As we all know Sacramento and Seattle are in a tooth and nail battle for the ability to call the Kings their team.

Seattle has been lobbying for a new club since Clay Bennett moved the SuperSonics to OKC to become the Thunder in 2008.

The Kings have been in their own battle for the past 3 years against their own owners and their numerous attempts
To move the team from Sacramento.

In 2008 the city, for lack of a better term, turned their back on the sonics, refusing to help fund a new arena after giving decent public subsidy to the Seahawks and Mariners for their new complexes. This after 41 years in the emerald city.

Sacramento, has been home to the kings for 29 seasons and while recently the support has been at an all time low due to the product on the court and what appears to be lack of dedication by ownership, the history suggests, when the owners have the trust the fans in Sacramento Are among the leagues elite.

The Maloofs have stooped to a new level of low this year. Coming to an agreement with the Hansen/Balmer group in Seattle to sell and relocate the kings
To Seattle. This after years of Insisting the team will not be for sale to all inquiring in Sacramento.

Bring in Mayor Kevin Johnson, the elected leader has taken the reigns and has positioned Sacramento to shock the world yet again in blocking the Kings move. This isn't his first rodeo in 2011 KJ BLOCKED the move to Anaheim by convincing the BOG (board of governors) that Sacramento was a viable market. In 2012, by coming to a handshake agreement with the Maloofs and the NBA on a new Sports and Entertainment facility , which was later backed out of by the Maloofs.

Now in 2013, in act three of this play Kevin Johnson has brought together 4 " Whale" investors to match the Seattle bid, again has an arena deal, a better one in fact from last year, and has the ability to lobby the BOG again.

At this point Sacramento has done all asked by the NBA, and there is logically no reason why the team should be moved, the most appropriate outcome at this time is for the kings to stay, the Maloofs to go away and for Seattle to get expansion.

The power is in the mind of the nba, and I have a feeling that the right thing we be done, and we will be calling the kings. OUR team for years to come.
