I've been saying we needed something since we moved into our current place 3 months ago. So, I first was going to sew rectangles together like a quilt top. Here's all my rectangles:&lt;br /&gt;

Suey helped cut them out.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
But I didn't like how that was turning out. Too many bold patterns. So, I went with one big piece of fabric. John chose the fabric. It reminds him of somewhere warm (as we watch the snow fall outside!) Here's the finished piece:&lt;br /&gt;

It is a Selbuvotter mitten and is my second pair. I am going to be teaching these mittens in a class and thought it would be fun to knit along with the students. I started this mitten thinking I’d have one done before the class started. But now that I’m closing the fingers, I realize how huge the mitten is. I’m going frog it but don’t have heart to yet. I hate ripping out any amount of knitting, let alone a whole mitten.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
