Rahul dravid retires

2012-03-13T15:54:00.000-07:00

Rahul dravid, a true role model for younger generations both in terms of the way he conducted himself and the solid technique that earned him alias "The Wall".
He would have been held in greater veneration if born in a era other than sachin.

A true team player who gives his heart out and plays as per team needs be it as a wicket keeper, as an opening batsman.
He is always peripherally involved in every crest of Indian Cricket of late.
Be it may be VVS laxman's 281 against aussies where Rahul provided the support with his 161.
Be it sachin's 186 where he provided support him with 153 and saurav's 183 with 146.
I wonder if he is the most Overshadowed legend of our times.

Ohio school shooting

2012-02-28T12:32:00.000-08:00

Another incident of violence in school because of unreasonable longing for peer acceptance and inability to cope with the contrary.
T.j Lane is identified to be the killer by the eye-witness.
In Late december, his facebook page read:
"He longed for only one thing, the world to bow at his feet,,........Die,All of you"
Lane opened fire with a handgun in cafeteria and reportedly 3 students were killed.
The family life of lane is disrupted by violence and divorce.

The entire incident reminds a movie about the tale of boy who shot his friends and then turned it onto himself
and the turbulence in the life of parents aftermath.

JavaScript

2012-02-28T11:55:00.000-08:00

JavaScript, language of the web,is one of triad of the languages along with HTML and CSS that defines web.
It is the most widely misinterpreted language in the existence.
First of all, it is in no way related to Java except the name.
Every dynamic feature of the web is developed by JavaScript like search suggestions in the browser,
location of information, every update that happens without user intervention.

Much of its syntax is derived from self,a dynamic language.
Because of its expressiveness, this language just intended to be a scripting language because of the explosion of the web increased its potential to that of a general programming language.
Certain implementations of the language have caused the vulnerabilities and threats which include eval() function which is executed at the run time making the static analysis all the more difficult.
Douglas Crockford, senior JavaScript programmer at Yahoo and developer of JSLint and JSON felt that certain that Certain JavaScript features' usage should be avoided as the security threats they pose are incomparable to the features they present.

Oscars 2012

2012-02-27T23:20:00.000-08:00

The festival of Hollywood is finally over.
As always there is heated debate over the jury's recommendations.
Lets glance through the movies and see the cases of dissidence.
First things first

The academy reverted to tried-and-true Billy Crystal to host the show who I think has lost his touch and his Blackface shtick was unfunny and outdated and several remarks(black lady in Beverly hills, Morgan Freeman reference) have reportedly touched the nerve of African-American communities.

The Best Picture: Truly "the artist" deserves the Oscar for the deft homage to the silent cinema.
For movie about technique, its surprisingly effective in story telling.

The best actress: Even though Meryl streep did good, Viola davis still deserved oscar for such an eloquent performance. Also surprising Tilda swinton(we need to talk about kevin) didn't got a nominaton.

Best Director: Even though Hazanavicius won the Oscar, he did have serious competition from industry legends martin scorsese and Woody Allen(who had to be satiated with Best Original Screenplay).

Best supporting actor: surprising albert Brooks didn't get the nomination.
Christopher plummer thoroughly deserves the oscar.

Melancholia should've got more nominations.

Indian cricket rift

2012-02-24T14:15:00.002-08:00

Every now and then there are times where Indian team gets bogged down because of rifts, controversies and misunderstandings.
But the comments of dhoni on seniors are most idiotic to say atleast.
The trio of Sehwag, Sachin and Gambhir are the best top order batsmen. Thanks to them, we are 2011 Champions.
Check the average of these guys over the year.
It is one thing to say that they wanted test the reserve bench while preparing for 2015.

But the comments of Dhoni are completely inappropriate in any context terming their best players as slow and a liability.

I once saw the trailer of 500 days of summer and thought it was Katy perry.
Last week as I watched, I realized she wasn't katy perry but Zooey deschanel

Both of them are blessed with a wonderful voice and good acting skills.
Both of them had got divorced recently

Cigarette as appetite supressant

2012-02-24T12:41:00.002-08:00

Cigarette is now marketed by most tobacco companies as an appetite suppressant to target women
And now even gay men are under the radar.

Many Super models are addicted because they cherish its impacts as appetite suppressor.
Nicotine reduces the insulin levels in the body and decreases the cravings for sugary food.
Correlation between the weight loss and smoking has been found at-least among young adults.
They are widely advertised in this regard with instances like Virginia slims etc
The most difficult part of quitting is the correlated increase in body weight which make them resort to it.
Nevertheless, Correlation between staying thin and Smoking has a wide impact on 20th century
