London is being wrecked by the misuse of money.
We are told that we must be grateful to the City of London for  earning us so much money. In fact the City should be grateful to London  for being such a lovely place to live. Why does it not put more of its  riches back into London?

Following on from our posts on The Globe, I wanted to mention the brilliant Tate Modern on The Southbank. If you&#39;re on our Southbank walk you&#39;ll pass nearby. You can hardly miss the red brick building with it huge tower as it was once a power station. Shakespeare&#39;s Globe is without doubt one of my favourite parts of London. Located in Soutwark, on the Southbank, it&#39;s a few minutes walk from the Tate Modern and about 15 minutes from Waterloo.

This history of the building is fascinating. Firstly, it&#39;s not built on the site of Shakespeare&#39;s original globe but it&#39;s as close as it can be to that site. Fifteen years ago, the library reading room was housed in the museum but it was tiny and could not satisfy the demand for books.
