Ms.Opinionated Pittsburgh

I'm not really sure how I feel about our former First Lady's emails disclosure.
Just another reason for the haters to hate her. Somethings should be thought out before we send or delete an email, which reminds me to clean up my emails!

Born in The Wild

2015-03-03T16:31:00.000-08:00

Imagine giving birth in the wild with no doctors, or nurses? That is damn insane. What if something goes wrong? Who is responsible? This is just crazy! I love camping but really? Mother Nature has a whole new meaning I guess.

What is going on with America? Reality shows like Born In The Wild, Sex Box, Naked and Afraid? Is these the kinds of show TV producers think Americans want to watch. I guess so! What ever happened to decency and just plain common sense? Maybe its me. And what's a Sex Box the Red Box gone wild? I am scratching my head.

I'm back!!!

Okay let me start off by saying WTF SNL what were you thinking! I have to say I was shocked. And it takes a lot to shock me. Your skit went too far! This was so tasteless even for me. I just sat there shaking my head. I did not laugh. All I thought was the families of the victims of this these horrible terrorists. Think before you try to make a laugh.

I AM NUMBER FOUR IS A RIP-OFF

2011-03-03T21:01:00.000-08:00

It's my opinion that the movie I AM NUMBER IS A RIP-OFF OF KLYE XY a family channel series about a boy with super human powers who has to learn telekinesis, who has a guardian, but he is clone not an alien. They even a have a John Smith mentioned in season 2. However, what you don't know about I AM NUMBER FOUR– it’s my opinion I AM NUMBER FOUR IS a rip-off of an unnamed author who sent a manuscript off to a hundred literary agency and publishers in 2009. The unknown author may have been scammed into thinking they were sending their manuscript to a new publishing house instead of the con James Frey. Each plot is different but very similar. Frey's has nine aliens that are scattered around the world and being targeted one at a time. In the unnamed authors have six aliens that stay to together and are being hunted down by evil hybrid aliens. The bad aliens are described the same. The plot is different but the name of the main character, the town, the school. The background information about the female main character is the same, and both main characters wear an amulet signifying their families' legacy. I AM NUMBER FOUR IS written in a fifteen year old boy's point of view. The unnamed author's novel is in a seventeen year old girl's point of view. It’s a love story.

Some more thoughts to ponder: This novel was dedicated to the author's sons Jon and Mark...John and Mark are main characters, in "I Am Number Four.

In the manuscript, the Library of Congress has Sara is referenced to being a photographer... In theirs, she is a photographer too. Another rip off the Steeler banner. in "I am number four" John lifts it to find a secret door. In the unnamed author's manuscript, their alien main character lifts a wall tapestry revealing a secret door.

Same main female characters name, same town, and school name????? Not to mention a crystal, salt, the guardian. Is this a coincidence?

HIPAA

2011-02-11T21:16:00.000-08:00

The Hipa Law was not intended for family members especially children who are 18 years of age and still live under their parents roof to start making their own decisions in their health care needs. An 18 year old who is still in high school should not be in charge of their medical needs. My son had infection that was contagious but since HIPAA was calling the shots I had no idea what the blank was going on.. After a number of calls finally they told me my son could sign a release allowing me to know what the infection was.

This law was intended to protect individuals from outside sources like insurance companies and employers from invading ones privacy not for parents. I pay the co-payment, I buy the meds and I can't know what infection my child has..

This needs to change. It's time legislatures change this law.

Super Bowl

Wow I can't believe I haven't posted in so long... Working three jobs does that to a person. From now on, I am going to make time to post.

Can you believe the Steelers are going to another Super Bowl? I can. Their a great team... It's good that all of Steeler Nation are behind Ben... Go read my Facebook note. I was behind him from the beginning.

Go Steelers and take home a seven for seven.

My words on 'eclipse'

2010-07-11T10:30:00.000-07:00

I want to start off first by saying I am not a prude, and if you ask anyone of my friends they'll agree. I love a good juicy, raw, saucy novel, and steamy movie anytime. I've been intrigued by vampires since the first Cullen's ruled the screen in Dark Shadows. I'm a die-hard 'True Blood' fan. However... This is where I hold my breath and hope that I don't offend anyone.

I'm not so sure that the Twilight series, especially 'eclipse' and 'Breaking Dawn is suitable for tweens... or any child under 14.

I loved the series, the romance, the magic, and suspense. I fell in love with Edward Cullen just like any female. The novel took me back in time to when I was 17 and the power of young love existed. Yes, seventeen not 10, 11 or even 14. I even wrote a young adult romance which is intended for 14-21. I'm all for young love.

In the movie theatre yesterday I saw very young girls no older than 11 with their popcorn in hand and their young eyes glued to the big screen.

While I watched and marveled at the intense love scene on Edwards bed where Bella confessed to Edward she wanted him I thought to myself this is way too racy for their immature eyes.

I was uncomfortable...

What's going to happen when 'Breaking Dawn' is released next year? The novel goes beyond the make-out scene... beyond content that is suitable for tweens.

Why are parents so eager to have their young children grow up?

The young brain can't handle the stress and the emotional side to sex. We as grown-ups have a hard time dealing with it sometimes.

Parents should be protecting their children's innocence not be so eager to encourage them to read books and go to movies, involving sexual tension and intimacy.

I wonder if Stephenie Meyers intended girls who haven't had their first periods reading her books and going to see the Twilight movies.

I know everyone is reading the series, its a huge success....The movies broke box-office records.... however, the books are listed as a young adult series 14-21. NOT 10 11, 12, 13 ...

Why am I not surprised there is such an up roar in the news today about teaching kindergartners sex ed...It makes sense since we let them read novels, go to movies that are intended for young adults. We let our children date at 11. Why not? Every ones doing it...

Grow up parents and step up to the plate and start acting like parents. We have to take a test to drive a car we should have to take a test in order to be parents.

Teach five and six year old sex ed in kindergarten that's so graphic it shows sexual positions? Why not they give out condoms in middle schools. Like I said I'm not a prude. There is a time and place.

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the sun. Childhood is a precious time and it is all ready much too short, keep your children innocent and protect their childhood."

Mourning the loss of Meet The Press

2008-06-13T21:28:00.000-07:00

Today NBC and the world of Political news has lost an Icon. I was stunned to learn the passing of one of the brightest political reporters. I will miss my Sunday jog on the treadmill without Tim. May his family find comfort in the days, months and years to follow.

No Vote for Me

2007-10-11T11:54:00.000-07:00

There is no way in hell I am going to vote for Hillary. The way she was humiliated and embarrassed by her husband. What kind of example did she set for women all over the world by not throwing his sorry ass out unto Pennsylvania Ave.

She is a power hungry SOB. The only reason she stayed with him was for her own political gain.

Her husband smeared the Clinton name when he engaged in oral sex with Monica in the oval office corrupting the youth of this country by saying oral sex was not sex.

Hilary and Bill both made a mockery of the Presidency and they corrupted the honor that goes with being the President of the United States. It goes without saying they have no morals and integrity to be in the White House!

Go Back to Where You Came

First our Children’s Toys Now our Pets' Toys

Wow! First it was our pets' food, now China is targeting our pets' toy's. Walmart told the press earlier this week that they will start reviewing a laboratory report on two Chinese-made pet toy's that were sold at its store's world-wide. According to a forensic toxicologist whose company tested the product's for ConsumerAffairs.com found high level of lead, Chromium, and Cadmium.

Two veterinarians' said the level of the toxic metal's in the toy's were not harmful enough to pose a health risk to dogs' and cats'; however, they were not sure about if they may pose a risk to humans'!

What’s it going to take for United State's companies to stop importing junk from China, brain damaged children and pets'. Companie's have to stop being so cheap; they will risk the live's of innocent children and animals for the almighty buck.

There are so many people here in the United States that need good job's, these big companies need to stop being so greedy and put Americans back to work!

Every time you step into a dollar store you are stepping into China , look around at all the junk from China, look who is running these store's. Maybe we should call Rosie up about this, it sounds like a conspirarcy to me.

I think the American population should boy-cott store's who sell merchandise from China, unfortunately that most likely would be every toy-store in America.

Haven’t we learned anything from the tainted pet food, America stop buying from China.

One of the biggest companie's who buy from China is Walmart, maybe we should boycott Walmart, and then there is Mattel, Fisherprice, Oivis Company, and Playschool to name a few.

Friday Night High School Football in The Burg

2007-09-07T21:52:00.000-07:00

What's a Friday night in the fall without High School Football.

Then there is the traffic. People don't care about their lives walking on the street like they own the road. What's up with that. It reminds of the "Night of The Living Dead." If they don't watch it they will be dead .
