I'm still here.....

WOW! Talk about forgotten blogs...this is one.
Especially since the last post was when Jake was born and now he is about to turn 2 in 26 more days! lol

And my step-son got proof that he has a 3 year old son whose birthday was just last weekend...so now we have 2 grand-boys... :)
And my step daughter is due in June with a girl, and my step-son and his fiancee also found out they are expecting now too! What a busy few months we have had.
Wishing them lots of luck!
Check out my other blog for great free kit and more links to other goodies!

Welcome to my baby boy grandson!

Jake Destin Hicks made it here on May 28th, 2010 at 1:44 p.m. and weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz.

He is soooo pretty! Squeezed on him for three days straight...then squeezed on him again yesterday!
He and his momie are doing great!
Hugs,
Claudette

On the seventh day He rested...

2010-04-11T08:45:00.000-07:00

I am following in His footsteps today. My week has been busy and I woke up this morning very sore. When I over-do-it, I pay for it in body aches. But it will be ok...just gotta keep going and not let it get the better of me. Fibromyalgia is not fun, and since stress makes it worse, all it takes is one good stressful day to ruin me for several days and nights. Then I am grumpy and sore, and all I wanna do is sleep! lol
But enough of that. I talked to my daughter yesterday and she is doing great. She seems to be keeping her vitamins down and is fussing because she found some stretch marks...lol I told her that just comes with the "mom" title...lol She seems happy. Although she was upset that some of her friends don't want to hang out with her because she can't drink and carry on with them right now...I told her that is how it goes when you grow up and your friends haven't yet. You move on and make more friends with the same interests as you. They will eventually grow up and they will come back around. We finally set a date and location for the baby shower. We scheduled it on her birthday..lol Both ultrasounds show a boy, so we are gearing up for boy stuff...she has a boy name ready for his arrival...lol Destin Jake should show up around May 28th of 2010....can't wait to see him!
We went to the park for a photo shoot for the magazine covers yesterday and I got some GREAT pics of my kids and hubby...can't wait to scrap them.
Gotta run and get my hot soaking bath overwith so I can move today!
Big hugs,
Claudette

Yeeeeoooowwww! I am way behind on this blog...

2010-03-10T05:06:00.000-08:00

I haven't posted since April and I have been so busy it is sad really. I started a new job in June and my hopes of a great summer to get caught up on things went right down the drain. So now I am looking for a new job, with decent pay and something that is using my degree instead of spinning my wheels to get no where...
Please keep me in your prayers for that to happen. The kids are all doing great so far this year. Austin is pregnant and is due in May...our first grandbaby! Can't wait to squeeze him! lol
She is soooo cute pregnant! She looks like she swallowed a basketball! lol Still tiny and thin with a belly! gotta love it!
Well, I have to run for now!
Hugs~

Now, to get busy...

2009-04-22T07:57:00.000-07:00

I am still eagerly awaitng summer so I can get a few things done, both on here and at home...but I love looking at the blog now that I have re-vamped it...lol
We are all really busy now preparing for the TAKS testing next week...hopefully they will all pass them so they will all be promoted to the next grade...that is a lot of weight on one test...keep them in your prayers.
Yes, Hummie, we all get overwhelmed at some point...and I know that God never gives me more than I can handle, but I am feeling like hercules these days...lol I also know that as he closes one window he opens another, so I am waiting for our next window of opportunity to pop open...lol
Please keep us in all your prayers, I don't want to elaborate but we have a serious need for prayer these days.
Well, I guess I will get busy and get back to work.
Hugs~

How about a new look?

2009-03-29T13:21:00.000-07:00

I am here….again…

2009-01-18T10:41:00.001-08:00

Maybe one day I will be able to get back to this site and update its looks, I am learning to write CSS…it isn’t very easy…plus I have toooooo many irons in the fire this week. I really would like to call in sick for about a month and stay home and work on my own stuff! lol Yes, I am just a little bit selfish lately. I think it is because I am so tired. Well anyhow, I will stop back by tomorrow and say Hi, so leave me some love!

Hugs,

Claudette

Wow, this blog looks awful!

2009-01-14T09:05:00.000-08:00

And it has been so neglected...I am attempting to learn to write CSS better so I will update it when I do...lol I sort of understand it, but with everything else going on, by the time I get back to it I have forgotten what I learned..lol
So I will run for now,
Love and friendship,
Claudette

Family trips are fun...

2008-08-02T14:23:00.000-07:00

We just recently took a 2.5 hour trip to see my aunt and uncle and we had a blast. The kids all got sunburned from swimming all day long, but we had a blast. We saw so many of my family members that I hadn't seen in about 18 years! (yeah that is ridiculous) But it seems that my home family has taken over my life and left me no time to enjoy the rest of my family or even my friends it seems. Which really has saddened me, but that is another story for another day. I don't feel like being depressed today. lol
It is about 100 degrees here again today...my yard is beginning to die in little patches all around it. And I have 4 plants that need to be put in the ground but it is just tooooo dang hot to get out there and cook over. Then I will have to water them every day or they will die due to the heat and we are soooo close to a drought here. I keep waiting to hear them say we are in a burn ban, but they haven't officially called for one yet.
Well, I gotta run for now,
Hugs,
Claudette

New blog look?

2008-06-18T20:42:00.000-07:00

I am trying to learn how to make blog templates...I re-did this one since I don't have too much on it...I was afraid to mess up the other one...you know one wrong click and you lose everything...lol
I am trying my hand at webdesign again too...I used to know how to build them but with today's technology changing, it is so much more time consuming than I remember...you have to make sure everything works in every browser and yadda yadda...so I am learning....lol
I also made a new blog to house all my family tree stuff...It is soooo much stuff and I keep trying to put it all somewhere so we can all see it and maybe that way I can get people to contribute and I might actually get somewhere...I guess we will see...lol
Hope you like the looks of this one...I still may expand this middle column a bit...what do you think?
Hugs for now,
Claudette

No time like the present...

2008-05-16T07:07:00.000-07:00

That's what my mom always says...lol
So here I am blogging....My hubby had his knee surgery yesterday and is doing ok...it is very painful though. But Dr. said he was able to fix it and it should be good after it heals all the way. I am so glad of that...it has been a year, 3months and 3 days since he wrecked and we are still not back to normal at our house. At this point I don't know what normal is...
My job is only lasting through the end of May so I am on a job hunt now...I can't go all summer with no income....praying that I find something I like and that I make good money at.
On another good note...I have lost 15 pounds so far...I started cutting back on sugar and fat on March 27th, 2008...and I haven't had a Dr. Pepper since then...I drank one Sprite and got a kidney infection so I just cut them all permanently from my diet...I feel a little bit better too. Now if I can find some time to walk and get some excercise I am sure I can lose even more.
I have been so busy with the magazine in the evening and school all day that I haven't had much free time lately. Plus when ever I get a free minute I am busy designing stuff to go in the store...my stuff in at myscrapshop.com under the name DigitalGator Designs...I am loving the magazine and the designer jobs though...even if they are time consuming for me.
My house will just have to wait til this weekend, I need to clean and get some stuff done so that when Alex and Ethan go to their dad's for the summer it will stay clean...Only 14 more days until Austin graduates from High School! Wow, that 18 years just seemed to fly by. Alex gets to graduate a year early...he has enough credits to so he is going to finish early and get started on his college...maybe he wil be a millionair some day and I can quit work and sit home and scrap all day...and blog about how rich he is...lol
Well, I better get busy...my break is almost over now...
Hugs,
Claudette

wow, I haven't blogged this year yet?

2008-01-20T09:21:00.000-08:00

I am falling behind...lol Not too much going on over this way...Anthony is still recovering from his surgery. Doc said that he is still off work for four more weeks. But so far so good...he still has pain from the metal plate aching when it is cold...and it has been cold here alot lately...lol
The kids are all doing good in school. Ryan has had a bunch of hole punches for not doing his work and minding....I think it is because he isn't to going outside enough with the crumby weather. That and he acts like his dad and his uncle Claude...lol
Austin is almost finished with her credits. All she had to do is pass the TAKS test in March or April and she will be ready to graduate.
I am not sure how TJ is doing...hopefully he is still on track to graduate on time too.
The three little kids went skating on January 5th for Amber's Birthday party and they had a blast. I will try to upload the video so you can see them skating and crashing...lol
Amber is Adam's daughter. Adam is my first cousin, Pam's son. Our kids go to school together.
And thats about all there is....
Hugs,
Claudette

2007-10-07T17:38:00.000-07:00

It is sunday night again....I hate Monday's very badly lately! I need a few days off by myself....
I am stressed out and tired. There hasn't been any me time around here for at least a year....but it feels like 10.
Maybe there will be a rest at some point.

Too depressed to really write...

2007-08-06T06:15:00.000-07:00

I have been in a funk for about a month now....not really doing to good. worry is another issue...plus my mom is going through a lot of un-neccesary bull due to the idiot she was going to marry. I am very glad he showed his true colors before she married him....so she is away from him but he will keep on bugging her because he is such a loser.
Anyway,
We only have 20 more days until school starts, I am looking for a job today too! Gotta find one very soon, but it needs to be a good one.
Wish me luck, and keep me in your prayers,
Claudette
