Before I start my review of the Google Nexus 7, I have to confess that I am fully immersed in the iOS (that's Apple iPhone and iPad) ecosystem. I'm also an electrical engineer by trade, with a lot of programming under my belt. So... yeah. This isn't going to be your typical Multi-testing Mommy review. Sorry about that. The Google Nexus 7 is an Android tablet running Jellybean. Mine shipped with 4.1.1, but was clamoring for an update as soon as it could access the internet, after which it was 4.2.2, which is the latest version as of this writing. My Mom is an amazing gardener! She uses her inspiring creativity so well in her garden. This year, she has taught me about the Thrill, Spill and Fill Method for planting in containers and urns. Thrill In this image, the large hosta is the thrill with the tall flower. After the flower is done the hosta will grow up to 21 inches tall. FillFill is a tuberous begonia, a double impatiens and a Baby Bunting hosta. SpillSpill is a becopa. Keep the Squirrels Away!The pine cones deter the squirrels from digging. They love potting soil! I just had a conversation with my hubby last weekend about how I felt Dads deserve many more props than they get. There are so many stereotypes out there for different kinds of people and I've never been one to refer to them (at least, I try very hard not to) because for every "x" people that fall into that category, there are "y" people that don't and those stereotypes can hurt! Lately, my ears have been perked up to several different conversations about Dads. These conversations are between women complaining about their husbands, dance moms talking about dance dads, and moms complaining about the father of their children. See, here's the thing... Men will be men and Women will be women We are different creatures, therefore we have behave differently, think differently and have different ways of doing things. Fun Glass Storage for Food by @WeanGreen

For three months now, my daughter has been eating solid foods – and what a fun time it’s been! I love trying new foods with her and seeing what kind of face she’ll make. Packing lunches for play dates is also really fun. For those of you who have read my previous posts, you know I am always on the look out for environmentally friendly products where possible. While looking for food storage solutions, I came across Wean Cubes. For the last month or so, we have been using the ‘Garden Pack Wean Cubes’ and absolutely LOVE them! Not only are they re-usable, but they are also made of tempered glass, and are microwave and freezer safe! In particular though, I love how they are the absolute perfect size for a serving of food for my little one. She rarely leaves a drop behind and hardly ever asks for more once she has finished what I have put inside. Straw Weaving Craft for Busy, Little Hands {CRAFT}

Children often get a lot of satisfaction about the end product when they are making a craft. There is a fine balance between process (what a child gets out of the experience) and product (what the end product looks like). When children are young, they will sometimes show frustration with how their finished product looks and if they have perfectionist qualities, this can be quite difficult to handle. It is important that children have the opportunity to show their creativity and to use their imagination, but sometimes it is very rewarding for them to produce something that either: a) serves a purpose (like a place mat, a coaster or a bookmark) or b) looks more "grown up" This is where Straw Weaving comes in. At 28 weeks pregnant Ashley Pullen's life was turned upside down with the unexpected and 12 week early arrival of her daughter Avery. "I was able to finally meet my daughter. As I held her in my arms she looked so tiny and fragile. I have never been so scared in my entire life. I knew it was going to be a long road ahead of us I just didn't know how hard." - Ashley Pullen Little Avery spent 11 days on this earth receiving care from some of the best doctors in Canada at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre NICU, but sadly it was not enough to overcome the challenges Avery had as a preemie.
