For two months now, our daughter has been eating solid foods. It has been a really fun journey so far! At each meal, I have been giving her some water to help ‘wash’ her new foods down. We started using a standard sippy cup, however found it frustrating as she wanted to hold it and drink all by herself. We found she wasn’t strong enough to tilt the cup up and back far enough to have any success. I began to search for a sippy cup with a straw so that she didn’t need to tilt or lift the cup. While the original cup we started with was plastic, I decided to search for a non-plastic alternative. I came across the Safe Sippy 2™ which is a ‘no-spill bottle made from clean, non-leaching stainless steel’. I really liked how this Sippy had options. It could be a classic sippy cup with a sippy valve, or a straw cup! It comes with three parts – a travel plug, sippy valve and the straw and its adapter. I might end up sharing a bit too much information with you in this post about Lady Speed Stick! I sweat! I sweat A LOT. I remember back in high school how embarrassed I used to be by my "wet pits". I was always testing out new antiperspirant options, trying to find one that worked for me. One thing that I have learned about my body is that I need to "change it up" every once in a while as my body seems to get used to deodorant/antiperspirant. The opportunity to test out Lady Speed Stick couldn't have come at a better time for me, just before the summer season. The two antiperspirants that I was sent to try out were the: Lady Speed Stick Power - Cool BreezeThoughts: Because of my very sensitive skin, I tend not to use a solid deodorant/antiperspirant option because they are often not soft enough going on my skin. This particular deodorant/antiperspirant has not bothered my skin upon application, but I do find that it is slightly (not by much, however) less...

It’s been an exciting year for our family – with the birth of our first child in September, followed by a recent move into our first house as a family of three (ok four if you count our dog which we usually do)! We were literally bursting at the seams in out little 750 square foot home without a basement! We had planned to last for 1-2 years in our little house before moving however we quickly realized that our little one was going to need more space – or rather her stuff needed more space and FAST! Now that we are in our new space, it’s so exciting trying to figure out where we will put everything and also best of all – how we will decorate each room! Twitter Party Tuesday #WeLoveMommy - Part 1

For Mother's Day, I was spoiled with gifts, but I have to say that my absolute favourite gifts were the ones that were made with love! Last week, I co-hosted two Twitter Parties/Chats and helped out with a third, so I was a busy little tweep and as a result, my family knew about it. Usually Twitter events are held after my children are in bed, but last week, one of them was right at bedtime, another was after bed and the third was a "live tweeting event" so I had to leave the house at dinner time. The day that I left, hubby and the kids took full advantage of the time without me and one of the things that they did was create a Twitter Party (ficticious) called #WeLoveMommy. I laughed while I read it, I smiled and I almost cried! Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing the Twitter Party with you. I hope you enjoy reading it as though you were really there!
