We have been away for a while and written a huge load of new songs. They worked out great. In fact we will start with the recordings of the successor “Mental Surgery” in the end of this year. More about that later.

Now Jarno and Kevin (guitarist and drummer, respectively) are a part of the line-up for a while we can say that the writing proces is very prosperous. The new songs have the same basis as our debut, but are more often in top gear. Groove and melodies in the songs are much further developed. We can say that the total sound of the songs are much more varied with a wink to old school black and death metal. Completing with the hooks you would expect of Murder Manifest.

Anne left the band. Search for a new bassplayer

Unfortunately during the writing proces bassplayer Anne left the band. She has left the band for a sabbatical and has quit music for further notice. Anne will hopefully play one or two final shows!

This brings us directly to the following: Are you the new bass player who joins us and get his / her share on the new album? Some good (inter) national shows are being planned.

This summer we’re spending most of the time behind our bbq but also in our rehearsal room writing new material for the 2nd album. With this refreshed line-up since our debut “Mental Surgery” we’re highly productive. The sound won’t change that much but we can assure you it will have some more groove and more fast and progressive parts than the debut. We’re exited to post you some updates soon.

We plan to record the new album by the end of this year, releasing it early 2010. Currently we’re talking with some record labels to release the new album. Stay tuned for more!

Intense and hardcore, Murder Manifest puts on quite a show in the eight songs I heard on “Mental Surgery.” The music is raw enough to blast atoms and does not give up until the last chord is played.

Murder Manifest may just be the best unsigned band I have heard this year … or maybe in a few years!
