Service Pack 2 enthält als wichtigste Neuerung die Unterstützung von Apple Mac OS X. Weitere Neuerungen sind die Möglichkeit eine benutzerdefinierte Aktion auszuführen oder den Server über ein Kommandozeilenprogramm zu steuern.

Liebe Besucher und Mitglieder, wir wissen, dass es einen Ausfall gab und arbeiten schon seit Tagen mit Hochdruck daran. Durch die Einspielung eines Fehlerfixes im Betriebssystem ist es zu einem Ausfall verschiedener Dienste gekommen, wodurch dann eine Neuinstallation des gesamten Servers notwendig war. Wir haben den letzten Stand vor dem Ausfall vom 18.03.2012 bereits aus dem Backup zurückgespielt, aber leider haben wir noch Probleme mit PHP und einigen Berechtigungen für das Forum. Wir arbeiten mit dem Provider unter Hochdruck um das Forum so schnell wie möglich wieder Online zu bekommen. Bitte habt noch ein wenig Geduld.

Eine Testversion von DrivePool steht ebenfalls zum Download bereit.
Zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt wird beim Download aber noch immer die Beta 1.0.0.5870 angeboten.
Einen genauen Veröffentlichungstermin zur Final Release ist momentan nicht ersichtlich.

Der Drivepool ist eine Alternative zum DriveExtender unter WHS V1 und ermöglicht das Zusammenfassen mehrerer Datenträger zu einer großen virtuellen Festplatte. Zusätzlich können einzelne Freigaben dupliziert gespeichert werden.
Drivepool kann auf Windows Home Server 2011, Small Business Server 2011 und Storage Server 2008 R2 eingesetzt werden.
