Diane de Mesa releases sophomore acoustic covers album, "Heartstrings".

After releasing my originals CD in 2011, I'm now releasing my 2nd album now featuring my own renditions of my favorites, even the rarest love songs. I personally picked out these tracks that play a special part in my heart and rendering my own versions means a lot to me.

In this CD, I'm re-collaborating with the musicians I have worked with in my first originals album, "Fly Away". Kris Farrow did guitar arrangements for the tracks, "Later", "Bittersweet", "Saddest song I ever heard", and "Honestly". My mixing/recording engineer from my first album, Randall Sena of Certain Sparks Recording Studio, did the guitar arrangements this time for the tracks, "Only reminds me of you", "Why can't it be", "Don't go", "The art of letting go", "I don't want to fall", and "Wishing that". I'm also featuring few songs in this album that I have already published in youtube. Tracks like "Don't say goodbye" arranged by Andrew Garcia; "Hiding inside myself", and "I didn't know I was looking for love" arranged by Salvatore Manalo. This album also contains a bonus track, my acoustic original called "Magic" with the guitar arrangement of Gabor Szijarto. :)

Finished..."Fifty Shades of Grey"

So I finished reading this book.."Fifty shades of Grey". Hmm what can I say?

I never really read a book before, but by word of mouth I gave this book a try. The story is interesting at first, but then comes the sex...and too much sex. I forced myself to finish the book hoping that, from the hopeless romantic in me, the book will end on a good note, and somehow [spoiler] Christian Grey will just throw everything off and fall in love with Ana Steel...but maybe the author will save that for the finale on book 3! I know it's a fictional romance, but I also feel like it goes against my values and beliefs. I can forgive the poor writing and the annoying repetitive use of "inner goddess" in each and every page...but what gets me is the story. It just revolves around "sex slave" relationship, sexual addiction, domestic abuse, and it is such an insult to women. How could one fall in love with Christian Grey? Definitely not me, if I was Ana! Gahhh.. He's a psychopath and he's a jerk! I will not give Christian Grey any time of my day no matter how good-looking or rich he is! Ha!

Anyway, I'm probably still going to watch the "movie" version of this when it comes out because I'm curious about it. But no thanks to reading the next 2 installments.

Here's our cover of "DOES HE LOVE YOU" originally sung by Reba Mcentire and Linda Davis. Dana introduced this song to me, and first time I heard it, and I liked it! In this song, Dana is married to the man we both love and I'm the "other woman" here stealing his man, hehe..so listen. :)
