Career and Human Resource Consultant – Part-time Manitoba Print Industry Association The Manitoba Print Industry Association Inc. (MPIA) is a non-profit, industry-based organization created to promote and support the Manitoba print industry through awareness, advocacy and human resource initiatives. The MPIA is seeking a part-time Career and Human Resource Consultant (24 hours/week). Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful individual is responsible for promoting career awareness in the Manitoba print industry through school presentations, company tours, and career fairs as well as partnering with related agencies. The individual will also provide expertise to smaller Manitoba print companies in area of human resource development including: recruitment and selection, performance management, policy and procedures, etc. Qualifications: Certificate in Human Resource Management Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HR consulting is recommended Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, auditory and presentation) Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently Access to personal vehicle Please reply in confidence, including a complete resume, cover letter and 2 to 3 references, in writing on or before: April 22, 2016. MITT RECEIVES 1.1 MILLION TO ADVANCE GRAPHIC AND PRINT TECHNICIAN PROGRAM

The Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology (MITT) received a 1.1 million dollar grant through the Government of Canada’s Western Economic Diversification to establish a skills development and training initiative for the print industry in Manitoba. Joyce Bateman, Member of Parliament for Winnipeg South Centre, on behalf of the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, announced the investment at MITT’s Fultz Campus, the new home to MITT’s Graphic and Print Technician (GPT) Program.
