Hi, I'm Jennifer. I live in Providence, RI with my husband and three young children (two of them twins). When not shaking raisins out of the rug, I enjoy sewing, drinking strong black coffee, wearing broken-in cowboy boots and listening to This American Life – often all at the same time. I dislike shouting, excessive packaging, and “mompetition.” I wax my eyebrows, but I secretly wish I were an off-the-grid homesteader in rural Vermont. I strive for simple, local and creative urban living. To pay (some of) the bills, I am a fundraising consultant and Spanish-English interpreter. I also teach “Global Activism” at a nearby university. In my previous life, I lived for several years in Nicaragua, and then directed U.S.-based environmental and social justice campaigns focused on Latin America. I sell my handmade items at www.dearlizacreations.com and blog about my multiple realities at: www.multiplerealitiesblog.com

I also needed a break from the intense blogging/social media frenzy surrounding the Listen to Your Mother show...<div class="feedflare">
