democratic Mayoral leadership, that Mount Vernon has seen records levels of corruption, the highest unemployment rate since the great depression, an increase in violent crime including murders, and the cut of programs for our young people. “The 1% made these cuts”, said Rivers. “We have a disruptive group of individuals being led by Westchester Democratic Chairman Reggie Lafayette, former Mayor Ernie Davis and County Legislator Lyndon Williams that are running through Mount Vernon spreading racist rhetoric and outright lies in order to win votes for the November election” Rivers said. “Political grandstanding will be challenged head on and the public will be made immediately aware”, said Rivers.

“The 1% that has been in power for the past 16 years has caused the destruction of Mount Vernon and has contributed to the decline in the quality of life for the other 99%”, Rivers continued. “It is time to stop the finger pointing and playing the race card and time for unity across all party lines. Mount Vernon, NY- DEMOCRATIC district leader and community activist Samuel L. Rivers today announced that he will be actively campaigning for City Council in the November election. Rivers will be on the Republican and Conservative lines. “I am proud to be on the Republican and Conservative lines” said Rivers. It is time for the Democratic leadership to stop playing the race card and dividing the community by saying that the Republican and Conservative parties are against the black community.

Rivers said that after attending a Democratic district leader meeting last week that he is fed up with the “Hitler style” divide and conquer tactics used by top Democrats throughout Westchester County. The African American community especially in Mount Vernon needs to know that it was the Republican Party that fought to end slavery and pass the civil rights act and it was the Democrats that fought at every opportunity to block such progressive measures. “The black community must not forget that Martin Luther King Jr., Frederick Douglas, and Harriet Tubman were Republicans and they must remember that the Klu Klux Klan was born out of the Democratic Party.

While he said that he subscribes to a majority of the principles of the Democratic Party, Rivers said party doesn’t matter and that people especially blacks should ignore the Democratic line in November and should Vote Row “C” to clean up Mount Vernon. “I am a Democrat, I am an elected Democratic district leader and I am asking everyone especially, the African American community to cross party lines and vote Conservative this November. The Conservative Party has a proven track record of fighting for the underprivileged, cutting taxes, and creating jobs. Vote Row “C” to clean up Mount Vernon,” Rivers said. “There is no coincidence that the ten poorest cities in America all have elected Democrat Mayors,” he added.

Rivers said that he is not supporting any of the Democratic Party backed slate. Rivers said that the last two Mayors endorsed and supported by the Mount Vernon Democratic City community have created an image of corruption that will lasts for decades to come. Both Mayors saw members of their administration indicted and sentenced for betraying the public’s trust.

On Thursday, October 10, 2011, a special meeting was held at the Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee headquarters. Many district leaders had no idea why this special meeting was being called. It turned out that this meeting was the top leadership rallying up their troops to continue the corruption in the City of Mount Vernon. The big money construction contracts and kickbacks that line the corrupt politicians pockets are in jeopardy of coming to a screeching halt.

The meeting was nothing more than racial hate mongering spewed by Westchester County Election Commissioner Reginald Lafayette, State Senator Ruth Hassell-Thompson, and former Mayor Ernest Davis. At times, former Mayor Davis made direct threats stating that those that are critical of him will be ran out of Mount Vernon into neighboring communities such as Bronxville and the he will “muster” all of the force that he can to see this through to fruition. A copy of the recording has been provided to the public to show that the Democrats are indeed the party of racial hate and destruction in the black community.

Westchester County Election Commissioner and 1^st Vice Chairman of the Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee Reginald Lafayette continues to display to the public that he is an uneducated babbling fool that only seems to make jokes such as “Who put too much orange juice in my vodka”? This is the kind of drunken leadership that has earned Mount Vernon its current reputation as being a corrupt city full of crooked politicians. Mr. Lafayette told the room that the Republican and Conservatives were against the Civil rights and Voting Rights Acts. Mr. Lafayette continues to play the race card by constantly invoking that the Conservatives are against President Obama.

The purpose of this meeting was to preach a so-called message on unity. Ray Charles could see that this political posturing by the corrupt Mount Vernon Democratic leadership was nothing more than a smokescreen to protect their vested interest. The City of Mount Vernon will never unite with these crooks navigating the ship. It is time for a change. A real change. The democrats must be defeated in November by such big numbers that it will force them into retirement. It was the Democrats that made Mount Vernon into the highest taxed City in America.

The meeting also brought out some of former Mayor Davis’ most notorious supporters and henchmen. Ganga “Rudy” Persaud, a convicted felon, was present as well as former Commissioner of Buildings Ralph Tedesco, and Former 1^st Deputy Commissioner of Social Services Diane Atkins. We will follow up at a later time about the questionable alliances of former Mayor Ernie Davis.

Democrats across the country have consistently taken the black vote for granted. They tell their followers that the Republicans and the Conservative have blocked the civil rights movement and have been against the voting rights act. Voters must come out in full force in November to defeat the entire Democratic Party backed slate. The future of Mount Vernon is at stake.

Now for some facts about the Democratic Party:

The Democrat Party's Long and Shameful History of Bigotry and Racism

A common attack upon conservatives and republicans by the ultra-left is to engage in what has come to be known as "playing the race card" but is more accurately described as racial McCarthyism. Hardly a day goes by without a member of the far left wing falsely accusing conservatives of racism, bigotry, and a wide array of similar nasty things. They are not only dishonest, but they often border on the absurd, as in NAACP leader and hyper bigot Julian Bond's recent implication to his organization that Bush administration officials supported confederate slavery. Amazingly, Bond's statements went without condemnation from the radical Democrat party or others in his organization.

Not surprisingly, in all the lies and accusations of racism by the radical left wing, the truth becomes distorted not only about the Republicans but also the Democrats who make these accusations themselves. For instance, you may or may not have heard Democrat Senator Robert Byrd's outburst of racist bigoted slurs, more specifically the "n-word," on national television in March of 2001.

Amazingly, this incident of blatant racism on national television drew barely a peep from the NAACP, Jesse Jackson, Julian Bond, Mary Frances Berry, or any of the other ambulance chasers who purport themselves to be the leaders of the civil rights movement. In contrast, the main source of well-deserved criticism for Byrd's racist outburst came not from any of the so called leaders of the civil rights movement but from Republican Majority Leader Dick Armey (source). The race hustlers Jackson, Mfume et al turned a blind eye towards this act of racism by one of their own party, at most issuing an unpublicized slap on the wrist, or, as was more often the case, making not a peep. But where the race hustlers turn a blind eye and spew their lies, it is up to conservatives to set the record straight with the truth.

In response to the growing practice of racial McCarthyism by prominent left wing Democrats, it is necessary to expose the truth about the Democrat Party's record on Civil Rights:

I. Acts of Bigotry by Prominent Democrats and Leftists:

Franklin Delano Roosevelt: Franklin Roosevelt, the longtime hero and standard bearer of the Democrat Party, headed up and implemented one of the most horrible racist policies of the 20th Century – the Japanese Internment Camps during World War II. Roosevelt unilaterally and knowingly enacted Japanese Internment through the use of presidential Executive Orders 9066 and 9102 during the early years of the war. These orders single-handedly led to the imprisonment of an estimated 120,000 law abiding Americans of Japanese ancestry, the overwhelming majority of them natural born second and third generation American citizens. Countless innocents lost their property, fortunes, and, in the case of an unfortunate few, even their lives as a result of Roosevelt's internment camps, camps that have been accurately described as America's concentration camps. Perhaps most telling about the racist nature of Roosevelt's order was his clearly expressed intention to apply it almost entirely to Japanese Americans, even though America was also at war with Germany and Italy.

In 1943, Roosevelt wrote regarding concerns of German and Italian Americans that they t0o would share in the fate of the interned Japanese Americans, noting that "no collective evacuation of German and Italian aliens is contemplated at this time." Despite this assertion, Roosevelt did exhibit his personal fears about Italian and German Americans, and in his typical racist form he used an ethnic stereotype to make his point. Expressing about his position on German and Italian Americans during World War II, Roosevelt stated “I don’t care so much about the Italians, they are a lot of opera singers, but the Germans are different. They may be dangerous.”

Roosevelt also appointed two notorious segregationists to the United States Supreme Court. Roosevelt appointed South Carolina segregationist Democrat Jimmy Byrnes to the court. Roosevelt later made Byrnes a top advisor, where the segregationist earned the nickname “assistant president.” Byrnes was Roosevelt’s second choice behind Harry Truman for the VP nod in his 1944 reelection bid. Roosevelt also appointed segregationist Democrat Senator Hugo Black of Alabama to the court. Black was a former member of the Ku Klux Klan with a notorious record of racism himself.

Hugo Black: A former Democrat Senator from Alabama and liberal U.S. Supreme Court Justice appointed by FDR, Hugo Black had a lengthy history of hate group activism. Black was a member of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1920's and gained his legal fame defending Klansmen under prosecution for racial murders. In one prominent case, Black provided legal representation to Klansman Edwin Stephenson for the hate-induced murder of a Catholic priest in Birmingham. A jury composed of several Klan members acquitted Stephenson of the murder, reportedly after Black expressed Klan gestures to the jury during the trial. In 1926 Black sought and won election as a Democrat to the United States Senate after campaigning heavily to Klan membership. He is said to have told one Klan audience "I desire to impress upon you as representatives of the real Anglo-Saxon sentiment that must and will control the destinies of the stars and stripes, that I want your counsel." In the Senate Black became a staunch supporter of the liberal New Deal initiatives of FDR and a solid opponent of civil rights legislation, including a filibuster of an anti-lynching measure. Black led the push for several New Deal programs and was a key participant in FDR's court packing scandal. Roosevelt appointed Black, a loyal ally, to the U.S. Supreme Court. During the Senate confirmation of Black's nomination, the issue of his strong Klan affiliations caused a public controversy over his appointment. Following the confirmation Roosevelt claimed ignorance of Black's Klan past, though this claim was dubious at best. Black's first Senate election, which occurred with Klan support, had been covered nationally a decade earlier in 1926. Black's Klan affiliations were a well-known part of his political background and received heavy coverage in the newspapers at the time of his appointment. On the court, Black became a liberal stalwart. He also continued his career of supporting racism by authoring the opinion in favor of FDR's Japanese internment program in the infamous Korematsu ruling.

Senator Robert Byrd, D-WV: Byrd is a former member of the Ku Klux Klan and is currently the only national elected official with a history in the Klan, a well-known hate group. Byrd was extremely active in the Klan and rose to the rank of “Kleagle,” an official Klan membership recruiter. Byrd once stated that he joined the Klan because it was effective in "promoting traditional American values" (Source). Byrd's choice of words speak volumes about his bigotry considering the fact that the Klan is a notorious hate group, and the racist "values" it promotes are anything but American. One of the earliest criticisms of Byrd's Klan ties came in 1952 when he was running for Congress. Byrd responded by claiming that he had left the Klan in 1943 while noting that "(d) during the nine years that have followed, I have never been interested in the Klan." Byrd was lying, however, as he engaged in correspondence with a Klan Imperial Wizard long after he claims to have ended his ties with the hate group. In a letter to the Klan leadership (Source) dated 3 years after he purported to have ended his ties with them; Byrd wrote "I am a former kleagle of the Ku Klux Klan in Raleigh County and the adjoining counties of the state. The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia." Byrd continued his racist diatribe "It is necessary that the order be promoted immediately and in every state of the Union" and followed with a request for assistance from the hate group's leadership in "rebuilding the Klan in the realm" of West Virginia.

Byrd's racism extends far beyond his Klan membership. In a letter he wrote on the subject of desegregating the armed forces, Byrd escalated his racist rhetoric to an appalling level. In the letter, Byrd vowed that he would never fight in an integrated armed services noting "(r)rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds".

Byrd's racist opinions have shown their ugly face in his behavior in the Senate. Byrd led the filibuster of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and, according to the United States Senate's own website, filibustered the legislation to the bitter end appearing as one of the last opponents to the act before a coalition of civil rights proponents led by Republican Minority Leader Everett Dirksen invoked cloture so that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 could pass. At the time, Byrd was in the midst of a 14 hour and 13 minute filibuster diatribe against the key civil rights measure. Throughout the 1960's, Byrd was one of the staunchest opponents to civil rights in the U.S. Senate. Byrd’s racist history drew attention recently when he went on national television and repeatedly used the n-word, one of the most vicious racial slurs in existence, in an appearance on national television. Byrd uttered the slur on Fox News Sunday with Tony Snow on March 5, 2001. Despite the appalling nature of the remark, it went largely ignored by the mainstream media and the self-appointed "civil rights" leadership. Whereas a similar remark by anyone other than a leading Democrat Senator would assuredly prompt the likes of Jesse Jackson to assemble protest rallies demanding resignations, the Jackson crowd was eerily quiet following Byrd's remarks, issuing only low key suggestions that Byrd should avoid making such bigoted remarks.

In a sickening recognition of Byrd's appalling political career, the national Democrat party has done nothing but embrace the West Virginia senator with leadership roles and practically every honor imaginable. To this very day the Democrats call former Klansman turned U.S. Senator Robert Byrd the "conscience of the Senate." They have embraced him as their party's central pillar in all ways possible. Byrd has been reelected more times than any other Democrat senator, has served as a Democrat in Congress, a Democrat State Senator in West Virginia, and a Democrat State Delegate in West Virginia. Democrats have made repeatedly elected Byrd into their national party leadership and into the U.S. Senate leadership. He became secretary of the Senate Democrat Caucus in 1967, and Senate Democrat Whip in 1971. The Democrats elected former Klansman Byrd as their Senate Majority Leader from 1977-1980 and as their Senate Minority Leader from 1981-1986. Byrd was again elected Democrat Majority Leader from 1987-1988. Democrats made Byrd the chairman of the powerful Appropriations Committee and President Pro Tempore of the Senate from 1989 until the Republicans won control of the Senate in November 1994. Following the defection of Jim Jeffords in June 2001, the Democrats again made Byrd the chairman of the Appropriations Committee and elected him to the highest ranking office in the Senate: the President Pro Tempore, a position which also put this former Klansman 4th in line for the presidency. Byrd lost his position when Republicans retook the Senate in late 2002, but continues to serve as one of the highest ranking members of the Democrat Senate leadership today.

Senator Ernest Hollings, D-SC: Hollings is liberal Democrat Senator from South Carolina who is also notorious for his use of racial slurs. He rose out of the Democrat Party's segregationist wing in the 1960's as governor of South Carolina. While in office as governor, Hollings personally led the opposition to lunch counter integration in his state. The New York Times reported on March 17, 1960 that then-governor Hollings "warned today that South Carolina would not permit 'explosive' manifestations in connection with Negro demands for lunch-counter services." According to the article, Hollings gave a speech in which he "challenged President Eisenhower's contention that minorities had the right to engage in certain types of demonstrations" against segregation. In the speech Hollings described the Republican president as "confused" and asserted that Eisenhower had done "great damage to peace and good order" by supporting the rights of minorities to protest segregation at the lunch counters.

Governor Hollings' support for segregation continued throughout his term and included his attendance at a July 23, 1961 meeting of segregationist Democrats to organize their opposition to the civil rights movement. Hollings was one of four governors in attendance, all of them Democrats. The others included rabid segregationists Orval Faubus of Arkansas and Ross Barnett of Mississippi. The New York Times reported on the meeting, noting that among the strategies discussed were using the segregationist White Citizens Council organization to mobilize political opposition to desegregation.

In more recent years Hollings, a senior Democrat senator, has made disparaging racial remarks and slurs against minorities. Senator Hollings, who was a contender for his party's presidential nomination in 1984, blamed his defeat in the primaries by using a racial slur against Hispanics. After losing the Iowa Straw Poll, Hollings stated "You had wetbacks from California that came in here for Cranston," referring to one of his opponents, Alan Cranston. A few years later Hollings reportedly used the slur "darkies" to derogatorily refer to blacks. He also once disparagingly referred to the Rainbow PUSH Coalition as the "Blackbow Coalition," and called former Senator Howard Metzenbaum, who is Jewish, "the Senator from B'nai B'rith." Hollings gained international criticism for his remarks about the African Delegation to the 1993 Geneva GATT conference, where he crudely remarked "you'd find these potentates from down in Africa, you know, rather than eating each other, they'd just come up and get a good square meal in Geneva." Hollings was also the Governor of South Carolina who raised the confederate flag over the state capitol in the early 1960's in what was considered at the time to be an act of defiance to civil rights. The press ignored Hollings and his role in the flag issue at the same time the political correctness police were smearing George W. Bush during his campaign after Bush correctly remarked that the flag was a state issue to be decided upon by South Carolina and not the national government.

Jesse Jackson: Jackson was the featured prime time speaker at the 2000 Democrat Convention. Jackson has a history of using anti-Semitic slurs and derogatorily calling New York City “Hymietown.” Jackson, a prominent self-proclaimed "civil rights leader," is himself guilty of the same bigotry he dishonestly purports to oppose.

Dan Rather: Rather, the well-known television anchor for CBS is also a liberal Democrat who has spoken at fundraisers for the Democrat party in the past. The notoriously left wing reporter appeared on the Don Imus radio show on July 19, 2001 where he was interviewed about his long term refusal to cover the Gary Condit (D-CA) scandal involving an affair with a missing intern despite the scandal's national prominence. Rather noted on the air that CBS had basically forced him to cover the story that was on every other network and on the front page of all the major newspapers, all this after Rather avoided it for months. Rather stated on the air, referring to CBS, that "they got the Buckwheats" and made him cover the Condit scandal. The term "Buckwheat" is considered an offensive racial stereotype that stems from an easily frightened black character named "Buckwheat" on the Little Rascals comedies. It is widely regarded as a racial epithet and has long been condemned as an offensive stereotype by several civil rights organizations. In several past incidents (see here and here) the use of the epithet "Buckwheat" has received condemnation by the NAACP, Al Sharpton and other left wing organizations. These left wing organizations and personalities have demanded that other media personalities be fired over using the epithet, and even staged a protest at a school over the mere allegation that the racist stereotype had been used by a teacher. Yet these same liberal groups have, to date, remained completely silent now that one of their own, Dan Rather is guilty of using the same offensive racial stereotype they have condemned elsewhere on a national radio show. It's just more proof of how the left wingers who cry the loudest with accusations of racism against others turn a blind eye when somebody of their own left wing ideology is the undeniable culprit of a blatantly racist act or statement!

Cragg Hines: Hines is one of the most rabidly partisan DC based Democrat editorial columnists to work for a major newspaper, and he makes no attempts to hide it. To Hines, pro-lifers are "Neanderthals," as is often the case with those who differ in opinion with him. Ironically, Hines, a columnist who regularly touts himself as an enlightened progressive, is also known for racial remarks and religious intolerance. He attacked Senator Jesse Helms in an August 26, 2001 editorial with not only the usual liberal name calling, but also with a racial epithet. Hines used the racial slur "cracker" to attack Helms. He used the epithet not only within the article's text, but he even included it in the piece's title. In a sense of heavy irony, Hines' article accused Helms of bigotry for, among other things, opposing liberal policies like affirmative action. He didn't seem to object to himself for his own bigoted language in the same article. Hines has also drawn heavy criticism from Catholics including a letter to the editor from the former President of the U.S. Catholic Bishop's Conference for his seemingly agenda-driven criticisms of Catholicism and its religious leaders, often based on little or no historical evidence, which he has expressed in numerous editorial columns.

Al Sharpton: Sharpton, a perennial Democrat candidate and one of the rumored candidates for the Democrat's 2004 presidential nomination, has a notorious racist past. Sharpton was a central figure who fanned the 1991 Crown Heights race riot, where a mob shouting anti-sematic slurs murdered an innocent Jewish man. Sharpton also incited a 1995 protest of a Jewish owned store in Harlem where protesters used several anti-sematic slurs. During the protests, a Sharpton lieutenant called the store's owner a "bloodsucker" and declared intent to "loot the Jews." A member of the protest mob later set fire to the store, resulting in the death of seven.

Representative Dick Gephardt, D-MO: Gephardt, the former Democrat Minority Leader in the U.S. House of Representatives, gave several speeches to a St. Louis area hate group during his early years as a representative. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Gephardt spoke before the Metro South Citizens Council, a now defunct white supremacist organization, during his early years as a congressman. Newsmax.com further reported that Gephardt had openly asked the group for an endorsement of his candidacy during one of his many visits with the organization. Gephardt has long avoided questions about his past affiliation with this group.

Andrew Cuomo: Cuomo, Bill Clinton's former Housing Secretary and a prominent Democrat political player in New York, was tape recorded using racially inflammatory rhetoric to build opposition to a potential Democrat primary opponent while speaking to a Democrat group. Cuomo stated that voting for his rival for the New York Democrat gubernatorial nomination Carl McCall, who is black, would create a "racial contract" between Black and Hispanic Democrats”and that can't happen." Upon initial reports, Cuomo denied the statement but later a tape recording surfaced. Cuomo later dropped out of the race for governor (source).

Lee P. Brown: Brown, Bill Clinton's former drug czar and Democrat mayor of Houston, engaged in racist campaigning designed to suppress Hispanic voter turnout during his 2001 reelection bid. Brown faced challenger Orlando Sanchez, a Hispanic Republican who drew heavy support from the Hispanic community during the general election. Two weeks prior to the runoff, Brown's campaign printed racist signs designed to intimidate Hispanic voters. The signs featured a photograph of Sanchez and the words "Anti-Hispanic." The signs drew harsh criticism from Hispanic leaders as their message was designed to intimidate and confuse Hispanic voters. Around the same time the signs were being used, Brown supporter and city councilman Carol Alvarado made a series of racially charged attacks on Sanchez, implying a desire to see the suppression of Hispanic voter turnout in the runoff. Brown staffers also went on record claiming that Sanchez was not a true Hispanic. The racist anti-Hispanic undertones of Brown's reelection bid were so great that liberal Democrat city councilman John Castillo, himself Hispanic, retracted his endorsement of Brown in disgust and became a Sanchez supporter in the final week of the campaign. Following the harsh condemnation of the racist signs and tactics, Brown purported that his campaign was removing them even though many still lingered around Houston up until the election. When Election Day came along, Brown placed more of the racist signs at polling places, despite his claim to have stopped using them. The large campaign billboard style Election Day signs featured, in Spanish, the word "Danger!" on them followed by Sanchez's name with a large red circle and slash through it. The signs identified the Brown campaign as their owner on the bottom. Brown's racially charged reelection effort barely squeaked by Sanchez on election day, winning 51% to 49% following a series of racially motivated advertisements in which the Brown campaign appealed to the fear of black voters by invoking images of the gruesome lynching death of James Byrd, Jr. and by attempting to pit them against Hispanics. While Brown had the audacity to declare himself a mayor for all people and all ethnicities at his victory party, many in Houston fear the racial wounds inflicted by his campaign will take years to heal.

Mary Frances Berry: Berry is the Democrat chair of the US Commission on Civil Rights (USCCR). She purports herself to be an "independent" in her political affiliation in order to hold her job on the civil rights commission where partisan membership may not exceed 4 for either party, but is in fact a dedicated liberal Democrat who openly supported Al Gore for president and has given a total of $20,000 in personal contributions to the Democrat Party, Al Gore for President, and other Democrat candidates over the last decade. Berry is an open racist who is affiliated with the far-left Pacifica radio network, a group with ties to Black Nationalist causes. Berry once stated "Civil rights laws were not passed to protect the rights of white men and do not apply to them," indicating that she believes the USCCR should only look out for civil rights violations against persons of certain select skin colors.

Billy McKinney: Former Democrat State Representative Billy McKinney of Georgia, who is also the father of former Democrat congresswoman Cynthia McKinney of the same state. During his daughter's failed 2002 reelection bid, McKinney appeared on television where he blamed his daughter's difficulties on a Jewish conspiracy. McKinney unleashed a string of anti-Semitic sentiments, stating "This is all about the Jews" and spelling out "J-E-W-S." McKinney lost his own seat in a runoff a few weeks later.

The Democrat Party and the Ku Klux Klan: Aside from the multiple Klan members who have served in elected capacity within the high ranks of the Democrat Party, the political party itself has a lengthy but often overlooked history of involvement with the Ku Klux Klan. Though it has been all but forgotten by the media, the Democrat National Convention of 1924 was host to one of the largest Klan gatherings in American history. Dubbed the "Klan bake convention" at the time, the 1924 Democrat National Convention in New York was dominated by a platform dispute surrounding the Ku Klux Klan. A minority of the delegates to the convention attempted to condemn the hate group in the party's platform, but found their proposal shot down by Klan supporters within the party. As delegates inside the convention voted in the Klan's favor, the Klan itself mobilized a celebratory rally outside. On July 4, 1924 one of the largest Klan gatherings ever occurred outside the convention on a field in nearby New Jersey. The event was marked by speakers spewing racial hatred, celebrations of their platform victory in the Democrat Convention, and ended in a cross burning.

II. Democrat opposition to the Civil Rights Movement:

A little known fact of history involves the heavy opposition to the civil rights movement by several prominent Democrats. Similar historical neglect is given to the important role Republicans played in supporting the civil rights movement. A calculation of 26 major civil rights votes from 1933 through the 1960's civil rights era shows that Republicans favored civil rights in approximately 96% of the votes, whereas the Democrats opposed them in 80% of the votes! These facts are often intentionally overlooked by the left wing Democrats for obvious reasons. In some cases, the Democrats have told flat out lies about their shameful record during the civil rights movement.

Democrat Senators organized the record Senate filibuster of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Included among the organizers were several prominent and well known liberal Democrat standard bearers including:

- Robert Byrd, current senator from West Virginia
- J. William Fulbright, Arkansas senator and political mentor of Bill Clinton
- Albert Gore Sr., Tennessee senator, father and political mentor of Al Gore. Gore Jr. has been known to lie about his father's opposition to the Civil Rights Act.
- Sam Ervin, North Carolina senator of Watergate hearings fame
- Richard Russell, famed Georgia senator and later President Pro Tempore

The complete list of the 21 Democrats who opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 includes Senators:

- Hill and Sparkman of Alabama
- Fulbright and McClellan of Arkansas
- Holland and Smathers of Florida
- Russell and Talmadge of Georgia
- Ellender and Long of Louisiana
- Eastland and Stennis of Mississippi
- Ervin and Jordan of North Carolina
- Johnston and Thurmond of South Carolina
- Gore Sr. and Walters of Tennessee
- H. Byrd and Robertson of Virginia
- R. Byrd of West Virginia

Democrat opposition to the Civil Rights Act was substantial enough to literally split the party in two. A whopping 40% of the House Democrats VOTED AGAINST the Civil Rights Act, while 80% of Republicans SUPPORTED it. Republican support in the Senate was even higher. Similar trends occurred with the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which was supported by 82% of House Republicans and 94% of Senate Republicans. The same Democrat standard bearers took their normal racists stances, this time with Senator Fulbright leading the opposition effort.

It took the hard work of Republican Senate Minority Leader Everett Dirksen and Republican Whip Thomas Kuchel to pass the Civil Rights Act (Dirksen was presented a civil rights accomplishment award for the year by the head of the NAACP in recognition of his efforts). Upon breaking the Democrat filibuster of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Republican Dirksen took to the Senate floor and exclaimed "The time has come for equality of opportunity in sharing in government, in education, and in employment. It will not be stayed or denied. It is here!" (Full text of speech). Sadly, Democrats and revisionist historians have all but forgotten (and intentionally so) that it was Republican Dirksen, not the divided Democrats, who made the Civil Rights Act a reality. Dirksen also broke the Democrat filibuster of the 1957 Civil Rights Act that was signed by Republican President Eisenhower.

Outside of Congress, the three most notorious opponents of school integration were all Democrats:
- Orval Faubus, Democrat Governor of Arkansas and one of Bill Clinton's political heroes
- George Wallace, Democrat Governor of Alabama
- Lester Maddox, Democrat Governor of Georgia

The most famous of the school desegregation standoffs involved Governor Faubus. Democrat Faubus used police and state forces to block the integration of a high school in Little Rock, Arkansas. The standoff was settled and the school was integrated only after the intervention of Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Even the Democrat Party organization resisted integration and refused to allow minority participation for decades. Exclusion of minorities was the general rule of the Democrat Party of many states for decades, especially in Texas. This racist policy reached its peak under the New Deal in the southern and western states, often known as the New Deal Coalition region of FDR. The Supreme Court in Nixon v. Herndon declared the practice of "white primaries" unconstitutional in 1927 after states had passed laws barring Blacks from participating in Democrat primaries. But the Democrat Parties did not yield to the Court’s order. After Nixon v. Herndon, Democrats simply made rules within the party's individual executive committees to bar minorities from participating, which were struck down in Nixon v. Condon in 1932. The Democrats, in typical racist fashion, responded by using state parties to pass rules barring blacks from participation. This decision was upheld in Grovey v. Townsend, which was not overturned until 1944 by Smith v. Allwright. The Texas Democrats responded with their usual ploys and turned to what was known as the "Jaybird system" which used private Democrat clubs to hold white-only votes on a slate of candidates, which were then transferred to the Democrat party itself and put on their primary ballot as the only choices. Terry v. Adams overturned the Jaybird system, prompting the Democrats to institute blocks of unit rule voting procedures as well as the infamous literacy tests and other Jim Crow regulations to specifically block minorities from participating in their primaries. In the end, it took 4 direct Supreme Court orders to end the Democrat's "white primary" system, and after that it took countless additional orders, several acts of Congress, and a constitutional amendment to tear down the Jim Crow codes that preserved the Democrat's white primary for decades beyond the final Supreme Court order ruling it officially unconstitutional.

Hispanics in South Texas were treated especially poorly by the Democrat Party, which relied heavily on a system of political bosses to coerce and intimidate Hispanics into voting for Democrat primary candidates of choice. Though coercion is illegal, this system, known as the Patron system, is still in use to this day by local Democrat parties in some heavy Hispanic communities of the southwest.

The next time Democrats take to the national airwaves to dishonestly accuse Republicans of racial hatred, remember who the historical record up until this very day points to as the real bigots: The Democrat Party. In all possible ways, the Democrat Party is built around the pillars of ultra-leftists, many of whom are known participants in racism and/or affiliates of racist hate groups. Consider the Democrat Party of today's heroes and leaders:

- Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Democrat icon and orchestrator of Japanese Internment
- Ex-House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt, former affiliate of a St. Louis area racist group
- Ex-Senate President Pro Tempore Robert Byrd, former Ku Klux Klansman known for making bigoted slurs on national television
- Rev. Jesse Jackson, Democrat keynote speaker and race hustler known for making anti-Semitic slurs
- Rev. Al Sharpton, Democrat activist and perennial candidate and race hustler known inciting anti-Semitic violence in New York City
- Sen. Ernest Hollings, leading Democrat Senator known for use of racial slurs against several minority groups
- Lee P. Brown, former Clinton cabinet official and Democrat mayor of Houston who won reelection using racial intimidation against Hispanic voters
- Andrew Cuomo, former Clinton cabinet official and Democrat candidate for NY Governor who made racist statements about a black opponent.
- Dan Rather, Democrat CBS news anchor and editorialist known for using anti-black racial epithets on a national radio broadcast
- Donna Brazile, former Gore campaign manager known for making anti-white racial attacks. Brazile has also worked for Jackson, Gephardt, and Michael Dukakis

The simple truth is that the Democrat Party's history during this century is one closely aligned to bigotry in a record stemming largely out of the liberal New Deal era up until the modern day. Bigots are at the center of the Democrat party's current leadership and role models. And in a striking display of hypocrisy, many of the same Democrats who dishonestly shout accusations of "bigotry" at conservatives are practicing bigots of the most disgusting and disreputable kind themselves.

ALLEGED MAYORAL VOTER FRAUD COMMITTED IN MOUNT VERNON

Sources have told Mount Vernon Exposed that serious voter fraud was committed on behalf on a specific candidate running for Mayoral office in Mount Vernon. Mount Vernon Exposed was also told that the United States Department of Justice and the F.B.I. was notified of the alleged crimes committed against the citizens of Mount Vernon.

According to a voter, Mount Vernon Exposed was told that the alleged voter crimes were committed on the Southside of Mount Vernon, specifically buildings where voter machines were placed where voters live in that specific building. According to an undercover worker posing as a worker for the Mayoral candidate that was involved in the voting scam, workers were told that this specific voter candidate must win “by any means necessary”. Workers were told to say that they were volunteers if they were asked if they were paid for their services because the specific Mayoral candidate was showing a negative balance in their campaign account with the Board of Elections.

“I want everyone in the City of Mount Vernon to know that the 2011 Mayoral elections were rigged” said the campaign worker. “If you check the voter machines in the projects and the building across from Pathmark, you will see what the deal is” said the campaign worker. “I’m not going to be nobody’s bitch in jail” continued the campaign worker when approached by the staff of Mount Vernon Exposed.

Based on the foregoing, Mount Vernon voters deserve to know the truth about the 2011 Mayoral election. No Mayoral candidate should concede until every vote, signature, and voter is subpoenaed and interviewed. “We think we are on to something here” said one voter. If need be, I will spend any amount deemed necessary to get to the truth. The truth needs no defense”.

MAYOR YOUNG CANDIDATE RICHARD THOMAS CHEATS MOUNT VERNON TAXPAYERS

Over the past few weeks Mayor Young and his handpicked slate of puppets have been causing divide and confusion amongst Mount Vernon voters by scaring them with the threat of a Tea Party takeover. It is evident that the Mayor Young and his slate for City Council Richard Thomas and Debra Reynolds have no clue as to run the City of Mount Vernon. All three candidates lack any platform and any proposal from the three involves raising taxes on already cash strapped Mount Vernon taxpayers.

Richard Thomas must come clean with voters and explain to them that he is part of the problem and not part of the solution. As a city councilman, if elected, Mr. Thomas will be responsible for making the laws in the City of Mount Vernon. However, Mr. Thomas and his mentor Mayor Young have shown complete disregard for the laws of Mount Vernon. Mr. Thomas and Mayor Young have willingly and knowingly violated the ordinance of placing signs on public property.

Mr. Thomas’ high handed behavior didn’t end there. Mr. Thomas illegally constructed a sign at his campaign headquarters at 107 South 4^th Avenue without the required permits and approvals from the Department of Buildings and cheated Mount Vernon taxpayers out of much needed revenue. Comptroller and Mayoral candidate Maureen Walker is the only candidate that followed the law regarding signs. The Commissioner of Buildings even went so far as to require Mrs. Walker to hire an architect to submit plans regarding the signs at her campaign headquarters. Mr. Thomas’ way of thinking is quite dangerous for Mount Vernon as he already thinks he is above the law.

With less than 24 hours until polls open, voters must vote NO to the entire team of Mayor Young. Can you imagine another 4 years of Mayor Young, Richard Thomas, and Debra Reynolds?

Mount Vernon Exposed yesterday released evidence implicating Mayor Young in a criminal bid rigging scandal involving former Commissioner of Buildings Ralph Tedesco and Water Commissioner Brian Bochow. Mayor Young’s high handed criminal behavior doesn’t end there.

It was standard operating procedure of the Young administration to funnel millions of taxpayer dollars to politically connected cronies. Because of Mayor Young unwisely using taxpayer monies for his own selfish and personal gain, property values are down and violent crime including murders have reached historic levels in the City of Mount Vernon. The City of Mount Vernon is just moments away from becoming like the City of Detroit, where one can roam and see skyscrapers abandoned and boarded up.

Today, we will reveal another bid rigging scandal and expose more incompetence on the part of our elected officials. The City Council is the eyes and ears of the people. All ordinances, legislation, and permission to enter into contracts are approved or denied by the City Council.

Another bid rigging scandal that we will bring to light involves replacing the dirt of the infields at Brush Park. The bid was designed so that one company would benefit from the lucrative contract at Brush Park. Here is how the caper went down…..


Corrupt DPW Commissioner Terrence Horton

On orders from Mayor Clinton Young, DPW Commissioner Terrence Horton and Assistant Corporation Counsel Joana Aggrey drafted up bid specifications that would only benefit the company that won the winning bid, Custom Clay, a company based in Syosset, Long Island. Joana Aggrey is the wife of John Boykin, a candidate for City Council, and former assistant to Mayor Young. Boykin was fired for threatening a critic of Young’s administration. Mayor Young constantly states that he wants to promote Mount Vernon based businesses but he has failed to maintain his promises to the people of Mount Vernon.

The bid specifications stated that all parties interested in bidding on the project had to buy the clay (infield dirt) from Custom Clay. When the prospective bidders called Custom Clay for price quotes, they were all given a different price by Custom Clay. This is evident in the final bids that were submitted to the City of Mount Vernon. The highest bid was submitted by Paladino Concrete Solutions at $376,650. Paladino Concrete Solutions is a Mount Vernon based company. The second lowest bid came in at $235,325 and was submitted by Derosa Tennis Contracting, a Mamaroneck based business. And finally the winning bid came in at $148, 400 and was submitted by Custom Clay, the company named in the bid specifications that all bidders had to get their supply from. Conflict of interest? Not in the mind of Mayor Young and his criminal syndicate.

How is it that the winning bid was almost $100K lower that the second lowest bid? Where was the oversight by the City Council, the governing body charged with the duty of vetting bids and contracts? According to the New York State Board of Elections, Mayor Young received two campaign contributions from Custom Clay. Friends of Mayor Young reported a campaign contribution of $1,300 on May 12, 2010 and another contribution of $1,000 on November 1, 2010. Sounds like a kickback doesn’t it?

Not every elected official was asleep at the wheel. The Comptroller’s office caught wind of this possible criminal activity and sent a letter to DPW Commissioner Terrence Horton letting him know that an audit was under way. DPW Commissioner Terrence Horton simply ignored three letters sent to him by 1^st Deputy Comptroller Thomas Rajala requesting documentation of Mayor Young and DPW Commissioner Horton’s alleged criminal activity. At press time, the status of the audit could not be determined.

Mount Vernon Exposed obtained these documents through the New York State Freedom of Information Law after an employee in the City of Mount Vernon alerted Mount Vernon Exposed to the Custom Clay scandal. Mount Vernon voters must dissect the clergy’s endorsement of Mayor Young. Why would black pastors all of whom have churches on the south side of Mount Vernon endorse a Mayor who has neglected the south side of Mount Vernon? Are these pastors so blind that they cannot see the despair and blight that exists just steps away from their churches? Can they not see the burned out and boarded up homes that appear on every block on the south side? Now that you have seen the video it is not hard to tell that there are serious problems in the City of Mount Vernon. The City Charter empowers the Department of Buildings to demolish buildings that are hazards to the community. The Department of Building under the direction of Mayor Young has been a cesspool of corruption. Only those contractors that allow Mayor Young to participate in the lucrative demolition contracts are awarded jobs. All of these scams occur while the City of Mount Vernon taxpayers continue to see their property values decline.

In the May 2010 edition of the Westchester Guardian it was explicitly detailed how Mayor Young and his gang of bandits looted the City of Mount Vernon of hundreds of thousands of dollars. It is common knowledge that Mayor Young has knowingly and willingly pillaged the city coffers. Mayor Young seeks to continue his criminal enterprise by receiving an illegal endorsement from many black pastors in Mount Vernon on Monday September 5, 2011 at the scene of Mayor Young’s criminal activity, City Hall. Such an endorsement is in violation of the law. Unless an organization such as the black pastors have a special tax designation with the I.R.S, it cannot participate in political activity.

Pastor Franklyn Richardson has been injecting himself into politics in Mount Vernon for over 20 years. As a result of his deal making blacks are worse now than they were when he first entered politics. Please don’t see this as a personal attack on Pastor Richardson or Grace Baptist church or any of the black pastors in Mount Vernon, but as an eye opener to the root cause analysis of the problems plaguing the city of Mount Vernon.

Mount Vernon has a very diverse population with the majority of the population being African American. Mount Vernon is four square miles. There are over 450 churches with 87% of them being on the South Side of Mount Vernon. With so many churches in the community a person visiting Mount Vernon for the first time would think that Mount Vernon is a very safe and holy city but that is not the case. It is the exact opposite. The City of Mount Vernon is a municipal mess of corruption. There are murders and shootings every other day. There was just a murder the other day on Saturday morning. The Journal News reported it as a stabbing, but according to a homeowner that lives on the street where the murdered occurred, Mount Vernon Exposed was told that man had his throat cut and his hands cut off.

In times of crisis people turn to their government leaders and pastors for direction. If those two institutions are corrupt, how do think that will affect the community? The community would become lawless and broken. Pastor Richardson has no right to support any candidate in Mount Vernon. He does not live or vote in Mount Vernon. His followers mainly come from out of town. His church is simply a business taken off of the tax rolls that adds no significant value to the black community. In fact, his institution and its policies have destroyed the quality of life in the black community in Mount Vernon. When Pastor Richardson starts building tax paying projects and moves to and votes in Mount Vernon, then he can have a voice in government. How many black people have you seen working on any project sponsored and/or built by Pastor Richardson and/or Grace Baptist Church?

In the end, Pastor Richardson and the endorsement of the black pastor’s won’t mean a thing. People are far more intelligent and have come to the conclusion that they have been bamboozled and hoodwinked for years by the above mentioned institutions. Mayor Clinton Young has been a failure of a mayor for the City of Mount Vernon. He was not fit to lead and should have never been elected. But that does not mean going back in time either. We cannot change the past but only look forward to a new day.

The black community in Mount Vernon must pay attention to nonprofit groups endorsing the Mayoral candidates. Such organizations should have a registered Political Action Committee with the New York State Board of Elections unless they are registered with the I.R.S as a 501(c) 4 nonprofit. The public has a right to know who is funding these black pastor’s agenda. Failure to register gives an impression that the pastors are being paid or promised lucrative development deals by the candidates for their endorsement. One must ask the question why are only the black pastors endorsing candidates? No other faith based group has endorsed any candidate.

It is fact that inference from the black pastor group has proved deadly for the black community. Hundreds of young black men have murdered on the streets of Mount Vernon because of their actions, personal agendas, and political maneuvering. For years the black pastors were telling the black community that the school board was no good and that the members were racist and failing our kids. So a group got together led by Pastor Richardson and backed handpicked candidates that would further their agenda. The black pastors were not interested in improving the schools but taking control of a budget, that at the time was $120 Million. Today the budget is over $200 Million. Where did the $80 Million go? Today, the schools are no longer in the hands of the black pastors. People have finally started to wake up.

Children in the black community now have nowhere to go and now they roam the streets playing laser tag with one another, but the only thing is that they are playing with real guns with real bullets. Voters, especially in the black community must question these black pastors and ask them what they stand to gain from endorsing Mayor Clinton Young. Mayor Clinton Young has been caught red handed stealing from the taxpayers by participating in a bid rigging scandal. Pastor Richardson is fully aware of Mayor Young’s criminal and corrupt deal making. Why would any religious group support a candidate involved in such criminality? The mind is left to imagine that the religious group is indeed corrupt themselves and up to no good.

2 more individuals that have added no significant value to the Mount Vernon political system and have destroyed the black community are Ronald Deters, husband of Corporation Counsel Loretta Hottinger and Michael Justino, husband of former Councilwoman Eileen Justino. These two individuals employ tactics used by Hitler and the KKK. Just last year when Family Court Judge Bill Edwards was running for re-election these two individuals sent letters to all of the Democratic Committee Chairperson throughout the County with a copy of his wife’s blog saying not to vote to endorse him. They are also the authors of various racist literature currently being distributed throughout the black community. They also maintain and control a group that calls themselves Concerned Dems of Mount Vernon.

These two individuals conspired with the Fleetwood Neighborhood Association and the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce to rig the recently held candidate’s debate with loaded questions. Their plan backfired. Their handpicked candidate, Mayor Clinton Young, was the only candidate booed by the crowd. It was crystal clear that Mr. Detres and Mr. Justino never controlled any voting black in Fleetwood.

Mayor Young has proven that he is the king of conflicts of interests and corruption and that no law or person is going to stop him in his quest to line his pockets with taxpayer dollars. Mayor Young must be thrown out office. Returning former Mayor Ernest Davis to office isn’t the solution either.

On Thursday, August 18^th, 2011, a forum was held at St. Peter’s and Paul Church sponsored by The Fleetwood Neighborhood Association and The Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce. The one sided debate was moderated by staunch supporters of Mayor Clinton Young. It was clear that the questions were loaded by the organizations that sponsored the event. The forum was moderated by Frank Fraley, a convicted felon and President of the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce and Susan Granata, President of the Fleetwood Neighborhood Association. Several board members of the Fleetwood Neighborhood Association are also district leaders in the Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee that voted in support of Mayor Young at nominating convention held in May. How’s that for a conflict of interest?

Now we fast forward to the next Mayoral debate to be held on August 24, 2011 at the Wartburg. The forum is being sponsored by another crony of Mayor Clinton Young, Derrickson Lawrence. Derrickson Lawrence is also a district leader in the Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee that voted for Mayor Young at the nominating convention held in May. Mr. Lawrence has been paving the way to begin his political career for quite some time now. Mr. Lawrence ran for Mayor against Ernie Davis and was handily defeated. As a loyal minion of Mayor Young, Mr. Lawrence was rewarded some favors.

Derrick Lawrence "No Bid Contract"

Mr. Lawrence is the Chairman of the Westchester County Homeowners Coalition, Chairman of the Westchester County Crime stoppers, and was recently appointed by Westchester County Legislator Lyndon Williams to the Westchester County Charter Revision Committee. Mr. Lawrence is also the CEO, of Marketview, a company that was just awarded a no-bid contract to install an online complaints system through the Department of Public Works. Mayor Young sure knows how to take care of his buddies.

If Mr. Lawrence was truly committed to reducing crime, perhaps he should focus on his position as Chairman of the Westchester County Crime stoppers. He need not look any further than city hall, if he was genuinely interested in catching criminals. But then again Mr. Lawrence is part of the same no-bid contract awarding systems that has seen millions of dollars fly out of the windows of city hall into the pockets of political hacks and thieves. Mr. Lawrence has been awfully silent on the recent crime wave in the City of Mount Vernon. Where are the crime stoppers?

Mount Vernon Exposed caught up with Mr. Lawrence at the Mayoral debate on Thursday, August 18^th, 2011 to ask him about the no-bid contract. When asked about the contract he received, Mr. Lawrence appeared puzzled and dazed as to why we were inquiring about his contract with the City of Mount Vernon. We then asked him the dollar amount of the contract and Mr. Lawrence told one of our reporters that the amount of the contract was “confidential”. We then informed Mr. Lawrence that any expenditure of public monies is not confidential and that we could easily obtain the information we were seeking though a Freedom of Information Law request. Mr. Lawrence then quickly told the reporter that he was paid $1500.00 to install the software by the City of Mount Vernon.

So voters beware, the Mayoral debate scheduled for Wednesday, August 24, 2011 will be rigged with loaded questions by Derrickson Lawrence. All candidates for Mayor should boycott this biased event. Any forum for public office should be held by non-partisan groups such as The League of Woman voters where members of the audience will be able to ask the candidates questions.

Mayor Ernest D. Davis was elected to office in 1995. From the onset, Mayor Davis had a plan to line his pockets with taxpayer dollars and kickbacks from contractors funneled through Grace Baptist. Unknown too many, a special relationship existed between Pastor W. Franklyn Richardson, Senior Pastor of Grace Baptist Church and Mayor Ernest Davis. Folks close to these two individuals tell tales of money laundering, extortion, and extensive amounts of cash being passed under the table. Most of the development that occurred while Davis was Mayor was in the form of low income and senior housing that was sponsored by Pastor Rev. Richardson and Grace Baptist Church.

Mayor Davis began his administration as a criminal enterprise in 1995 and he ended it as a criminal enterprise in 2007. Mayor Davis saw three key people in his administration get indicted and convicted by a federal grand jury for corruption. Now Mayor Davis is seeking to return to office to continue his criminal enterprise. Mayor Davis wants the people of the great City of Mount Vernon to believe that the raid on City Hall by the F.B.I was a planned conspiracy. Mayor Davis is still apparently high on whatever he likes to smoke in his spare time.

POVERTY PIMP PASTOR RICHARDSON

Each week until Primary day, we will focus on one development project in Mount Vernon constructed during Davis’ administration. The first project we will take a look at is called the Grace House, a 100 unit section 8 elderly project located at 229 South 7^th Avenue. Construction on this project began in 1997. This was one of Davis’ first projects of his administration and the beginning of his criminal enterprise.

§ 24-4 of The City Charter of Mount Vernon States,

§ 24-3. Prohibited activities and transactions.

A. No city officer or employee shall:

(1) Directly or indirectly solicit any gift; or accept or receive any gift, whether in the form of money, services, loan, travel, entertainment, hospitality, thing or promise or any other form, under circumstances in which it could reasonably be inferred that the gift was intended to influence him or could reasonably be expected to influence him in the performance of his official duties or was intended as a reward for any official action on his part.

(2) Disclose confidential information acquired by him in the course of his official duties to unauthorized persons or use such information to further his personal interest.

(3) Invest or hold any investment directly or indirectly in any financial, business, commercial or other private transaction which creates a conflict with his official duties.

(4) Engage in, solicit, negotiate for or promise to accept private employment or render services for private interests when such employment or service creates a conflict with or impairs the proper discharge of his official duties.

(5) After the termination of service or employment with such municipality, appear before any board or agency of the City of Mount Vernon in relation to any case, proceeding or application in which he personally participated during the period of his service or employment or which was under his active consideration.

(6) Perform any professional services for others, for compensation, in relation to any proceeding, petition or hearing before any city agency as herein defined.

(7) Represent any person, firm or corporation being sued by the City of Mount Vernon in the defense of such suit, or represent or appear for any person, firm or corporation filing a claim against or prosecuting a legal action or proceeding against the City of Mount Vernon, in the filing of such claim or the prosecution of such action or proceeding.

(8) Appear for or represent any person, firm or corporation in an action involving the prosecution of such person, firm or corporation for violation of any city ordinances or codes.

(9) Take part in or vote or pass upon any matter before him or any board or commission of which he is a member, in which matter he has any direct or indirect pecuniary interest.

GRACE HOUSE

Mayor Davis was the architect for the Grace House project located at 229 South 7^th Avenue. It is clear that Davis’ actions were against the law. Perhaps this is a matter that the United States Attorney should look into. The plaque in the lobby of the building has Davis’ name clearly engraved in it. Don’t stop believing’, Mayor Davis’ is nothing more than a shakedown artist looking to get paid.
