I don't consider him potty trained yet because he never tells us when he needs to go and he doesn't help with any of the pulling down his pants and undies... He just stands there. We ask him several times throughout the day, most of the time he says he doesn't need to go, when he really he does need to. He only goes on either the big potty with a potty ring( only #1 though) and only goes number #2 on his frog shaped potty( Fisher price brand)

Here lately he has been going #2 in his pants and not telling us. It is so frustrating. He knows how to hold his pee( if he doesn't want to stop playing something) and he hasn't had an accident in a LONG TIME! I just can't get him to tell us when he needs to go, or just goes by him self!

Does anyone have any suggestions??!!

Love, Jayme

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Love, Jayme

Trying to make a comeback

I'm hoping that having it be RIGHT there will help me keep up with blogging.

Nathan has really grown up here lately. He is reading, practicing writing letters and numbers and is just all in all a super smart little boy. A very tricky, smart little boy. It is hard to get anything by him, and he is quick with the come backs when it comes to convince him to do something.

Well I know I have very few readers, but this will all be pretty much all for my memory :)
Love, Jayme

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Love, Jayme

Yay for giveaways!!!

The morning started out pretty good, but as soon as I went to the kitchen, I ended up killing about 100 ants! While I was on ant patrol, Nathan was busy being a stinker! The first time I caught him doing something he wasn't supposed to, he was on all fours on the TV stand!!!!! Then a few minutes later while I am still on ant patrol, I heard him in the bathroom. He was sitting on the toilet, unrolling toilet paper and playing with air freshner. I can't take my eyes off the kid!!! He has also taken a liking to pulling the cats tail :( and he thought it would be funny to pull our poor cat around the living room by his tail.

Later on we decided to go to Lowes to pick up a few things. He saw an older kid standing outside the cart, so I guess he decided he needed to get down, and started to try to jump out of the cart. Kyle got him out, and he took off running like a crazy man!!! I think it is safe to say we are going to experience the TERRIBLE THREES!!!!!

If anyone has any suggestions on how to tame my wild child, please share!!!!
Love, Jayme

It's been awhile!!

I really need to keep up with this. If not for my adoring readers, but for me.... later on down the road when Nathan is driving me crazy, and I can go back and read about how sweet he was :)

So he is growing like a weed these days. Strangers think he is at least 2 1/2 or 3! He isn't even 2 yet! He is counting very well these days also! He can count up to 13 and count to 10 in Spanish! He really likes to count down with the microwave and make the beeping sound at the end!

He has known his colors since he was around 13 months old, but here lately everything is PINK! Needless to say, we have been hitting the "colors" book pretty hard!

Back in April we took him to chuck e. cheese for the first time to a birthday party. I thought he would be a little reserved since there was so much noise and so many people. But as soon as we found our group, he was wanting down and trying to take tokens out of peoples cups! He had a blast, and didn't want to leave! He also recently went to his 2nd baseball ( 1st one since he has turned 1) and he had a blast! We had box seats so he was able to run around in the A/C and play with other kids.

I hate to admit this, but he still eats baby food! I try every day to offer him other things, but if he is not familiar with it, it is not going in his mouth! There are a few things we can get him to eat, but no enough to fill him up each day. But at least he is getting healthy food instead of junk all the time.

He is still OBSESSED!!!! with Max and Ruby!!! I really want to find everything to be able to have his 2nd birthday be Max and Ruby themed.

One major accomplishment we have recently done was to get him to wear hats!!! Before you would be lucky to get a hat on him for more than 5 seconds. But one night I put a hat on him and stood him in front of the mirror and that was all it took! So then I got his sunglasses ( again, he wasn't a fan) and put them on him in front of the mirror, and ta-da, he loved them!

He loves playing outside. He loves to splash in puddles of water. I'm sure our water bill is going to be outrageous this summer!

Well I'll do another update soon with pictures.
Love, Jayme

Do you take checks?

Today has been one of those days, one of those FANTASTIC days!!!

Nathan and I got up, made him a pancake and gave him some juice. We played, we built things, we had fun. Then Grandma showed up and I got ready and made a listed and headed to the store, BY MY SELF!! As soon as I dug for my shopping list I realized I didn't have my wallet! Luckily I had checks. Thank goodness I didn't need my driver's license!!

So I made it home and got Nathan some milk ready and he went to bed with out a fight! I wanted to get the vacuum cleaner fixed ( broken belt for a few days is not good) When I first tried to put the belt ( what seems 2 sizes too small) on I was sure I had bought the wrong size. After using a little muscle :) ta-dah! Now Nathan is napping and I'm dying to vacuum, haha!

I think what makes today a little better is knowing that Kyle is off work tomorrow. Since he got screwed in not getting a weekend off he is getting to take a day off this week and a day off next week! I'm kind of excited!!!!!

Well that's it friends, and for now I shall leave you with this...

Nathan Update:

-Still cute as ever!
-Counting to 4 in Spanish!!!
-Can count to 15 in English
-Knows his ABC's and can sing them ( only leaving out a few)
-LOVES money!!! It's so cute to hear him say "Coins" or "Quarter"
-Loves dancing
-When he plays with certain toys he likes to have music on. He has a toy that plays music so he will get it, turn it on and as soon as the music stops, he will stop what he is doing and get it going again. Too Cute!!!!
-Recently had his first trip to Chuck E. Cheese! And oh my word, he LOVED!!!! IT! ( The next day I showed him a picture of him and Mr.Cheese and he said "Chuck Cheese" again, too cute!
-Loves running and playing outside. Current favorite things to play with outside are :Rocks, "helicopter" things that are falling from our tree right now, and chalk!

That's pretty much it for now. He is talking so much and really starting to form sentences. Oh and he has mastered the iphone!, haha
Love, Jayme

Storytime Live!!!!

And guess who's going? WE ARE!!! As crazy as it is, Nathan loves Dora and Boots ( not as much as Max and Ruby, I wish they were in the lineup ): )

Tonight when I was ordering the tickets, He was sitting next to me and saw the ad, and OMG he was excited!!! He started whispering "Dora", " Boots" over and over again. I think he will love it!!! I planned our seats( as much as I could) pretty well I think. We will be sitting in the balcony on the side. I don't want to be down on the main floor with all the crazy, germ infested kids ( no offence) I am really excited, and probably have no idea what we are getting ourselves into by doing this when Nathan is only 18 months old, but it will be adventure, and I'm ready for it!

Check back in late March to see if we make it out of there still sane,ha!

Love, Jayme

Why must you fight it?!

Sometimes he will give in around 2 or 3, but I just think that is too late for a nap. Usually by 5:00 pm his little eyes are so droopy, and we are looking for anything that has just a little bit of sugar in it, to keep him going just a bit longer. I don't want him going to sleep any earlier than 8 or so, otherwise we will be waking up at 6:00am and I DO NOT want to wake up that early!!! I think this teething thing is getting hard on him. I believe he is cutting up to 6 teeth right now, and they are the big ones in the back. I feel so bad for him. He constantly has his hands crammed in his mouth, just chewing away on his little chubby hands. And since it's been rather cold here lately, his hands feel like little ice blocks :( I give him teething tablets and Tylenol at night sometimes, but I don't want him drugged up all day. I can't wait for this process to be over with, and I'm sure he can't wait either.
Love, Jayme

Just a little update

The superintendent didn't get the job, like we were hoping for. Therefore that means no job opening :( I was really looking forward to moving. I had been looking at houses, trying to figure out where things were... I was really excited. This was a dream job for Kyle. He deserves to be a superintendent somewhere. And I want that "somewhere" to be close. I know this is his year, something good will open up and he's going to move on up the ladder!! Until then, I'll keep praying for his chance.

On another note, We just had the Snow Storm of 2010!!! Thank goodness it was a snow storm and not an ice storm!!! Last year we had the worst ice storm ever!!! I never want to go through anything like that ever again!!!!!! (maybe later I'll edit this and add some pictures) We were so worried about this storm, I called a tree service and had them come out and cut back 3 very scary trees in our front yard! I'm glad we didn't have to hear any branches snapping or trees falling over this year! I have never been so stressed in my whole life while waiting for this storm to get here. But that is a whole other post, ha!

Anyway... well that's what has been going on in the Soller household.

Peace out :)
Love, Jayme

Why am I even writing this....

The course ( golf course) isn't even finished yet, which makes it even better. Getting to be there for the construction is a big thing. Any who, the thing about it is, is that it is in Owasso,OK!!! I never pictured my self living in OKLAHOMA!!! But for some reason, I am super excited about this. It would be an answered prayer.

I told him that he needs to have everything in an envelope, stamped and ready to be put in the mail as soon as he hears something about it.You see, moving up in the golf course industry is kind of hard to do. He has been at the same level for 6 years now!!! And he has had at least 3 bosses already. I think it is time for him to get to step up a notch, and obviously it isn't going to happen at his current place of employment :(

He has a friend at said golf course, so we are hoping that this friend could pull some strings for him. Ohhhhh I would love for him to be a superintendent at this golf course. This is what he has been working hard for , for so long. It would make the long summer hours worth it for sure!

Anyway, Well that is what has been going on. Positive thoughts and prayers are much appreciated!!
Love, Jayme

Big Boy update

So I just wanted to really make note for myself as to what Nathan is doing now at 14 months. Wow, I can't believe he is 14 months already... time is flying by!!

So anyway on to what my big boy is doing now:

As for the words he is saying:
-Mommy ( or my mommy)
-Daddy
-Cookie
-Kitty
-Truck ( yes he says it correctly, i've heard of kids not pronouncing it correctly and saying it with an F instead of T... and if he couldn't say it correctly we would not mention that word to him for a looong time!!
-Car ( also says Brrmmmm Brmmm when pushing his cars around or even see's one)
-Train ( he also says Choo Choo when he pushes his trains around
-Two
-Ten ( who knows if he is actually saying the numbers but it sure does sound like it)
-Blue,Purple, and yellow ( he reconizes the colors as well when we look at his Color's Book and says them when he comes to the ones he knows)
-Nana ( Banana)
-Book ( He LOVES books!! Right now his favorites are "Who's Laughing" and "Goldilocks and the Three Bears - he brings it to me and says " my mommy" we are thinking that he thinks Goldilocks looks like me and that is why he says it (: )
-Ball
-Bye-bye

I know there are more, but for some reason I am drawing a blank. I seriously can't get over how much he can say. I love hearing his little voice! And I love it even more when he is walking around the house saying " dooo dooo dah doo" it cracks me up!!

He is such a busy little boy. He loves to play, and play hard. When he get's bored of something he just tosses it to the side ( also cracks me up)

He loves to play Patty cake. He loves to do the "roll it up" part the best.

Sometimes when I ask him to point to his nose he does it, other times he either grabs he ears or simply ignores me, little stinker!!

He has been walking now for about 2 months and he is getting GOOD at it. Almost running in fact. I think I'm going to teach him how to walk backwards :)

Oh the other night he was laying on his belly playing with some toys ( i love to watch him doing that) and he pushed him self backwards a couple feet ( you would have had to have seen it, it was cute!!)

and lastly he has recently started to squat down to see something better if an object ( Tree or blinds ,etc.) are blocking his view. Too cute!!!!

well that's about all I can think of at the moment. He is changing so much so fast. I feel like I can't blink with out him doing something new.

EDIT: Nathan has a See n' Say and he now knows how to do all but about 3 of the animal sounds!! I have no idea where he learned how to do them, but its ADORABLE!!! My favorite sounds is his Pig noise!! It is so stinkin' cute!!!!

Annnnd another adorable thing he does now ( okay I know I'm his mom and everything he does is priceless) He has a favorite picture of Kyle and I. He takes it off the bookshelf and brings it to me, while saying mommy, my momma.... oh my goodness, I LOVE IT!!!!!
Love, Jayme

Happy Halloween!!!

So I think it is safe to say that today has been pretty stressful!!

To start my day off, I hear a ticking coming from the kitchen. I couldn't figure out what it was! then as i got closer to the dryer ( our washer and dryer are in the kitchen) i put two and two together. It freaked me out!! So I call my mom to tell her all about it, and for some reason i went outside and looked in the little storage room that it outside our house. I see WATER!! So then I begin to cry!!! Why do all of this have to happen in one day?!

I called Kyle, crying. Asking him to come home and turn the breaker off and figure out what is going on with every thing. so of course he was speeding, and of course there has to be a cop on the road he was taking. Thank goodness the cop had sympathy for him, and he got away with a warning.

So Kyle, came home, turned off the breaker and went back to work. Upon him returning home from work, we find out that the hot water heater had been leaking since who knows when. So he turns that off, and he starts draining it. And while it is draining he went to Lowes to get the new outlet for our dryer. I am so proud of him for taking charge and changing it. He gets intimidated when it comes to home repair things.

So, he changes the outlet and we decide to not fill the water heater back up. Most likely the bottom is about to go, and we don't really know since it is sitting on the ground. But anywho... So i start a load of laundry and he yells to me " i think the washer is leaking" WHAT!!!! So i go in and the assess the situation. There is a nice puddle on the ground! WONDERFUL!!! So then I look even further to notice that the dryer hose is not attached to the dryer. GREAT!!! So I get my skinny little butt back there to start cleaning up the mess. TONS of lint everywhere!!! It smells like mildew back there, who knows how long we have had a leak back there. And of course I can't find the special tape that we used to connect the dryer hose to the back of the dryer... so now i have a load of laundry just sitting in the dryer, and the washer. looks like I'll be up to my ears in laundry!

Wow, i just heard a crazy sound come from the bathroom. I guess since we forgot to turn the hot water back to the off postion in the bathtub it made a crazy gurgling sound. So it looks like my morning will be filled with calling around trying to find the best deal on a new hot water heater, and i am crossing my fingers not to have to look for a new washer. Because we still don't have the one we have paid off yet!!! Oh Lord, please help me!!!! I need a break from all this house hold repair crap!!!

And to top things off, we are expecting a nasty day full of rain and thunder storms which could possibly produce strong winds and hail! I pray that the storm tomorrow is weak and passes quickly.

Please, if you read my blog, say a prayer for me!!! I need any that I can get. I feel a stress ulcer starting in my stomach, and I really don't need that right now.

But on top of all that has gone wrong today. I am thankful.. I am thankful for a wonderful, loving husband who takes care of me and Nathan. I am thankful for my wonderful mother who is helping us out with the hot water heater, and I am thankful for our health. I see beyond the dark cloud that seems to be looming over me right now, and I will put on my sunglasses, because behind every dark cloud there is sunshine, and I know this will pass.
Love, Jayme

From the mouth of a little boy

So I don't think I have ever touched on this subject, but it is just something I was thinking about.

Going back to when I was pregnant, when I was huge!!! Not just huge, but HUGE!!!!! It was so awful towards the end of my pregnancy. Not only was it summer time, with 100 degree temperatures, but it was kind of a busy summer, which meant my fat butt had to get out in that awful heat, carrying an extra 40-50 pounds!!!

Why was I so huge you ask? Well let me just tell you. I can't remember extactly when my doctor noticed, but I think it was around 6 or 7 months. Every time she would measure the fundal height, it started getting a lot bigger than it should. At the end of my pregnancy before I was induced my belly measured at 43 weeks, when in fact I was only 36/37 weeks pregnant! After many ultrasounds of watching the fluid levels ( should have been around 24, mine was around either 28 or 30 something, I can't remember exactly) I was ordered to come in EVERY WEEK, TWO TIMES A WEEK, FOR A MONTH!!!! While it kind of sucked to go up there so much, and having to wait in the waiting room A LOT, it was reassuring to hear my baby moving around in my belly. I LOVED that sound.

There were some days where he didn't move as much as they wanted, so I would drink some juice to get him going, and then he would go nuts! I think he just liked to nap around that time! And one day, he didn't respond so much to the juice, so my doctor buzzed my belly and that got him up!

So what is causing all of this fluid? It's something called polyhydramnios. There really isn't a known reason for it, but some complications that could cause it or that could happen due to this problem are kind of scary. I am glad I didn't google it too much when I was pregnant. One situation that may be the cause of this is that there are birth defects. The most common birth defects that cause polyhydramnios are those that hinder fetal swallowing, such as birth defects involving the gastrointestinal tract and central nervous system. So my doctor wanted to rule this out, with a some what of a detailed ultrasound ( I say that because they were wanting to send me to another hospital to have a better scan done, I didn't think it was really nessasary, because what could we do to change it? NOTHING! We would deal with it, when he was born) But on this scan done at the local hospital, everything looked great, praise the Lord!

The lady that preformed my ultrasounds, told me that she had the same thing happen to her and that there was nothing ever wrong with her child. That made me feel so much better, a little peace of mind if you will.

So fast forward to me around 36 weeks. Huge as a house and sweating like a beast! I beg my doctor every time I see her, to induce me! I had finally started to dialate, so that was a good sign. There was no way that she would have let me go until my due date, but I needed to dialate a little before considering inducing. I asked her if she thought my water might break because I had so much fluid and she told me that there was a chance.

I was so scared to go out anywhere in public for the fear of that happening! I knew it wouldn't be just a little puddle or anything like that. I knew it would be a sight to see! Thank goodness it didn't ever happen. My nurse joked with me saying that it would be like dropping a 5 gallon bucket of pickles on the ground!!!

Oh my gosh it was the grossest feeling when they did break my water in the hospital. The poor nurse that was picking up the towels that were used to soak up the fluid, said that she was glad she had her Wheaties that morning, and she was getting a work out. To this day, the doctors and nurses still know me!

So the whole time I'm dealing with all of this I never really thought too much about my self and what could happen to me. I guess that is what happens when your a mom. But the possible things that could have happened and do happen to women who deal with this are that the placenta could tear away from the wall before delievery. Therefore resulting in a lot of bleeding that may or may not be stopped. Or something called PROM (premature rupture of membranes). Or worst, Nathan could have been born stillborn.

GOD IS GOOD!!!!

I am so thankful for every day I get with my baby boy! He is my world, and for that I am THANKFUL!!
Love, Jayme

I've got fever!!!

I'm not even sure I could handle two kids right now... well in 9 months, but I miss being pregnant! I miss feeling the baby move, I miss the ultrasounds, I miss looking at cute little newborn clothes. I MISS IT!!!! I don't however miss the NAAAAASTY diapers, the formula, the spit up, etc.

I'm not sure what it is, but I'm getting really depressed over it. I know right now there is no way we could afford to have another one, but if everyone waited till they could afford to have a baby, well there would be a lot less babies. I know I need to trust in the Lord, He will provide.

Right now we are waiting for Kyle to at least get a better paying job. But in his industry, it is kind of hard to move up. He has been at the same position for almost 6 years now!!! 6 YEARS!! He has been through at least 3 bosses, and every time one would get fired, he was always looked over and they always hire someone else.

Every night I pray for him to get his break. He has amazing ideas and the guys that do work for him, admire him. Trust him, and are loyal to him.

Right now I am very happy and feel extremely blessed to have Nathan in our lives. I do, however, think he might be a little happier to have a baby brother or sister to grow up with.
Love, Jayme

Under the weather

I absolutely love this time of year! The air is crisp and cool, beautiful colors surrounds me, the leaves start to change. I LOVE IT!! And with cooler weather, brings a cooler home. And what better way to warm it up, than to bake.

It all started with me thinking it would be nice to bake cookies for all the guys that my husband works with. And when I say " All" I mean 22 MEN!!! I'm kind of scared to take on this task, so... I have baked for my family instead :)

I've been scouring the internet, looking for different cookie recipes, and I came across Peanut butter cookies. They sounded perfect! Kyle got home from work early today to my surprise, so I thought it would be the perfect time to bake.

I get on-line to find the perfect recipe. Got it, a recipe of someones grandmother, that everyone in their family loves. So that means it must be good. So I write everything down and go to the kitchen and start to gather my measuring cups, bowls and mixer. As I search the cabinet for the ingredients, I find Hershey Heath bits. Hmm... I look on the back to see what kind of recipes would be good using the bits. And to my suprise, there is a Heath Bit Peanut butter cookie recipe! So I throw out dear old granny's recipe and get to work on the Heath bits. I think I should have stuck with the 1st one. They were okay, but nothing wonderful.

I've also been eying Apple Crips recipes. So tonight when I went to the grocery store, I passed the apples, and they were one sale!! Score. So tomorrow, I do believe while my mom is here, I will be baking some yummy Apple Crips. Yum, I can't wait!!

I'll leave you with this:
Love, Jayme

One of those weekends

Wow, oh my gosh, what a weekend!! This weekend was full of a lot of mixed emotions. And it has totally wore me out!!!!

Saturday after Kyle got home from work, we packed up and made our way down to Ratcliff for the weekend. The drive down was amazing, which is a rare thing for me to say. Most of the time while driving down there I am a nervous wreck! The roads are littered with big trucks and people that don't pay too much attention while driving. I have been praying a lot lately that God will ease my mind while driving and to learn to trust the other drivers on the road better. Thank you God for answering my prayers!!! Okay, back to the trip. So we get down there and Nathan jumps right in and starts playing with his cousins ( an amazing site I might add. I love to watch him play with other kids). I'm pretty sure he had a car in his hand the whole time we were there!

So while there, I was visiting with my mother-in-law. She informs me that Grandma is not doing good. She has been battling Alzheimer's. She is currently on the highest dose of medicine and it is not helping anymore. This breaks my heart into a million little pieces. She is the sweetest little old lady I have ever met. Her and Grandpa are still married, living in a tiny little house that they have lived in for YEARS!!! Grandpa Pete still gardens, he was featured in the newspaper last year for his garden. It has always been amazing. But lately is getting smaller and smaller. He is in his mid ninties and recently just quite driving! I almost burst out in tears when I was informed of the news. It breaks my heart to know that she is scared and confused and that she is forgetting who her husband is. And to top all of that off, The Notebook was on last night, and I turned it on just as soon as Noah walked in to Allie's room at the end, and they talk about their love for each other, as they hold each other's hands and join our heavenly Father together. I burst into tears as I watched it.

Fast Forward a few hours later.

This morning as I was waking up, Kyle's dad comes in the house very upset. I don't think I had ever seen him that upset! Late last night or early this morning his bull got into a fight with another bull and lost. He broke his leg and was in so much pain. You see Kyle's parents have a ton of cows on their land. And a family friend has land right behind theirs. He is also a rancher ( with a bull). He was warned not to put a bull in the back pasture because the fence was weak and there was no way it would keep them apart. Well needless to say he didn't listen.

And if you know anything about bulls ( I didn't) their purpose is to breed. Or at least his was. And if a bull breaks it's back leg ( like this one did) there is no way for it to mate ever again. So... bull can't mate, what is good for now? Nothing I guess :( so sadly, it had to be shot. I have never seen anything like this ever before. As sad as it was, I couldn't help but watch. As I stare out the back door looking across the fence and pond, I see said bull try to get up and walk. My heart ached for the bull. As it got to where it wanted to go, a cow came up and stood next to him. Sniffing him and standing there watching over him. My heart ached more. At this point I walk away for a few minutes. Kyle's dad comes in the house and he is talking to MIL about what they are going to do with the bull.

All along I've been wondering how in the world they are going to pick up the bull once it is dead. Well I got my answer. They used some kind of big machine that almost looked like a bulldozer ( no pun intended) and lifted him up on to a trailor. I am not sure where they were taking him. I hope not to the slaughter house. I do NOT want to eat that bull!!! For some reason this one is different than the other cows that I've eaten. Oh my gosh that sounds really bad. I just might stop eating red meat! I was also wondering why they can't just take him to the vet and get his leg set and let him rest in a stall or something till it heals. But I guess they will be replacing the bull with another one soon, and obvisouly you can't have 2 bulls together.

I have been sad all day long. I was trying to talk to my mom about it today, and almost burst into tears again. I don't like to cry in front of people, so I had to stop myself and leave the room. I'm not sure what my problem has been lately, but I can't seem to shake it. I've also been dealing with this over-whelming sense of fear or something. I'm not quite sure what is or why I'm feeling this way. It mainly creeps up on me at night. I pray that God will ease my mind, and that always seems to work. But I'm getting tired of it.

I think I'll be making a call to the doctor soon to see if I can get any happy pills, that may be what I need right now!.

I'm taking the first step now to getting back my happiness. I'll leave you with something good.

It was great to see Nathan with his grandparents this weekend. We haven't been down in months ( because of Kyle's job) so it was great to see him reaching to them, getting into things like he had been there every weekend or something. He was comfortable, which makes mommy comfortable.
Love, Jayme

That thing you do.

Leading up to this HUGE milestone were a few little steps here and there... and then one night... BAM!!!! I was holding on to his hands and let go and he just took off! One of the most cutest moments yet!!!! He still prefers to crawl, and why not. He can get around much faster on the trusty ol' hands and knees. I give lots of credit to one of his new toys from his birthday... behold

His (great)cousin's Jeremy and Kristen bought this for him, and he LOVES it!!! It has really helped him learn to walk correctly ( he liked to walk on his tippy toes before) I highly recommend this Train!

Another AMAZING thing he has started doing.... get this... putting away his toys!!!!! I hope this continues, well, forever!!! And he has taken a huge interest in his books now which is wonderful. He must get that from his daddy!

He loves music! I recently put Kyle's keyboard in his room and loves to turn it on and play with all the different effects on it. He loves to dance anytime he hears music, which i love!! He shakes his little booty and smiles!!! Ohhhh its just so darn cute!

I am hoping that all these wonderful little quailties continue through life. And if f I have say, which i do cause I'm the mom :), they will!!
Love, Jayme

Here's to one amazing 1st year!

We made it a whole year together, and prefectly healthy (well one little ear infection) and happy too!! My dear sweet baby boy, you have made mommy and daddy more happy than you will ever know. We have loved every minute since you came into our lives.

Mommy and Daddy have been looking back at pictures of you, from when you were just minutes old to pictures of you learning to sit up on your own and so many more. You amaze me every day with something new that you have learned. It is such an amazing thing to see you go from this little itty bitty baby that was so helpless to this sweet adorable little boy that loves to do things on his own! Watching your face as you learn new things is priceless.

You have been such an amazing little baby. You now (that mommy actually takes you out :) :)love going places, seeing new people and doing new things. No matter if you have had a nap or not, you are willing to shop and be out, and i love that!! I see other kids that scream and cry,but not you! You are an excellent child and i love you even more for that. God couldn't have given us a better child, for that we are truly thankful and feel very blessed.

When it comes to being a mother, there are no trophies handed out for changing the most poopy diapers or getting peed on the most, but you, little bubba, when you crawl up to me and wrap your little arms around my neck and look into my eyes, that.... surpasses any trophy i could ever recieve. It melts my heart into a puddle of mush everytime you stop what you are doing and come hug me. Thank you for letting me know I'm doing a good job.

Well little turkey butt, this has been one of the best years and it is all thanks to you. Thank you for bringing such joy to each day. For putting smiles on our faces and filling our hearts with joy and laughter. We are looking forward to see what type of little boy you are going to be. I have a feeling that you will be a silly, sweet, mellow boy with a slight wild side and a love for music and animals. We shall see, and love you just the way you are.

Mommy and Daddy love you very much.

Happy 1st birthday baby boy!!!
Love, Jayme

Starting over

This is going to change, and I've also decided to start scrap booking each month of his cute.adorable, silly, life.Precious memories need to be captured in pictures and in writing.

Well here's to pretty much a whole new blog!!

Happy readings :)
Love, Jayme

It's been awhile

Nathan is already 6 months old... almost 7 months. I can't believe how time flies by so fast. It truly seems like just yesterday I was pregnant with him. I can't imagine life with out the little guy. He brings such joy in to my life, and everyone else's life that he meets. He is always full of smiles and coo's.

He is growing up so fast. I noticed in a previous post that I was posting about his first tooth. Well now he is working on tooth number 3!!!!Yes, his 3rd tooth already. You can feel it and just barley see it.

He loves to eat.... ALL THE TIME!!!! I think his favorites right now are sweet potatoes and sometimes squash. He really isn't digging the green beans or peaches... they make him make some pretty crazy faces. Its rather cute... but I'm not going to be one of those moms that feeds her baby food that he doesn't like, just to get a kick out of it.

I will update more, when I'm feeling in more of a creative mood. Just not there yet :) Well the husby is home from work early, so I'm going to go spend some time with my boys.... ahhh... life is great :)
Love, Jayme

The boy is growing!!

He had his shots and he was still cranky after a few days. I read that that can be expected. Well turns out the little guy was getting his first tooth!!! The about a week and half later, what do you know. There is another tooth coming in. He is handling it very well.

He has also learned how to roll over. and let me tell you, he thinks it is the coolest thing ever. You can't lay him on his back now for more than a minute before he is rolling over. Kyle and I both got to witness the first roll from front to back. We were so happy for him. But now... I wish he hadn't learned it yet. He is so hard to get dressed now, or even change his diaper. I thought was hard with him kicking his legs and not wanting to straighten them out when we needed him to. This my friend, is a whole other story.

The little guy is growing up so fast. I can't believe is almost 5 months old already. Time has flown by so fast. I am so thankful that I can stay at home with him. I would hate to miss out on all of his " Firsts".

Love, Jayme
