The design is official! The design is purely unique, a brilliant idea of the Jailbreakers combined!

THE ROBOT

2013-09-06T15:32:00.000+08:00

IT'S TRAINING TIME! Let's be serious, okay?

We talked about the plans of the robot, especially its design. We are going to show you guys the COOLEST ROBOT in the competition! The robot will be flexible (no, not literally.) enough to play 2 parts: The Defense and The Attack.

^Natalie and Francis leading the discussion

While everybody was listening; Lindy, Valyn and Jamie were planning the design of the blog. We planned to create a new blog but instead we ended up editing the old blog.

Munsci Jailbreakers Robotics Team is back! We're here again to design, build and play for this year's upcoming Tagisang Robotics competition on November 19-21 at SMX MOA Convention, Pasay City. It's like our debut, our road to victory, we may have not been the best but on that day we surely will out stand you with our development. As the years go by we have faced a lot of challenges and now we believe it is inevitable for us to proper as we take another step to excellence. We are the Jailbreaker from Muntinlupa, we're not like what you think. We are robot builders aiming to produce development and useful innovation in terms of technology.

We didn't make it

2012-11-23T10:54:00.001+08:00

Sadly we weren't able to make it to the top 4 that is to be expected having our 3wins 3 loss performance at yesterday's elimination games.

We weren't chosen as alliance member by the top four teams as well. We are somewhat sad but we are happy for those who qualified and get to play in the finals. We know our team did our best despite all the hurdles that we have faced along tbe way to TR2012. See you next year guys!

Design, build and play! Go Tagisang Robotics! Go MunSci Jailbreakers.

Thank You Thinklab

TR TRAINING 11/18-19/12

2012-11-19T22:38:00.001+08:00

Today is a very tiring day and all of us are still working on the program and The Cube^2.
We were already panicking. We don't know what to do without a controller.

Last Sunday, only Natalie showed up on the training. Others didn't come maybe because of personal reasons. Maybe.
But Philip tried to buy a joystick for the group; he is the club treasurer and he's going to use the fund to buy a joystick. He was already holding the Php1,100.00 controller, but Sir Eman said that he knew a person selling a joystick worth Php800.00. He told Philip to save the money for a cheaper controller.

But realizing that the time is too short and we only have less than 2 days to fix problems, again we crammed. Sir Eman is going to buy the joystick tomorrow. A while ago, Clifford and Joseph worked on the main programs of the robot while others also helped in improving the robot's features. Gian and Philip are going to the make the exterior of the robot tomorrow. Lindy and Natalie are supposed to make the blog nice and user-friendly with correct information.

Carlo and Jamie tried their best in spreading the word about the group picture, etc. Rhencis and Dada bought the team shirts.

We all tried to help the group; we tried our best. See you tomorrow, guys! :)

Controller issues

2012-11-17T16:23:00.005+08:00

We are in need of a new controller
Or else our life is over!
We need to haste,
No time to waste,
The competition is next week,
The date is set do not freak,
The date is fast arriving
The robot should already be running!

TEAM PIC & ROBOT PIC

2012-11-16T18:00:00.000+08:00

okay at last we reveal to you guys our team and robo pics

the team pic was done by our very own miss alyssa darunday and the robo pics well we still haven't finished with our robot but we ended up giving our robot a new name - the cube squared (D^3)^2. very mathematical if you'd ask us but it would make perfect sense and inject a bit of pun on our robot.

the design and layour for the group pic is inspired as you would have guessed it from our team name - munsci jailbreakers and ho you would see each member of the group as they scramble to escape jail and watching from the gates of the national prison are our two policemen coaches - sir rico and sir eman. giving our group pic a bit of humor as well as sending a message that we will do anything to escape and win. this is what happens when you live/study and muntinlupa, you could use the national prison as a pun for your group.

A SURprising announcement

2012-11-15T22:41:00.000+08:00

ATTENTION: TAGISANG ROBOTICS PARTICIPANTS
Practice Day, Eliminations and Finals for our competition is on November 21 - 23, 2012 at SMX, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

WELCOME BACK TO MJRC-HQ!

2012-11-12T18:46:00.000+08:00

At long last. We're going back to our HQ! Hooray!

We were all excited and such. We packed all of our robotics kit and headed to Munsci. Of course, we thank the Branzuela family for having the doors open for the Munsci Jailbreakers. It was really nice of them to let us train in their residence for a couple of days. :)

After cleaning the area we used to train, we left and headed back to our headquarters.

Gian and the motors and kits

The Cube^2 and the kits

It really feels nice to go back. We cleaned the HQ and placed our robot. We trained 'til the night. Our goal? To make The Cube^2 run. It kept the programmers focused on their job because their job is, well, difficult. And our fund couldn't cover up the expenses because the things needed are too expensive and our budget is a little lower than expected. Anyway, we'll get to this next time. We need to focus on the robot and how it can run.

i wouldn't spoil you anymore with further details but here it is.

Pictorial Day

2012-11-06T21:03:00.000+08:00

Had alot of fun on this day,

seeing each others eerie faces in weird expressions.

Not every thing is just full of serious matter... w ehave those small pockets of sunshine where we learn to smile and laugh how we make things work together.

That makes us bond together in a deeper level than ever.

TR TRAINING!

2012-11-03T09:00:00.000+08:00

Yesterday, we scheduled a training for all the TR representatives of Muntinlupa Science High School before the regular classes start. We planned to move all of our things to Joseph's house because the officer-in-charge didn't allow us to train everyday in our own headquarters. So we called the attention of all Munsci Jailbreakers (and of course, those who are willing to help us carry those large containers and heavy batteries).

Alas, what happened to our room? Papers were on the floor. The board was not clean. The projects of the Physics class (Sir Eman's class) were scattered everywhere, etc. But we took care of those. We cleaned our HQ before leaving. Of course, we can't leave our room all messed up and stuff.

After cleaning, we collected the things we needed.

And... We were all ready to go!

And while waiting, Natalie and Ian played with their umbrellas. We can't blame them. It is true, it was getting kind of boring just standing there and waiting.

The moment we got there, we tried to find a place for our things. Joseph's house was not that small but not too big, too. But we all felt home for a while. It was really nice. They're hospitable, accommodating and very kind.

After making a temporary home for The Cube (our robot), we headed home. This day was really fun, for us. Another chance to have a bonding with the group mates. :)

Our Exile

2012-10-30T21:29:00.000+08:00

We were sent to exile while our principal Ms.Diaz was not around due to some health reasons... We were prohibited to use our own room. The requirement was a permit. We filled one, but we got rejected. Our hearts were broken by this utter truth. We wish and pray for the early recovery of Ms.Diaz and for her to reclaim her position.

We felt disgraced, ridiculed, disbanded, humiliated, and underestimated We were not enough for the OIC for us to be given the privilege of having a shelter, a roof above our heads as we are hard at work. We were forced to seek refuge in Joseph's apartment for rent.

The Great Flood

2012-10-28T23:10:00.000+08:00

We were hindered!

For more than 3 months we were unable to use our territories. We were evacuated to PLMUN. Because PLMUN was not our home we were unable to find any venue for us to carry on with our work. Due to this progress was not possible! We had no progress at all. Our school was flooded with water but to us it was flooded with time consuming waste. Imagine how it is to ride a mattress or even just water gallons tied together to get to school!

Not only did the water hinder us but also the time table itself! We are a group of teenagers who are not all in the same year. It was such a bother that we had shifting schedules and it was irrevocable! But as soon as the waters lowered it was already sembreak and another Hindrance has arrived, The OIC.

Game Kick Off for the 2012 Tagisang Robotics

2012-09-15T13:14:00.000+08:00

As we walked into the auditorium we saw many students like us. We were among them, with a common goal to win this competition. A group cheer was to be performed on stage by each school. We put out an extempore but our group leader Gian was flamboyant and confident as our cheer push through.

Listening to the new rules and game play our minds were optimistic, thinking about the new tactics and strategies we would find ourselves floundering to.We were unable to control ourselves with thoughts that made butterflies in our stomachs fly as we thought of the aspirations this competition will bring forth to us.

On this day we also received our kit it was not just a kit for us. we saw it as a part of our victory.

But the highlight of that day was the raising of flags by all the schools participating. Seeing all those schools brought us questions unanswered. Who will be our colleagues? Who will be our competitors? We were proud to have our representatives stand on that stage along side with old and new faces. Making us realize there are more schools taking part on this competition.

This day surely made us believe that this year will have a better outcome and we will be know as new veterans in this battle. We went home with thoughts of a bright future ahead of us lingered in our minds.

On the faithful day of September 8,2012 Munsci Jailbreakers took another step on our way to the top. We were filled with excitement and joy in this very special event. The Happiness did not stop, from our way there to the time we had to say our farewells to each other on our voyage home.
