My creations are all original designs from patterns I draft myself and so each of my handbags, totes, diaper bags, and children's totes are one of a kind. When it just doesn't go as planned !

We had big and exciting plans for today ! We were going with some friends to tour The Denver Mint. You have to make reservations weeks in advance !! Guess who feels like they got hit with a Mack truck ? I started feeling crummy yesterday and since last night it's developed into "The nighttime, coughing, achy, sniffling, stuffy head, fever, so I can't sleep and take medicine just to feel like a human again." kind of sick.

The bright side is that our friend's mother was going to watch her youngest and her mom is sick too. No, I'm not excited her mom is sick! I'm glad that we both needed to reschedule and have decided on another date in April.

Now, I need to go refill my bottomless Theraflu mug and climb back into bed. Send me some healthy get well vibes !

Nora Roberts has always been a favorite of mine. She's been put on my back burner for the last couple of years while I've been introduced and enjoyed newer authors. From the moment I found out she was writing this new Brides Quartet series, I knew I wanted to read it. Bonus for this book was that the main character is a wedding photographer. I love photography so that gave this book an extra bonus even before I started the book.

Nora Roberts always does such a great job with her characters. She makes you love and care about them. She gives them depth and personality. There is nothing I hate more than reading a book and I can't get into the characters and enjoy them.

Her books aren't meant to be deep thoughtful reading. They are your standard light fluffy romance. It follows your typical Nora Roberts/Danielle Steel format - Girl and boy meet, fall in love, a conflict arises, they forgive each other and live happily ever after.

I loved the reader Emily Durante. I think she did a wonderful job of having the characters come to life. I would love to hear more

I've already put the 2nd book in the series on hold at the library. Looks like I'm not the only one, I have 28 people ahead of me !! The 2nd in the series in Bed of Roses.

It's Monday, What are you Reading ?

If you haven't already head over to One Person's Journey through Books. Sheila is the new host for It's Monday, What are you Reading? She has an incredible blog that I love to read !

This week was a really different week for me. I did very little reading and spent much of my time working with my daughter on her reading. She's in Kindergarten and learning to read is really frustrating her. I was the child under the cover at night with a flashlight reading ! My 12 year old son enjoys reading and I would like to instill good reading habits in her as well. We've been making fun trips to the library to pick out new and exciting books for her. She loves it, as long as she isn't the one having to read . We'll keep working on it ! Her favorite new series of books she's found is Skippyjon Jones ! They're really are very cute !

As far as my reading, I still very slowly moving through The Other Boleyn Girl. My heart just isn't into it right now. Maybe I need to put it on the back burner and come back to it later.

I also started reading Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie. I'm still in the first half of the book, but I'm loving the characters and the story. So fun !

I also caught up on a few movies that I had checked out from the library.
