After months of plotting and planning, the day has finally arrived - tonight I make my toast mistress debut and host the Ultimate Dinner Party that I meticulously stylized. Now that it's finally here it all seems so surreal - as though I've entered a Mrs. utopia where everything is fantastically ideal. Not only that, but I've brought Mr. Lilien along for the ride - its going to be brilliantly fun having him there by my side! We've spent the past few months enthusiastically expounding - making for a fun filled buildup to a night that's sure to be astounding! We've exchanged hilarities and wondered about this and that - our on-going banter is usually a pretty amusing chat! Tonight will be no different I assume - humoring one another as we primp + groom - exchanging playful banter to our signature tune. No doubt he'll remark on his radiant complexion - to which I'll remind him to thank me for sharing the IOMA skin collection. I must say, we both benefited from the line's magical skin correction! From the crystal, to the food, the invitations and decor - the baubles, the venue and so much more - has made me feel like a heiress in a money store! Here's to a night that is sure to go down in Mrs. Lilien history - a once in a lifetime MRS VICTORY!

Annnnnd I'm off! The time has come for me to flock to NYC! I'll be holding court for the next few days - fulfilling my hostessing duties for a most magnificent dinner soiree. I will indeed be keeping you all abreast - I'll be updating the blog, twitter, facebook and instagram with juicy details from this fabulous fete. There will be plenty to share upon my return - and as always, I promise to cover all areas of curious concern. Intergalactic Plan-WHIT-tary

Well doesn't this just send you to space?! A most fabulous fall collection from WHIT-NY that beams with galactic grace! I was so taken aback by her space-inspired fall collection - its intuitive, playful and teeming with perfection. Not only is WHITney a razor sharp fashion talent - she's also a ferociously fabulous gal, one hundred n' ten percent! I had the utmost pleasure of chatting with this martian-loving fashion maven - I got us the scoop on her sci-fi inspired fall creations! What did I consider the pièce de résistance...? Why, the video [above] she + her hubby made with a gaggle of fashionista astronauts!! I tossed her some Mrs. questions to field - and this my friends is what she revealed:

"Whitney dearest, do tell... what is it about outer space that makes your heart race?"

[WHIT] : I love the mystery of space and all that is possibly happening out there. For this collection I was interested in pop culture where fantasy meets science, especially in the campy period before the moon landing. My husband loves sci-fi, so this was a really fun subject for us to work on together.

"This fall collection of yours is rather fantasmical, can you reveal which piece you find most magical?"

[WHIT] : I am obsessed with the wool metallics, especially, the copper stargazer coat. I feel like I am going to wear that to every party this fall. It reminds me of of the movie The Forbidden Planet.

"Your fashion point of view is always so spectacularly specific. What would you say is the common thread that keeps your collections synergistic?"

[WHIT] : What subject matter I am currently interested in is always changing, but my core aesthetic remains pretty consistent. There are certain concepts and reference points that keep me coming back to certain shapes, bold prints, bright colors and often, with a dash of Mod. Those elements will always be part of the DNA.

"My jump off question, if I may... you recently joined the Mrs. Club... tell me darling, what is it about being a MRS that you really love?"

[WHIT] : My husband Parker and I have been together for 10 years. It is refreshing for us to be newlyweds right now. Our wedding was a blast, we loved celebrating that with our friends and family. Being married is our new adventure!

No one says you have to have a yacht to sail the cocktail sea - in fact, with the proper accoutrement you won't know the diff, I guarantee! There's nothing like a good yachtail on a balmy afternoon - something fresh, bubbly + easy to consume. Of course dressing the part only makes the drink taste even better - so it's best to bedeck in nautical attire to up your yachting pleasure. So... if your yachts "in the shop" - just set sail with a yachtail and come out on top!

Last week, I had a burning question that I was dying to know - I asked and you answered with such delightful gusto! My question being : "With what do you feed your delighted tongue when the fun is all done?! I'm dying to know what your desirous hand reaches for - what your darkest hankering deepens for - the nosh you gravitate towards that you needn't reasons for." Your answers were stealth and wildly on point - Profoundly inspired, I took to my kitchen with intent to not disappoint!

So friends, here lies the ultimate spirit cleansing snack - meet the Mrs. Taquito Nachos Especial, and give her a whirl after your next boozy bash! She's rather simple to assemble - with most ingredients being pantry/freezer fundamental. There's no doubt she'll cleanse those spirits right out - and hopefully ease the next day's hangover bout.

Behold my latest bauble obsession: The Double Cuff - a coupled accoutrement in which I have a serious crush. This statement set can easily serve as any ensemble's crescendo - and what's not to love about the 'love-cuff' innuendo?! A double cuff boasts superheroine poise - while eliminating the "which wrist?" choice. There's just something to be said about the power of two - strength in numbers is always true! Needless to say I'm on a mad hunt - I absolutely must have a double cuff!!

Dinner Party Priorities

While there are many important aspects involved in planning a serious dinner party - everyone knows that the table and the hostess are at the tippy top of the hierarchy. So, for this Ultimate Dinner Party that I'm hosting with Town & Country - nary a detail has been overlooked to ensure both table and toastmistress ooze perfect pageantry. I've had the utmost pleasure of coordinating a rather elite mise-en-scène with the masterly folks from FCI catering and events. Thanks to their stealth creativity we've been able to curate an evening fit for queens and presidents!

Our table is to be sprinkled with all sorts of decadent stationery - which of course will come from none other than Mrs. John L Strong, whose work is legendary. She'll be pulling out all the stops for this said dinner soiree - providing glittering paper accoutrement that will dance upon display.

No table is truly complete sans a heaping gaggle of couture crystal - which is a cardinal component to upping the table's twinkle. We turned to William Yeoward Crystal for our table's crystal quotient. They opened up their entire collection which yielded quite the baller moment! That being said, this table of mine is sure to dazzle - like a glittering princess castle!

Spirited guests needn't be left devoid of cocktail time treats - why, they need substance prior to taking their dinner seats! The fine mini morsels that will grace the mouths of guests - hail from the fertile felids of Virginia and are known as MV's Best. There's nothing quite like a tasty nut - to satisfy a carousing taste bud.

Now, let's move on to the ever-important hostess, shall we? This might be my favorite part because, well, that's me! I'm a staunch believer that the hostess's ensemble ought to mirror her planned affair - she must look polished, pristine and as if she pulled it together without a care.

The amalgamation of her hostesses costumery is a moment of crowning glory - the frock, the baubles, the face, the hair, they all tell a most marvelous story. Her baubles must bling - stop conversations and make guests sing. She who dons the giant Carelle bauble - most certainly is the Mrs. unstoppable.

Beyond the blinding of the bling - must come the blinding of another thing - her hostess's glowing complexion is everything. The skin's semblance should light up a room - like a beacon in the night, like the light of the moon. With a daily dedication to complexion correction - and a little boost from Ioma, you'll indeed establish complexion perfection!

As mentioned above there are endless layers of a hosting a dinner party with which to obsess. However if the table and the hostess are on point, the evening is sure to be a major success!

I recently took myself scent shopping - who was I to not have a signature scent?! Why that's just shock-n'-awe-jaw-dropping!! After acquainting myself with the various noses of fragrance - I knew I wanted something floral, fruity + vivacious. Whilst on my quest for something fabulously floruity - I was intoxicated by various scents that were sexy, fresh + super moody! I thought I'd break down my favorites from the common-ish categories - these particular scents stuck out as reigning their respective territories. Should you be a lover of fresh marine scents or partial to all things spicy - I've curated my top selections and they're all pretty darn nicey!! I won't leave you hanging, I'll satisfy your burning question - I ended up taking home Chloe... it's my newest signature scent obsession!

Have you ever sat and pondered what your ULTIMATE DINNER PARTY might look like?! What you'd serve, what you'd wear, and who you'd invite?! What if this ultimate dinner party had no limitations - the culinary team at FCI Catering + Events curating a menu befitting your wildest aspirations - a group of set designers orchestrating the decorations - and had none other than Mrs. John L Strong offer to print the menus, place cards and invitations???!!! If your head is about to explode and on the verge of spinning - your eyes bulging from your head and your mouth foaming while grinning - well then you're experiencing my same reaction and no, I'm not kidding! Town & Country Magazine felt like shaking things up a bit - they wanted an intimate dinner soiree oozing with elevated charm + fabulous wit - they passed me the baton and I was pretty giddy, I'll admit! What has transpired over the last two months has been nothing short of spiritual - together we've fashioned an affair so otherworldly it's nearly unimaginable!

With the event set for the 24th of May - I've but a few measly weeks until the big glittering day. While the pivotal components have already been appointed - I still have time to "OCD" over the details and cast the die on what has been avoided. You'll want to stay tuned as I'll be posting periodic updates - such as my hostess gown, the uber-guestlist, and hosting tips, as the magical night awaits. I'm utterly thrilled to have this opportunity and have the privilege to share it - I promise to dish on all the juicy drippings... by golly, I swear it!!
