G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

It's begin when The MARS Corporation, led by the dastardly James McCullen (Christopher Eccleston), has developed a 'nanomite' bomb that include greenish particles capable of 'eating' metal and demolishing structures and vehicles in seconds. Just imagine that anyone who has the nanomite bomb will be able to control the world ( they have the power to demolish anything ) - which is what McCullen is trying to do with a secret organisation known as Cobra.

The troop who are sent out to get the bomb are the Baroness (Sienna Miller) and Storm Shadow (Lee Byung-hun) and trying to stop them are the elite G.I. Joe team led by General Hawk (Dennis Quaid). Leading members of the Joes team are Heavy Duty (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Scarlett (Rachel Nichols), Snake Eyes (Ray Park) and Breaker (Saïd Taghmaoui). They are later joined by US Special Forces members, Duke (Channing Tatum) and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) who provide the movie with its love story, romantic interests and comic relief, not to mention fast-paced action and thrills.

"Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" is a blockbuster hit or a box office flop, but most of the actors have expressed their willingness to return for a continuation. In an interview asks if it back for a second film, stars Kristin Kreuk to Black Eyed Peas' Taboo were quick to thumbs up for the continuation.

"I would like to work there and some other skills," Kreuk, the actress who plays Chun-Li, said of the possible successors. "I loved training, there was so much fun." Showing similar interest, the Balrog depicter Michael Clarke Duncan was just saying: "Absolutely," and added that the people want the same actor for a continuation. "Because once you see a movie with these characters, you don 't want to see all the other actors, but the characters they play. It is somehow hard to turn it and say:" Now it's gonna be this guy. "

Shot in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Vancouver, the 20th Century Fox film is heading in U.S. cinemas on 27 February.

Anyone who would remotely consider themselves to be a fan of the spoof genre would reject this trash. I'll be the first one to admit that taste is subjective, but the guys that made this movie lack any sort of talent for this type of movie

Not all of these are great. Many are a product of their era. Some are downright "average" spoof movies, at best. But compared to "Meet the Spartans" (or Epic Movie or Date Movie) they are a BILLION times better. And they have one thing in common... Zucker / Abrahams / Zucker (also must give props to writer Pat Proft). These guys INVENTED this genre. Watch these films and you will realize Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer are talentless hacks who think just making a reference to pop culture is funny.

If Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer are reading this, I suggest you might want to watch these movies as well. You might learn a thing or two.

I'm telling the truth...i thought this movie would be a stinker from the teaser trailer and TV spots but this surprised me as well as every other person at the screening. It even surprised the film operator! Anyway, the great voice cast voiced by some great actors, Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell and even Seth Rogen(which is a nice change for him, from all his dirty cursing roles(don't get me wrong,i love him in those roles)). Dane Cook was a little annoying, but it wont really distract you from the big picture. In this film, Steve Carrell is the Mayor of Who-Ville, a town on a dandelion full of tiny people. Jim Carrey plays Horton...who is a elephant who finds a dandelion, picks it and figures out he must protect it because of Who-ville. Seth Rogen plays a rat like creature in his role. A supporting cast with Amy Poehler, Jonah Hill, Dan Fogler and much more. This film is great for little kids and a surprising delight for adults.

Choosing which college to attend can be the most exciting and thrilling time of a young womans life ... unless your overprotective father isnt quite ready to let you go. In this family comedy, Melanie (Raven-Symoné) is eagerly looking forward to her first big step towards independence when she plans a girls only road trip to check out prospective universities. But when her overbearing police chief father (Martin Lawrence) insists on escorting her instead, she soon finds her dream trip has turned into a nightmare adventure full of comical misfortune and turmoil.

Comment :
Martin Lawrence is hardly the height of great cinematic performers, during the 90's the success of comics such as Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler prevented him from getting to many high profile movies, against the likes of Carrey who is actually funny, Lawrence just didn't represent that much of a Box-Office threat. Now that a lot of those dudes are attempting more serious films, Lawrence has recently had two films released in close quarters the passable Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins and this abomination. Basically the film sees Lawrence ferry his daughter around the country in order to help her find the perfect college with several other family members and assorted characters lagging behind. All are suitably "crazy" in that stupid Hollywood way, and Lawrence clearly sees himself as the star of this woeful effort, gurning and overacting his way through as many scenes as possible. Bottom line....the man ain't funny!!! A film similar to this was made not that long ago with Cedric The Entertainer called Jonson Family Vacation. It wasn't great but at least it had a few chuckle worthy moments, I don't think I was amused successfully once during College Road Trip, bar by the sheer poverty of imagination displayed by it's clearly juvenile screenwriters. The director is Roger Kumble who made the excellent Cruel Intentions just short of 10 years ago, and since has been gradually heading down hack road, he may have made a half credible film with Just Friends but 2002's The Sweetest Thing was simply not acceptable. However this is a new nadir for the man I once thought was at least semi-talented, here he directs with a bland eye and is clearly not enthusiastic about the product. Basically he wanted a bit of cash and this was the best way to get it. Comically inept and at times completely unwatchable College Road Trip is as weak a comic effort as I expect 2008 theatres will have to show, and should pop up quickly on DVD. It's an early but strong candidate for the years bottom 10, and may even be the ever irritating Lawrence's worst production to date. Sadly however one is almost certain it will enter the weekends top 5, and might even grab the coveted no.1 spot. Still when the reviews start flying it will drop fast like the dead weight it is. Avoid.

This was one of the biggest disappointments I have had in a movie in a long time. Going in to the theater I expected some historical accuracy and believability and there was none. There was a bad mix of serious action and "three stooges" comedy just to make things a little worse. In one particular scene the group of men was walking in the snow and tundra which was above the tree line and then made a literally instant transition into a steamy rain forrest. This did not occur by changing scenes, but by the men taking 3 steps from one climate to another. Please do not waste your money on this terrible movie!!!!! I am very tempted to check the "spoiler" box before I send this review because that is exactly what this movie was - a spoiler. I would not recommend this movie to anyone - a waste of my 16 damn dollars on 2 tickets.

In Denmark in the year 507 a.D., elderly King Hrothgar (Anthony Hopkins) dedicates his new mead hall in a drunken revelry. He and his people have conquered other lands and collected much booty. Although his queen, Wealthow (Robin Wright Penn) clearly disapproves, the assembled warriors and maidens clearly enjoy themselves. However, in a cavern not far from the mead hall, the singing and dancing is a painful nuisance to the misshapen half-human, half-demon Grendel (Crispin Glover). Enraged, Grendel attacks the mead hall and kills or maims many of the warriors. He spares Hrothgar's life, however. After he returns to the cavern, his mother, a water demon (Angelina Jolie) soothes him. The next day, Hrothgar orders the mead hall sealed and sends out a call for a hero to come and rid the kingdom of Grendel.

Several months later, Beowulf (Ray Winstone) answers the call. His troops are led by his second-in-command, Wiglaf (Brendan Gleeson). Beowulf and his band are not Danes but rather Geats, which rankles Hrothgar's proud battle commander, Unferth (John Malkovich). He mocks Beowulf's legendary feats. Beowulf orders the mead hall reopened; that is where he will fight Grendel. That night, another party (though more subdued) is held. Wealthow plays her lute and sings. She and Beowulf are clearly attracted to one another. Hrothgar promises to give Beowulf his Dragon Horn, a beautiful gold mead cup with a dragon carved into the side of it, should he kill Grendel. That night, after the Danes have gone to bed, Beowulf's men sing bawdy songs to lure Grendel. When Grendel arrives, he slays many of Beowulf's men. Beowulf strips nude to fight Grendel hand to hand. He bursts Grendel's ear drums then severs his arm. As Grendel slinks into the night, Beowulf taunts him with boasts about his own strength and power. Grendel returns to the cavern where, with his dying breath, he tells his mother the name of the man who killed him.

The kingdom rejoices at Grendel's death. After a day of celebration, Beowulf and his men are to leave the next morning. That night, however, Grendel's mother comes to Beowulf in a dream, disguised as Wealthow. She asks him to give her another son. When he awakes, he discovers all of his men slaughtered. Only Wiglaf survives because he was tending to their ship, miles from the mead hall. Hrothgar reveals to Beowulf who killed his men -- Grendel's mother. He also reveals that Grendel was his own son, which is why Grendel spared him in the initial attack, and why Wealthow refuses to give him a human heir. Beowulf announces his intent to kill Grendel's mother. To show his new faith in Beowulf and his strength, Unferth gives him his own familial sword. Beowulf goes to the cavern to kill Grendel's mother. He uses the Dragon Horn to light his way. But, taking the form of a naked, beautiful woman, she seduces him with promises of power. When he returns to the mead hall, Beowulf delights the assembled with tales of how he killed Grendel's mother. He apologizes for losing both Unferth's sword -- Grendel's mother melted it with her magic -- and the Dragon Horn -- she kept it as a symbol of their truce. Hrothgar, no stranger to her charms, recognizes that she has seduced Beowulf. He tells his subjects that, upon his death, Beowulf will be their new king. He then leaps from the castle tower to his death on the rocky shore below. The crown is immediately placed on Beowulf's head.

Years pass. Beowulf is a good leader to the Danes and his power and fame spread. He does not enjoy being king though, and guilt over his betrayal of Hrothgar nag him. He, too, is unable to sire an heir, either on Wealthow or his willing concubine, Ursula (Alison Lohman). One day, Unferth, who is now a Christian priest, brings to him the Dragon Horn, which had been found in a barren moor. Beowulf realizes that it means that the truce between Grendel's mother and Beowulf is now over, though he cannot reveal that to anyone else. That night, a giant fire-breathing dragon attacks the village. It briefly takes a human form and tells Unferth to deliver a message to Beowulf. It then resumes burning people to death. Badly burned himself, Unferth tells Beowulf the dragon's message: the sins of the father are visited upon the sons.

Beowulf knows he must fight and kill both the dragon and its mother. He and Wiglaf return to the cavern but as soon as Beowulf enters, Grendel's mother sends the dragon after him. He and Wiglaf barely escape its fiery breath then chase it as it flies towards Beowulf's castle. As Danish soldiers battle the dragon with arrows and spears, Beowulf climbs onto the dragon and searches for a way to kill it. The dragon makes his way to the castle and traps Wealthow and Ursula on a breezeway. Beowulf finally finds the dragon's weak point and, cutting it open, plunges his hand into the dragon's breast and rips its heart out. He and the dragon fall to the rocky shore. Mortally wounded, Beowulf watches as the dragon transforms into a human who looks like his father. Beowulf then dies.

Wiglaf is now king. He tearfully watches as Beowulf's burial ship is set ablaze then sinks into the sea. Just as the ship begins to slip beneath the waves, Grendel's mother appears and kisses Beowulf's body. The Dragon Horn washes ashore at Wiglaf's feet. He picks it up then sees Grendel's mother rise from the waves, tempting him anew.

Everyone thought of it as a harmless lightning storm. When Dave Drayton (Thomas Jane) notices a strange mist on the lake, he thinks nothing of it. When his son, Billy Drayton (Nathan Gamble), his neighbor Brent Norton (Andre Braugher), and himself travel to the supermarket, the unthinkable happens. On their way to the market, they see the army, the firefighters, and the police, heading toward the mist. When he sees this Brent mentions something about "Project Arrowhead", a secret military plan that no one knows about. As they are shopping, they see three army men walk in, just to pick up a few things then head toward the mist.All eighty of the store's shoppers had no clue what was going on until an old man (Jeffery Demunn) runs in the market with a bloody nose and declares "Something in the mist!" He tells them to close the door. About five seconds after they do close the door, the entire store shakes, as though it was lifted feet above the ground. When David is asked to check on the generator, the loading dock door was being pushed by something outside. Then there was a groan heard by Dave. He asks three people to come with him. When Norm the bag-boy(Chris Owen) volunteers to go out, he is taken by a creature with large squid-like tentacles that have mouths, teeth, and arms of their own. When Dave and the other three fight it off, they alarm everyone in the store what is out there. After hearing this, Mrs. Carmody(Marcia Gay Wallace)exclaims that it is the end of times and that God is punishing them. People don't believe it until Mrs.Carmody has almost everyone in the store on her side. Does 'Project Arrowhead' have anything to do with this? Will Dave Drayton, his son, and his friends make it out alive as they make their last stand against this destruction? Or will they be taken by the demon-like creatures of 'The Mist'? Grizzly Park is about a group of miscreant youths that are forced on a hiking trip through the eponymous park as part of their sentence (or something, I didn't really care).

The film is both written and directed by newcomer Tom Skull. Few good writers also make good directors, and unfortunately he is neither. The visual look of the film is passable, but the artistry of the shots and footage is bland and uninteresting.

And the writing is often uneven and boring, not to mention filled with dumb lines like this: "If a tree falls in the forest, do you hear the tree? I mean, how do you know it's been more than ten minutes, can you tell time by the sun or something?" A potentially important plot line of an escaped rapist/killer makes a cursory appearance and two homicides, only to be ended before it affects the main storyline in any real way. While his dispatchment might make sense if the ultimate direction of the movie wasn't clear from the beginning, here it just seems sloppy.

Add to that fact that all the characters are completely unlikeable, save for the ditsy Bebe (Emily Foxler) and Ranger Bob (Glenn Morshower, slumming here). This is a combination of the bad writing and mostly poor acting, but especially the writing. For instance, a buff, white-power twentysomething seems almost polite for the majority of the film, even towards Ty, the requisite black character.

Finally, this film commits the cardinal sin of horror movies: it was boring. At a scant 91 minutes (including credits), it should move pretty briskly, but the opening drags on, treating us to not one, not two, but three introductions to the characters, including a totally unnecessary cut to their mugshots. By the time the action gets going in earnest, some hour and seventeen minutes in, I just don't care anymore.

Nick Nunziata, founder and now-infrequent contributer to CHUD.com (which I refuse to read now since Devin Faraci took over and ruined the site), co-produced this film, and I must say that I'm disappointed in him. After running one of the most successful movie websites, it should be clear to him what works and doesn't work in a movie, but he seemed to strap rose-colored glasses on for this. Perhaps his next outing will be more productive.

Bottom line: Don't see this film.

I saw this movie at a special screening in LA. There were lots of folks there from all walks of life and all ages - the movie seemed to go over very well with everyone in the room. The move is filled with some very tense moments and excellent performances by Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg, Robert Duvall and Eva Mendes. Phoenix and Wahlberg work well together as the troubled brothers and Robert Duvall is perfect as always. I've seen some real stinkers at the movies recently (I won't bother you with the list because it's too long) so it was refreshing to see that movies can still be well made with characters you can care about and root for. Since the movie wasn't finished at the time I got to see it, I look forward to enjoying the movie again at local movie theater..- comment by shoffman

I have never read the book, but I was very impressed by this movie. The cast was phenomenal especially Alexander Ludwig. I think she threw him perfect for the role of Will. The first time I showed my mother this trailer to be seen, she said. The story was great, and both my mother and I were too slow and a bit confused, but you will want to know what it all means. Everyone has such a big job, and the film was exciting and beautiful to treat the films on a cold Friday. I recommend this movie especially for all children, but there are some scary parts, I would not depending on the age, but if you think they can handle. It was a lot of fun, and you will be in love with the cat!
