Taylor Lautner to Play Stretch Armstrong

Casting news… Taylor Lautner has been cast in the role of Stretch Armstrong. How do you think the Twilight hunk will do in playing the stretchy toy?

Universal Pictures co-chairman Donna Langley says of Launter: “In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global box office. He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely super hero with a fantastic super power. We couldn’t be more pleased that he has agreed to be our Stretch.”

Look for Taylor Lautner as Stretch Armstrong when the 3D movie hits screens in 2012.

Watch the new red band trailer for “Cop Out” in this video clip – I think we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief after seeing the R rated trailer that Cop Out might not suck as bad as originally thought.

Cop Out, directed by Kevin Smith, stars Bruce Willis, Tracey Morgan, and Seann William Scott and opens in theaters on February 26.

This trailer should give Kevin Smith fans a little something to look forward to – this looks leaps and bounds funnier than what the PG trailer showed.

Walt Disney Pictures Planning Enchanted 2

Fans of the fairytale film Enchanted will either love or hate this news – Walt Disney Pictures has announced that an Enchanted Sequel is in the works.

Disney has already selected the writer and director for Enchanted 2 and hopes to get the original stars on board again.

Will Disney be able to get Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams signed on for the sequel?

Brittany Murphy Autopsy Results: Accidental Death Pneumonia, Anemia, Drug Intoxication

The Brittany Murphy autopsy results have now been released, according to TMZ.com.

Brittany Murphy’s autopsy revealed the cause of death to be an accidental death brought on by “community acquired pneumonia,” iron deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication.

No details yet about the drugs involved in Brittany Murphy’s death.

Lindsay Lohan, in her latest attempt to stay relevant, is admitting to The Insider that she’s a hoarder. Or maybe she just has a ton of clothes and shoes and nowhere to put them?

At any rate, Lindsay Lohan allows The Insider’s cameras into her home, telling Niecy Nash, “I just need to get rid of stuff… It’s personal stuff that I have to work on.”

Tune in to The Insider tonight to see if Lindsay Lohan in fact is a hoarder. Hoarding seems the least of her problems, really, but whatever gets you media attention, I suppose…

Mel Gibson Calls Reporter Asshole During Interview (Video)

Mel Gibson is drawing negative attention again – watch Mel in this interview with WGN reporter Dean Richards, where the guy’s line of questioning doesn’t sit well with Gibson.

Mel seems to have the last word, calling the reporter an asshole at the end of the video clip.

In his defense, Mel Gibson says the asshole insult was directed at his publicist, not the reporter.

Gibson sent a text message to KTLA’s Sam Rubin saying that his publicist was making faces at him off camera – he called the publicist an asshole, believing that he was no longer on air.
