If your child is absent from school, the policy is that you send a note to school stating the reason your child missed school.  Please be specific about the reason.  In the note, please include your child's name, the teacher's name, the date or dates of the absence and the reason.  It is very important to the school to have the documentation on file to excuse a child from school when they are absent, so please send a note each time.  We will also accept notes from the doctor or dentist about an absence from school.  If we do not receive a note, we must mark the absence as unexcused.  After 7 unexcused absences, the matter will be referred to the school social worker.  Thank you for helping us.

Please come to Eastvalley’s Fall Book Fair during Conference week. Our Book Fair will be from Monday, October 24th to Thursday, October 27th. The hours will be Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. We will extend our hours Tuesday night from 3:30 to 7:00 PM. The Book Fair is one of the Media Center’s biggest fundraisers. Historically, Eastvalley receives an average of 45% of the total sales. The proceeds of the sale go to purchase new books, Accelerated Reading tests, and items to improve the Media Center. Your purchases make such a positive impact on the students and staff at Eastvalley! The Book Fair is a wonderful opportunity to purchase books for family, teachers and friends while supporting Eastvalley’s Media Center. Thank you for your support!

Here are a list of activities for each day:

Thursday, October 20th: 4th and 5th graders will have an assembly from the Cobb County Sheriff's Department.

Friday, October 21st: K-3 will have an assembly from Wellstart.

Monday, October 24th: Students can show their support of Red Ribbon Week by wearing red.

Tuesday, October 25th: Students may wear their pajamas to school.

Wednesday, October 26th: Students may wear a shirt or jersey that represents their favorite sports team.

Thursday, October 27th: Students may bring their favorite teddy bear or comfort item to school.

Friday, October 28th: Students may wear sneakers with their school spirit shirts.
