'Shakespeare in Love' star Gwyneth Paltrow has spoken out again about her cutting-edge coming of age experiences, specifically being at the forefront of the reform of race relations in America. Paltrow’s ability to annoy and irritate by being simultaneously unaware of her privilege while condescending every other person in the rest of America is so prolific, and her recent comments about her dad’s work on an 80′s TV show as a testament to her being down-ness is so tone deaf it’s almost offensive.

In an interview that's sure to have her many haters foaming at the mouth, outspoken actress Gwyneth Paltrow sat down with noted author/music executive Steve Stoute for his AOL Huff Post series, The Tanning Effect, and cleared her view on racial diversity and the Black community. After an emotional - and at times controversial -- season, army veteran and former "All My Children" actor J.R. Martinez came out the best among 11 celebrities to become the newest ballroom champion, alongside his partner and first-time mirrorball champ, professional dancer Karina Smirnoff.

In this way J.R. Martinez ended a storybook chapter to ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars' by hoisting the show's mirrorball trophy in victory following the finale on November 23.

Martinez, an Army veteran who often joked in the beginning of the season about how much of an unknown he was on the celebrity dance competition, went on to inspire millions of viewers with his story of recovery from a 2003 landmine explosion in Iraq.

During the show's two-day finals, Martinez, 28, and pro partner Karina Smirnoff, 33, also impressed enough with their fancy footwork to win the 13th season title, the first for Smirnoff. "Thank you, America, for believing in us," Martinez said.

After the show, a thrilled Martinez said, "I just want to breathe and take it all in. It's been such an amazing journey."

Well, he's not really your father's Jor-el.. But, in the latest Superman adaptation, "Man of
Steel" (not to be confused with "Buns of Steel"), Russell Crowe is playing the superhero's dad.

On Monday (Oct. 3), Crowe was photographed in his costume while on the Vancouver set of the film. Despite a flurry of tweets in recent weeks about his strict exercise regimen, Crowe is seen smoking in some of the photos and the U.K.'s Daily Mail comes right out and says it: "the star looks decidedly paunchy."

The new movie, due in theaters in 2013, stars Henry Cavill in the title role. Amy Adams will play Superman's love interest, Lois Lane. Also on board: Michael Shannon as General Zod, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Superman's adoptive human parents, the Kents, and Laurence Fishburne as Daily Planet editor Perry White.

Rumors about the demise of the six-year marriage between Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher were swirling Wednesday on the Internet -- courtesy of a tabloid magazine that alleges they are divorcing and a recent, cryptic tweet by Moore that quotes a Greek philosopher.

This particular celebrity-split rumor, which has not been commented on by the stars’ respective reps, stems from a cover story in Star magazine that says the couple have been living apart for months because Kutcher is supposedly a serial cheater. Oh, and also — here comes the cherry on the seedy tabloid sundae — that the “Two and a Half Men” star allegedly had a secret fling with Britney Spears.

Outlets like People magazine are adding to the rumors by noting that the two are currently on different coasts, are tweeting with less frequency and did not celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary together last weekend.

And then there’s that tweet from Moore (Twitter handle: mrskutcher ), which was sent Friday and may have, according to People, some deeper meaning: “When we are offended at any man’s fault, turn to yourself & study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger. -Epictetus.”

No one has noted that the “G.I. Jane” star also tweeted a quote from basketball coaching legend John Wooden just a few days earlier. That tweet said: “Never mistake activity for achievement.” And I think we all know what that means — probably that Moore liked the quote and decided to share it.

This is not the first time the state of the couple’s marriage has been the subject of speculation. During a trip to Israel last October, there were reports that Moore, 48, and Kutcher, 33, were trying to work on their relationship because of infidelity issues. Again, the reports were never confirmed.

This entire episode is reminiscent of the recent rumors that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith were splitting up, which by all appearances seems to be false. We’ll have to wait and see whether Kutcher and Moore borrow from the Pinkett-Smith playbook and issue a statement letting us all know that their marriage remains intact.

The murder of Meredith Kercher occurred in Perugia, Italy, on 1 November 2007. Kercher, aged 21 at the time of her death, was a British university exchange student from Coulsdon, South London. She shared an upstairs flat with three other young women. She was sexually assaulted and stabbed, and property belonging to her was stolen.

Rudy Guede, a resident of Perugia, was convicted on 28 October 2008 of the sexual assault and murder of Kercher. His fast-track conviction was upheld, and he is now serving a reduced sentence of 16 years. Raffaele Sollecito, an Italian student, and Amanda Knox, an American student and a flatmate of Kercher, were convicted of sexual assault and murder in a separate trial on 4 December 2009. They were given sentences of 25 and 26 years respectively. Knox and Sollecito have appealed. Their appeal commenced in December 2010 and is scheduled to end in late 2011.

The trials have been the subject of news reports around the world, particularly in Italy, Britain and the United States. The coverage has been criticised for being tabloid in nature rather than presenting the evidence accurately and dispassionately. Reactions to the case are polarized between the view that Knox and Sollecito are innocent victims of a miscarriage of justice. and the view that they were directly involved in Kercher's murder and convicted fairly. The conviction of Rudy Guede has not generated similar controversy.
