I ran to the store to buy Aphogee products and a Chi curling iron after watching a girl on youtube that had a beautiful mane.  Her hair was beyond beautiful. She swore by Aphogee and her Chi Flat Iron, but when I used Aphogee and a Chi Flat Iron, some of my hair fell out.  I’m pretty confident that  the lady who flat ironed my hair used a temperature that was too high for me. Either way, I’ve never used aphogee or a chi ever since. But, what was the cause of  the lost? The Chi or Aphogee?

This incident occured a while ago when my hair was relaxed. Now that I’m natural, I’m not sure if I should give the Aphogee another try. So here I am on the web to learn of some other experiences.  I’m listening to what Crystal had to say in her Aphogee video, vlogger review. She said her hair was left dry after using the product…

I’m looking at the end result in this video and I’m not sure if I like the finish. Actually, I don’t like it at all.

Now I’m off looking at another Aphogee review at Pretty Natural Divas that’s saying that the Aphogee condition is “just, conditioner” and nothing amazing.

So will I continue use of my Aphogee? I’m leaning towards “no”. I hate to see my products go to waste after only using them one time. But, I think its for the best. I brought the product over a year ago and maybe two years ago so they are probably expired by now.

Isn’t Aphogee made for people with damaged hair? Luckily, my hair is in a healthy state right now, and that contributes to my “no” factor. I want to be very careful about the products I use, because I love my hair!

I’ve been looking back on some of the other natural girls and reading their previous blog writings. I came across venus’ one month anniversary of being a natural head and I can’t believe that I’ve approached my one month as well.

Dr. Miracles just hosted a re-launch event and most people want to know the Dr. Miracles really work. I’m having a hard time determining if it really works since my hair grows regularly. My hair is growing anyways, so how do I really know if its working or not?

For the most part, I don’t like the smell of Dr. Miracles Hot Gro Hair and Scalp Treatment. I usually use this treatment the day before I wash my hair so I won’t have to endure the smell. Apparently, Leslie doesn’t like the smell either, lol. Furthermore, I don’t like the burn feel. However, as time goes by, the burn feeling fades.  All in all,  if it promotes hair growth, I don’t mind using this product. I use it once a month or so.

I caught up with Chandra. She’s a good friend on fotki. Chandra has been all natural for 2 years and a few months. Her big chop or big cut was back in September 2009. Her hair has grown tremendously since then and its so healthy. I love it!

There are so many things that go into the care of our hair but the greatest success boils down to those two things. I’m also a huge believer in embracing your own hair texture. Patience and moisture can go a long way

I chose to post this picture of Chandra because it shows what patience and moisture can do. Ok, and I also have a thing for making my hair lay. Chandra has a nice lay going on, on the side. She’s labeled this picture as “Right side..comb”. Anything I can grab to make my hair lay is a plus. I’m off to amazon.com. I see some very nice Decorative Combs that you will see me pictured wearing in the future.

“Oh my” is my thought after applying products to my hair. My hairs are up and out, but I like my hair to lay…

A scarf to make it lay 

That’s when I decided to pull out my scarf.  I was thinking that it would do the trick. I was shocked to see the lay result after adding my pure silk mulberry scarf.

Am I sill stuck on my relaxed hair? Not really. I was really tired of the over processing thing, so there’s no looking back. I just have to find ways for my hair to look neat. Scarves seem to be my first remedy.

Its been about two and a half weeks since I cut my hair off. I’m happy to see that my curls… or better yet, waves are showing up rather well. I’m trying to visualize what my hair will look like when it grows in more.

I have a hunch that it will look similar to Nicole’s hair when it grows out. Nicole goes by licklems83 and authors Currently Obsessed with… I saw her featured on bglhonline.com and her hair photo brought back old memories. I can remember my hair looking like Nicole’s when I was a little girl, so I added her as a friend on fotki just to compare.

But who knows what my hair will turn out to be? I’m so curious. We shall see! Subscribe now.

I’ve decided to leave a bang during my big chop. So that’s what you see on top, a relaxed bang, rolled up and hair pinned in some sort of a swoop. My hair is very short and my waves are already defined. I like that… and so I got my sexy look on.

Sticking with what I know, I’m using products that I’ve been familiar with for years. However, I’m very open to new things. And I never hesitate to blog the products I like.

Here’s me in a short whole wig.  A girl in the beauty store helped me to pick this wig. I loved her recommendation. Here I had my short look again without cutting my hair.

I like this wig because I can style it with my fingers. I wore this particular piece to the gym since its short and stays out of the way.

I like half wigs too. They call for more maintenance than whole wigs. Here I’m wearing a long synthetic wig and its a half.  I usually get a nice amount of days to rock these synthetic type wigs before they get old and trashed. I maintained this particular wig with just water and a wig brush.

I’m wearing a whole wig in this photo. Its apart of my Unstoppable Collection. I love wigs. They are so easy. I love that I can just put it on and go.

I’m wearing this wig with a hat because it was cold outside. But most of all, I don’t like the crown of most whole wigs. They look too wiggy, lol. So I cover the crown when I feel like this. Whether it be a hat or even a scarf.
