I'll Be Wearing a Burlap Sack!!

Ok maybe I stole this line from 50 Shades of Grey, but I thought it would

be fitting for today's project:) Which is a canvas art transformation

from glittered flowers to a unique burlap frame.

The canvas is 24 X 36 that I picked up from the Goodwill for $6.00.

You don't need anything fancy or a brand new canvas since you will be covering it.

This sack was a little smaller than the size of the frame so
I had to cut off the bottom and up the middle so it could
be stretched over the frame of the canvas.

Here is the fun part- the staple gun!

You will want to staple the sack to the frame and pull it tight.

You will need A LOT of staples!

I wanted this piece to look a little more like a piece
of art work than just a sack so I added furniture nails around
the frame to give it that industrial look. These are super
cheap and can be found at your local hardware store such as Lowe's or Home Depot.
I picked these up for $1.30/ 25pcs at Lowe's.

The finished products! I really like how they turned out and

it is a great fit for my gallery wall collection I am starting in our main hallway!

So let's talk numbers because you know when it comes to projects

it is always helpful to know how much you are going to spend!

I was able to make both frames for about $25.00 total.

This total includes the following supplies:

Canvas frames- Goodwill/ Garage Sale

Burlap Sacks - Antique store/ Garage Sale

Furniture Nails - Lowe's

Staple Gun

So now the next time you see an ugly piece of canvas art at the Goodwill

save it and make it into something fun!

Kid's Chalkboard Upcycle

Chalkboards of any kind are one my many

décor obsessions! I love how versatile they can be.

There was one I really wanted for my front porch at Hobby Lobby

but at $40 I couldn't bring myself to purchase it.

The other day I was dropping off some items at the Good Will and

came across this beauty! Now she doesn't look like much in

the picture below but she had good potential! This was a kid's chalkboard from Ikea. It had a shelf on it for your chalk but

I didn't really like how it looked so I removed it and used it for another project:) I will show that to you later!

Purchase Price: $4.95

Ok so now on to the fun part..... the finished project!

Currently being used to greet guests.

Below is a closer picture of how it turned out.

For Easter I kept it pretty simple and just added a

banner. See the possibilities are endless! I love a piece that I can

use for everyday and for every holiday!

So with a little spray paint to the frame and a re-coating

of chalkboard paint I was able to have my outdoor chalkboard

display for only $5.00! Don't you just love the Good Will ??? !!

Clothes Mentor Consignment Store Review

For all of you consignment store junkies out there, I have a new clothing consigment
store to visit! Clothes Mentor is a woman's clothing consigment store that buys and
sell gently used clothing. Sometimes you can even find items with
the tags still on it! What differentiates Clothes Mentor from rest of the pack is
that you can take your unwanted items in for cash on the spot! This is
probably my favorite feature of the store. I like to change up my closet on a regular
basis but I don't always have the cash to make it happen so with option I take
in unwanted items cash them in and get new pieces at great prices to update my wardrobe!

The store has a great lay out with each style of clothing being group together by
pants, skirts, short sleeved tops, etc and then by size and color. This makes
your shopping trip so much more pleasurable and can keep you on task. I know if helps me,
if I need a black short sleeved top I can go right to it.

Clothes Mentor offers a variety of sizes starting at 0 to 26. In addition to a
great selection of current styles they also have a very courteous and helpful staff.
From the time you walk into the store until you leave they are friendly and always
willing to help you with getting a dressing room, holding your items, and helping you find
your size! If you want to give them a try check out there website below to see if there
is a store in your area.

They have over 120 stores in 27 states and are looking to add 50 more in the
near future. I would have to say that currently this is my favorite consignment
store for clothing, shoes, and accessories! Before you plan your trip make sure to
check your own closet to see what may not be wearing, doesn't fit the way you
want or maybe you made and impulse purchase, this way you can use the
cash to put towards new purchases!

DIY Coffee Filter Wreath for Valentine's Day

It's hard to believe that this Saturday is Valentine's Day!

I usually don't decorate too much inside for V-Day but I

do like to put out a garden flag and I like to have something on

the door so when I saw one of my neighbors have this on her door it

inspired me to create one! She was so sweet and actually had me over

for a demonstration and wine. You can't go wrong with a little crafting and

wine. This is project is pretty simple and can be created in about an hour or less.

Here is a supplies list:

cardboard/foam board (Dollar Store)

100-150 Coffee Filters (Dollar Store)

A piece of ribbon (Had in my Stash)

Spray Paint (Had in my Stash)

Phillips Head Screw driver

Box Cutter Knife or Heavy Scissors

Pencil

Total Cost of this Project for me: $2.00

1. Take your foam board and draw a heart on it

2. Cut Out the heart

3. Take the screw driver and poke random wholes

all over the board- no pattern is really necessary

4. Take your coffee filters and bunch it up like you were putting

tissue paper in a bag.

5. Twist the end of the coffee filter into a tight tip so it

can be poked through the holes on the foam board

6. I would work from the tip of the hear up to the top

7. It should look like the picture below.

Now here's the fun part- SPRAY PAINT!

Pick any color that you would like to paint your heart.

It will take two coats.

On the back of the wreath hot glue your ribbon

so you can hang it on your door or for an inside decoration.

Not too bad for a $2.00 project that is fun to do with Friends!

New Creative Outlet: Painting Classes!

I have always appreciated someone who is artistic and can

just look a picture and draw or paint it!

In the last couple of months I have taken a couple of painting classes

at a local studio here in Georgia. By no means am I a painter!
However with the help of the teachers and their easy

to follow directions I have actually created some pretty pieces.

Today I wanted to share with you two of my recent projects

that I created at Bubble & Brushes Art Studio. They have a

great staff that is always so helpful and makes the evening classes so

much fun! If you ever get the chance to try a class like this make sure

you attend. You will have a great time and you will enjoy how relaxing the

experience really is!

The picture below is one that I actually did myself at home.

I need to work on my blending of colors but besides that I was pretty

happy with how it turned out.

So today's post is about tapping into your creative side!

I MISS BLOGGING!!

Well I guess the beauty of blogging is that you can stop
and start again! Kind of like all of those diets that we start the first of the year!

Life over the last six months has been very hectic and it didn't seem
like I had the time or energy to post or even to think about blogging!

Since the New Year I have noticed how much I miss the writing processs of the
blog and the fact that that I enjoy getting projects done! It seems like when I have a
list of things I want to get done I actually get things DONE!!

Now back to the projects!! Hope you will stop by again!

Brown Linen Dress & Curly Hair

Well I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Today's post will be short and sweet:)

I have recently purchased this dress for $12 at the

Red Door Consignment and though it would be the perfect

outfit for our Saturday date night:)

Since it is hot and humid at night I went with the

natural curly hair:) My hair stayed nice all night

without getting frizzy, thanks to Ouidad Hair Products :)

I paired this dress with a belt and a fun

pair of gladiator sandals!

Ouidad Curly Hair Product Review

Every girl wants the hair they can't have!

I know that statement is true for me.

My past visit to my hair dresser really opened my eyes

to my natural curly hair. I am usually a blow it dry

and straight iron kind of girl especially as the Summer heat approaches.

She made the comment to me about how pretty my natural curl

was and asked why I never where it like that. Well if you have curly

hair you know 9 times out 10 it get huge and frizzy, that is why I never really

wore it in it's natural state! I love curly hair but every time I would try to

"scrunch" it all it would do is make my hair feel crunchy :(

So she mentioned a product called Ouidad which has a complete

line designed for curly hair so you can embrace your natural curls!

I have to admit it did change my life in a way!!! Ok that might be a

bit of a stretch but it did change my morning routine and how long it takes

me to get ready! I can't get over how pretty my natural curls have become after

using this product and following the "Rake and Shake" styling method!

May Clothing Budget

Here we are at a brand new month! I just love Summer time!

This past weekend I spent much of my time outdoor working in the

yard and planting flowers! I am not sure what has gotten into

me recently but I love being out in the flower beds and working,

yes even pulling weeds!

Now onto May's Clothing Budget

Each week I put aside $20-$40 depending on what I am

looking to buy for the month to spend on clothing, shoes, and accessories.

By allowing myself this money out

of each check it makes feel good about the purchases I make and

usually helps me buy more pieces that I will use.

I don't always spend it all so I just roll it over to the next month and put

it towards a larger piece another month. For example I didn't spend the

full $160.00 so I am going to keep it for a rainy day shopping trip:)

Especially after looking at my closet and seeing all of the sandals

I currently own!! Yikes!

Here are the pieces I added to my closet in May:

I do tend to buy a lot of accessories each month

because they open up other possibilities in your closet!

I love this scarf. I am a little crazy for the color blue lately

I knew when I saw this shirt with all of its bright

Dressing Room Reveal

Let me just say that this poor room has had three transformations

since we moved in a year ago in July:) What can I say I like

change! It is kind of an odd room and really wasn't even supposed to

be a room, the couple we bought the house from decided to close in the space

instead of having a balcony because when they built the house their

children were small and they saw it as a safety hazard. It actually turned

out to be a cute room! Below are a couple pictures of this space when it

was my craft/scrapbook room. It really was a nice craft space but it did

feel a little cramped when I was working on a large project. I like to have

room to spread out and since we have another room in our house that

wasn't being used I moved all of this stuff into that space!

Before I show the pictures of the finished space I will start with

the furniture I have in there. I got this chest at a garage sale for $25

but it definitely needed some work but I thought it would work well for

a window seat in the dressing room along with extra storage!

I had a garage sale a couple of months ago and took all of the money I

made from that sale and bought this vanity. It did come with the mirror

and stool/seat. The knobs and the seat cushion were not to my liking

so I changed them out. This was one of my easier projects :)

Here is a before picture of the seat before I covered it. All I did

was purchase a yard of material from Hobby Lobby for 40% and then staple

it to the bottom of the seat and then re-attach the legs.

Now onto the fun stuff...............how the room looks now!

It is hard to take a whole picture of the space because of how

tiny it is. I believe it is 6 feet wide by 9 feet long to give you a better idea.

Here is nice picture of the recovered seat along with the new hardware.

Every space needs a little bit of fun decor!

Over in this corner is "Shirley" my mannequin which was probably

my favorite garage sale find ever! I got her from a lady that use to live close

to us in Pennsylvania and she was a steal for only $8!!!

I use her a lot whenI am coming up with outfit ideas because I can see how it looks the night

before and all I have to do is come in here in the morning and get ready to go!

On this wall I have a full length mirror.

As you come in the door to the right I have my jewelry display.

This was also a DIY project that I did to make this room function better

and keep my jewelry from being a tangled mess!!

Since the room is so small I tried to utilize every inch!

On the back of the door I have my scarves organized with a shoe organizer

and on the top of the over the door hanger I store my belts.

DIY Jewelry Display: Pegboard

Since we had an extra long weekend I was able

to get caught up on a couple of projects around the house.

One of them being my new jewelry display that I put together

using an old frame that I purchased from a garage sale and a

piece of peg board from Home Depot.

I am sorry I forgot to take a before picture of the frame. It actually

was a mirror to begin with but it was cracked so I just removed

the glass and kept the frame. The nice thing about the frame it was

a perfect measurement 2' X 4'! It worked out great because Home Depot

sells already cut pieces of peg board in this size.

Below is a picture of the peg board before I painted it.

I used an antique white paint that I had left over from another

project so it would show off my jewelry. You could really use whatever

color you like.

Here it is after the peg board has been attached to the

frame and painted. The frame was a bargain for only $5 at

a garage sale and I believe the peg board was between $6 and $8

dollars, so for less than $15 I know have an organized jewelry display

that is pretty and fits in well with my dressing room.

The finished project with all of my jewelry neatly hung and

easy to get to. It make getting ready in the morning so much more

enjoyable! It kind of feels like I am in a boutique:) I just walk over

and pick out what I want to wear and away I go. Not to mention at the

end of the day I can easily put away my jewelry instead of letting it sit

on my night stand until I have a tangled mess!

Ahhh the things you can do with a little paint and

a piece of peg board :)

Happy Memorial Day!

I hope you are enjoying the long weekend with family and friends!

Yesterday we had a cookout to celebrate with friends and neighbors

so I thought I would share with you what I wore and what

I took for a dessert for the party.

I decided to go with my navy blue dress since it was a light material

and comfy since it was about 90 degrees here! I wasn't sure if I would like this

dress when I first bought it because of the side cut outs but it actually is a really

pretty feature of the dress and doesn't expose too much skin which I like:)

I paired it with my new anchor necklace, red and gold earrings, and a nude

pair of sandals. I really love the navy and nude color combo, such a classic!

Now onto the fun part................ DESSERT!!

Kraft Wave Your Flag "Cake" Recipe

Below is how my cake turned out. Super easy and so

yummy and you can make it healthy! This is my kind of recipe!

In the picture below you see the jello cake before you add the cool whip.

The fresh fruit and jello really give it a light feel that is perfect for a Summer time dessert!

So it might be a little late for Memorial Day but we still have

Flag Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day coming up so this might be one

you want to try! Not to mention you could top the cool whip with fresh fruit and

not do a patriotic theme.

Memorial Day Outfit: Part 2

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

We have finally made it, the official kick off to Summer!

I don't know about you but I am so excited, I love this time of year.

So today's post is another Memorial Day themed outfit but really just a casual

weekend look. I love this t-shirt and I have to admit I am a little obsessed with

the nautical themed prints and accessories:) Actually yesterday my hubby bought me a

cute anchor pendant necklace when we were on a date:) Love him!

The shirt I have on below was one of my best consignment store finds yet!

It still had the tags on it and was originally $39 but I got it for $10.00.

This might just be my favorite!

This clutch was a great find at Kohl's last year and

was 80% off along with my additional 30%, I think I made like $4 bucks

for it:) The anchor bracelet was another great find from Plato's closet for

$4 dollars as well and the bangles I already owned but thought they

worked well together.

Memorial Day Outfit Ideas: Part 1

TGIF!!! Well we've officially made it

to Friday and it is a holiday weekend!

Woo hoo, come on 3-day weekend!

Well I hope you have something

fun planned for this weekend or at least

a little R & R! Today I wanted to share with you

a Memorial Day themed outfit that maybe doesn't

scream flags and fireworks:)

So I went with red shorts and blue and white
polka dot shirt with gold accessories.
I actually wore this to work yesterday but
would be a great choice for a weekend party.
I always thought that these red shorts were a little
loud but paired with a fun top they are almost
as staple as white shorts but with a little flair!

Outfit Inspiration: Jennifer Aniston

Well first of all I love Jennifer Aniston's street style. She always

looks so put together even in flip flops and a tank!

I love her hair in this picture as well. Just a nice clean

casual weekend outfit.

So over the weekend I was at a garage
sale in my neighbor hood and picked up this LOFT 3/4 length
shirt for only $1.00 woo hoo! I started to look on Pinterest
and came upon the picture above and thought that this shirt
would be a close alternative for work to this outfit. Since I can dress
casual for work, shorts are allowed :)

The lighting in our office isn't fantastic so sorry if the picture

isn't the best. You still get a good idea of how the outfit came together.

This will definitely be worn again for a casual look on the weekend as well!

So the next time you are out shopping come home and see what

outfits you can create by looking to other for inspiration.

I always say I am a good duplicator not always the best

originator!

Patio Re-Vamp!

Since we moved in last July I have been wanting to do something

with our outdoor patio space. However when you are moving in the middle of the

Summer the last thing you really have time for is a patio project!!! So over the

last couple of months I have been researching different ideas and have

found myself on Pinterest most nights! Hey I know you are there too:)

Below is a before picture of the space.

Pretty sad.............a table, chairs and a grill. But hey it

worked for the time being. I love being outside and could eat every meal out there

so I wanted to make the space a little more private and comfy.

So here are a couple of after pics!

I love the new feel of the area and now we have plenty of space to entertain.

The gazebo was our biggest purchase but couldn't be happier with it!

It offers the shade you need for that Georgia Sun and also allows us to

be out there in the rain if we want to be.

Please don't mind our grass we are in the process of bringing it back to life!

Now the table is a nice story! My neighbors were having a garage

sale and when I went over to look at it I thought it might be too big

for the space so and it didn't have any chairs to go with it so I told them I

should hold off for now! Well when I came back from running errands there

it sat on my patio! They just gave it to us and told us to enjoy it:)

How nice! The other funny part of the story is that the umbrella

came from our other's neighbor's house! They had just got a new tiltable

one for their back patio and didn't have a use for it so I was quick to say

that I would take it off of their hands!

Total Score!!! The umbrella matches the other patio furniture perfectly!

The chairs were my big splurge on this set. I bought them on Amazon

but got FREE shipping on the order and they were literally the easiest thing I have

ever put together! Four bolts and that was it!!

Below is the patio furniture we also purchased this year. We got the

complete set at Sam's Club. I really loved the color and the quality!

The chairs are so comfy and they swivel!

Here are a couple pics of my potted flowers. I would love to do
more but I am holding off to see how these do first.

Below are a couple of pics of the patio table and chairs before I

spray painted them:) The color of the table was pretty it just didn't match as well with

the gazebo so I thought a little spray paint would do the trick.

Well I am happy to say this new and improved

space has been such a great investment to our home. We

love coming home after work and just sitting out there. Not to mention my

favorite is on the weekends when I take my coffee and IPad and head out there

to catch up on all of my blogs :)

Baking Bridal Shower Favor

Today's post is featuring a baking bridal shower favor idea.

I recently hosted my best friend's bridal shower and the theme

we went with was a "Recipe for a Happy Marriage" / "Love is Sweet"

since she is a pastry chef and loves anything to do with baking and cupcakes!

I spent a lot of time looking on Pinterest, Etsy, and other wedding favor

sites looking for favor ideas that wouldn't break the bank!

I didn't really find anything under $3.00-$4.00 a person plus shipping so

when I was at the Dollar Store one day picking up a few items

I found these small bags of cookie mix and thought how cute would

that be as a favor! So I bought the store out of all they had and made sure

I got a nice variety for the shower.

So at each table there were

(2) Chocolate Chip

(2) Sugar Cookie

(2) Peanut Butter

The mixes were a great idea but it just kind of looked too

simple so I got back online and found these adorable mini whisks

at Factory Direct Craft for only $0.89 each!

The whisks are adorable but really didn't have a function so when

I was at Hobby Lobby I noticed key chain hooks in the jewelry department

and the light bulb came on! I could turn the mini whisks into key chains

and attach them to the cookie mixes that way!

I think they turned out really cute for only about $2.00 per person

and it was something each person would use!

Sometimes we just have to get creative when we are on a budget!
I think that this kind of project could be used for me than

just a bridal shower favor! Below is a list of couple

Inexpensive Centerpiece for your next Event!!

Now I should start with an apology for being MIA for a little while!

Well I do have good reasons and I should have lots to blog about which is the good news:)

I have been working on my best friends bridal shower which is several states away, a back yard update not to mention center pieces for a birthday party!!

Which leads me into today's post!

I was asked to create center pieces for an outside 40th birthday party for

a good friend of ours!

Since I was traveling the weekend of the party I needed to find a flower that

could last for a couple of days.

Here is what I came up with:)

I got most of the items at the Dollar Store, Michael's, and Publix.

Total cost for the arrangement below is about $18

I had clear vase already, well actually I had 4 :)

For the party I made 4 sets of flower arrangements and 4 sets of

Wine glass trios.

Now here is what I did!

The wine glasses are from the Dollar Tree- $1 each

The candles are also from the Dollar Tree- $1 each

Hydrangeas and baby breath from Publix (local grocery store) $3 each

To add a little flair to the candles since they were plain I just tied twine around

them to give them that shabby chic feel. The corks just act as a filler when the glass

is turned upside down. I think it really adds a sense of elegance. The clear vase

was wrapped with a burlap and lace ribbon once again to get that shabby

feel to it!

So if you are looking for a simple but elegant center piece for you wedding, bridal shower,

or next event play around with some inexpensive pieces and glam the up!

Getting More Life out of your Dresses!

Today's post is about making the most out of what you already have!

When I purchase a new piece I try to think about how many seasons I

can get out of it, especially when it comes to dress!

The dress below was purchased during the Spring Season a year

or so ago but I am still wearing it in Winter:)

With the addition of boots and leggings/stockings I have

been able to get more life out of it. In the outfit

below I have just added a fun printed scarf which allows

me to wear either brown or black boots!

So look through your closet today and see what

pieces show potential for more life!

Calming the Morning Closet Chaos!

Well we've officially made it!

It's the FREAKIN WEEKEND :)

Happy Saturday to You!

Today I wanted to share with you one of things I do

during the week to help with the chaos that comes with mornings!

You know what I am talking about!

There are really two things that help me stay on schedule

and get out the door without being late and wearing mix matched shoes:)

I pack our lunches and snacks the night before and try to make

a couple things ahead for the week.

I take a little time Sunday evening and I usually check the weather

to see how cold/hot it is going to and see if we are expecting and rain.

This way I can plan accordingly and lay out 5 outfits for the upcoming week.

I usually tag them with the days of the week but sometime events change and

I won't wear that outfit on that day but this way I have options.

I also use them in my closet as clothing dividers.

I think this really helps my stay on task in the morning

and keeps me from staring at the closet thinking I have nothing to wear!

For the Love of Green Pants

So one of my newest loves is colored pants!

However I do have trouble finding a color that looks good on my

body type. That is why when I found these green skinny jeans

at Old Navy I was so excited!

Below is an outfit I put together and wore out

shopping over the weekend. Since we are not into Spring

yet I decided to pair them with a pair of boots.

I love the green purse, probably one of my favorite purchases

of all time :)

So now I have the following colored pants:

Green

Blue

Red

White

So do you wear colored pants and if so what is your favorite?

I think by adding some colored bottoms it gives you so many more

mixable pieces to your current wardrobe!

Sweater Weather!

Well I don't know about you but I am ready for Spring!

However for the mean time I am trying to stay positive and add

some color to Winter's Sweater Weather!

Here are a few colorful options for late winter!

Below is probably my favorite! I love orange and brown and

with the contrast of the print with the strips it just gives it

that added flair.

This is your standard preppy look but I love the pink

pop of color!

Last but not least we have polka dots! I think every

closet should contain this fun pattern!

So if you have the winter blues trying looking through

your closet for some colorful options to

brighten your day!

Consignment Store Shopping!

Well this past weekend I ventured out to a couple of new

consignment stores with neighbor and really got some great deals!

By now you can tell I hate to pay full price for anything, ESPECIALLY

clothing! One of my favorite stores we went to was the Red Door Consignment shop

here in Tyrone, GA. They had a great variety of household items, clothing, shoes, and

accessories but the best part was there pricing!

Listed below are some of my favorite pieces that I got. So here's the scoop

on what I got for my money. I spent $83 and got 12 pieces of clothing!!

Woo hoo yes, 12! Not to mention 4 of them still had the tags on them!

Starting with this cute and fun T-shirt!

The tanks were still on it! Total Score!

It just screams SUMMER :)

Next up was another piece that still had the

tags on it! It is such a cute sun dress!

Now below is one of my favorite pieces I got this weekend!

It is a green and black tweed jacket by JCREW, perfect for late winter/early

Spring! The best part about this jacket is that I picked it up for $1.00!

Another nice Spring/Summer top. I am not sure

why but I am really loving the color yellow right now!

It is such a "happy" color!

I am so excited about the top in the below picture!

The outfit possibilities are endless with this one :)

Just a couple more finds from this weekend :)

deal or want to update your current wardrobe but don't

want to spend a fortune look around at your local consignment stores!

You never know what you might find! I think I just

Craft/Office Space Small but Mighty!

So for today's post I would like to take you on a very quick tour

of my new office/craft area. Since moving into our new home I have had this

space in two different rooms:) As much as I love to craft and scrapbook it seems

like I don't have as much time for it and I am also enjoying other hobbies. So with

saying that I realized that since I had all of my supplies in a much larger room I spent

half of my crafting time running around the room to gather what I needed. Now since the

space is A LOT smaller everything is in an arms length and I only keep and or buy

what I need for my upcoming projects. In the past I would just buy things because

they were a good deal and would never get around to using them! Since I don't have

the space I don't buy :) Problem Solved!

The picture below is the entry way to my new room. I love

the book page wreath I made this past year at Christmas time and thought

this might be the perfect place to put it on display!

Now as you come into the room you will see on the right hand side I have

an Ikea Expedit unit, which is key for keeping everything organized in

such a small space! I believe this room only measure about 6 X 9 so that will give

a better understanding of what I am working with:)

One of my favorite features of this room is the big window in the back of the room,

it lets in so much natural light and makes you feel good when you are working in

the space!

On the left side of the wall is my desk unit. This unit works out well

since it doubles as extra storage with the shelving and that you can store

items on top. The only down side is that it doesn't really allow you to spend out

on a huge work surface. I have noticed since I don't have a large surface to spread

out on that I do stay a little more focused on the project at hand :)

That is saying a lot for me!! So I guess there is good and bad with both but

you just need to see what works for you!

I'll go back to the Expedit unit for a minute and give you a better

idea of what I store here:

Now besides the big wall unit I have a rolling filing system

that I got years ago at a garage sale for $7 that holds all of

Scrap paper. This system seems to work well for me because

I have each section labeled and when I need a certain color or patter

for a project I can go right to it.

The Classic Black Dress-Stylized!

Well like many women I love the idea of the classic

black dress. I think it one of those pieces that will never go out

of style. So with that being said I looked through my closet because

I knew I had more than one black dress but I decided on this one since

it fit so nice an was more on the plain side. Now when I say plain

that is a good thing:) The simpler the black dress the more wear you will get out of it!

I actually purchased this dress from Target a little while back due to how

simple and affordable it was!

Now in the below pictures I show a couple of different blazers and cardigans

that would work well for your everyday office look.

Above look I think would be fun for Fall.

Now just by changing out different colored scarves and

blazers you are able to create a completely different look!

Below is a more casual option for a lunch date with girlfriends or

out for some weekend shopping. Especially if the weather is a little

cooler the cardigan will keep your arms covered.

The next look in the picture below is showing the dress

with a sweater layered over top. Since most little black dresses are fitted on the top

layering is very achievable.

Lastly is just another cardigan but with a pop of color

and a statement necklace. I love this green!

So pull out that little black dress and put it to good use this week!
