I discovered these unusual tracks in the Pine Creek Valley in north-central Pennsylvania near Ramsey Village within the Camp Knine Boy Scout area on January, 27th 2019.

A 3-year-old boy who went missing earlier this week told his family that he “hung out in the woods with a bear" for two days. Curiously, there have been similar stories throughout history of large and hairy animals taking care of children while they were lost in the wilderness. There appears to be a caring nature to such rare and wild animals - the "bear" facts may be more in line with mysterious creature comforts. On tonight's show, Clyde Lewis talks with cryptozoologist, Ken Gerhard about BEAR FACTS - AND OTHER CREATURE COMFORTS.

CROCK-POT ROOT BEER MOONSHINE +

Ingredients

10 Cups Water

2 1/2 Cups Granulated Sugar

1/2 Cup Brown Sugar Packed

1 Tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract

4 Tablespoons Root Beer Extract

1 Liter Everclear Grain Alcohol Or Vodka

Add water, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and pure vanilla extract to a 4 quart or larger slow cooker.

Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

Turn off or unplug the slow cooker and stir in the root beer extract. Allow the liquid to cool completely and then mix in the Everclear or vodka.

Ladle mixture into clean canning jars with lids and rings in a cool dark place. Drink responsibly!

VIDEOS EXPLAINING EASY WAYS TO MAKE BREAD IN A SURVIVAL SITUATION

How to bake bread in a primitive oven built out of rocks. Cooking meat over a campfire and making the most amazing steak & gravy sandwiches.

Bread Recipe
½ lb of all-purpose flour
½ lb of bread flour
1.5 tablespoons of salt
½ oz of yeast
2 tablespoons of sugar
A pint of warm with no chlorine or fluoride (it kills the yeast).
Add the flour and salt and mix together
Then make a volcano in the flour pile. Add yeast and sugar and a small amount of warm water. Mix with your finger and let sit for 5 minutes+. The slowly add more water and mix the flour. Water needs to be warm or room temp, but not cold or hot.
Add water until the dough is slightly sticky and gets on your hands. Knead the dough aggressively for 8 to 10 minutes or until it is no longer sticky and can be stretched until it is almost see-through.
Roll into a ball and let sit for 45 minutes or until the ball doubles in volume. (this depends a lot on the temperature of dough)
Knock the big air bubbles out of the dough but kneading it a few times and then cut into loaf sized balls. Let it prove for another 45 minutes or until it doubles in volume again. Coat in flour put on the rock.
The oven should be between 400 to 500 F. Bake until golden brown. Rotate loaf in the oven if necessary. It should take between 10 to 30 minutes depending on temperature.
Let the hot loaf sit until moderately warm to the touch and then slice and serve.

Rump Roast Recipe
Put rump roast on spit and coat in liberal amounts of Montreal Steak Seasoning. Stick over fire at a height that is about 350F and rotates as needed. Slice off pieces as the cook and continue to roast the remaining meat. Takes 2 to 5 hours depending on the heat.

Sausage Gravy
Cook ½ lb of breakfast sausage in the skillet, at a pinch of salt, 2 or more tablespoons of black pepper, a ¼ a cup of all-purpose flour and then add several cups of heavy whipping cream (can also use whole milk). Adjust quantities to taste and thickness desired. It takes about 5 minutes.

A Michigan sheriff's department captured some amazing and rather rare footage of an owl swimming in a lake. The odd scene reportedly took place early Monday morning at Lake St. Clair and was spotted by officers from the marine division of the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. Fortunately, they managed to film the wondrous sight and subsequently shared it on their Facebook account.

Video of a woman petting a wild bull elk in Estes Park is stirring anger among the town natives, and Coloradans. Video posted on Facebook by Jim Melton showed a woman approaching the elk with her hand extends outside The Country Market of Estes Park.

After grazing its snout, she is seen reaching to pet the elk’s head between the eyes. The bull quickly adjusts its head, causing the woman to run into the entrance to the store.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department posted a video recently of a pair of moose engaged in a bit of a fight.

The video was captured by a Department wildlife biologist out of Buffalo, Wyoming.

Game and Fish said that "Bull moose have many ritualized means of establishing dominance without the risk of fighting. Antlers allow bulls to spar, basically just shoving matches, with a lower risk of injury."

Sunday Hunting Now Legal In Pennsylvania

There is new legislation that allows hunters to do something that they haven't been able to do in over 100 years in Pennsylvania!

Until now, it has been illegal to hunt on Sundays in PA. There are many reasons that some states (such as NY until recently) won't allow hunting on Sundays. Mostly, it is to give deer a chance to rest.

The measure permits Sunday hunting one day during rifle deer season, one during statewide archery deer season and a third day selected by the Game Commission.

It also requires a landowner’s written permission and makes it easier for wardens to enforce the anti-trespassing law.

The number of hunters in most states has also been on the decline. As our lives get busier, it becomes harder for those of us who love to hunt to get the time to get to the woods. The ability to hunt on Sundays does make it easier to get out and try to fill a tag.
