Bus Safety
Lesson: Cross in front of the bus safely and obey the bus driver at all times.

How do glue sticks help us learn? How do we use them properly? How do we take care of them? The kids will meet "Gary the Gluestick" to help them understand how important it is to To apply what they learn, the kiddos will glue small pieces of paper to an apple shape.

Introduction to Nouns (Very, very basic lesson!)

KinderMath
We begin our math curriculum today. Please read the overview in this photo for detailed info as to the 'why' we use this kind of math.

The first unit is Numbers 0-5
See the photo below to see lesson 1 overview. Some lessons include the targeted math skill literature as well. Today's lesson: Numbers 1, 2, 3

Each day we will work with calendar activities on the SmartTV. For now, our focus is learning the routine for it. Eventually, the children will be involved through the use of their 'laptop' binder pages that align with the calendar slides on the SmartTV.
Bus Safety
Lesson: I stay seated when riding the bus.

The kids will have STEAM class with Mr. Brown from 1:10-1:40.

Again, our class will be split for PE & music.
(Last names A-K will have music, L-Z have PE.)

Irish Pride
We continue to learn lots of way to show good character in school such as walking quietly in the hall, playground rules, and bathroom etiquette. Learning routines and procedures are a big part of their day. Young children thrive on predictability and repetition so taking it slow is the key to success!

**WAHOO...Our first day as a whole kinderfamily!**

Irish Pride
We are learning about how to walk quietly in the hall and what the playground rules are.
Assume nothing, teach everything!

How will crayons help us learn? How do we use them? How do we take care of them? We are learning about *All-Star* Coloring:

~Color in the lines.

~Fill in the white spaces.

~Colors that make sense.

Mrs. Marsicek, our school Social Worker, Officer Coon our School Resource Officer, Mrs. Jerman our school Resource Teacher, and Mrs. Reedy will be coming to talk to the children about being respectful, responsible, and safe at school. Take a look at the slideshow they will use.

Today, we will revisit the cafeteria expectations with Don't Be a Lunch Monster.
Cafeteria Expectations
~Walk in the cafeteria.
~Eat first, talk last.
~Be sure to keep your food and hands to yourself.
~Clean up after yourself.
~Stay seated at the lunch table until an adult tells you to empty your tray.

Again, our class will be split for PE & music.
(Last names A-K will have PE, L-Z have music.)

Please view the story Our Class is a Family that your child will hear today. I believe it is one of the best stories that explains how we are a family at school. At the conclusion of the story, the kids will be making a bracelet that shows each one of us is an important member of this family!
