Arts & Culture Funding Initiative Community Meetings

The current economic conditions have made it clearer than ever that Arizona’s arts and culture community needs a new source of public funding that is stable and dependable so that we may continue offering exceptional experiences for our communities.

Over the last year, a team of advocates, including representatives of arts and culture organizations, large and small, have been working to create an initiative to be placed on the Arizona general election ballot in November 2010 to secure this funding stream. Three meetings around Metro Phoenix have been scheduled to discuss what the initiative looks like, what success will mean to our arts and culture community, and what we will need to do collectively to ensure the initiative is placed on the ballot and that voters approve it in November 2010. Meetings statewide are being scheduled.

You, your board members and your prominent supporters are a critical part of this effort and are invited to attend any of the following events.
