Walking the dog- Fun.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRLCSxSR39s&ob=av2em
Okay so, this has been a current obsession of mine, this band is great. The vocalist used to sing for this band called The Format, if any of you have ever heard of them I thought they were pretty okay, they had a pop/country sound back then. This song however, I can admit to having listened to this song more times than I can count by hands and toes.

Syke! Life is awesome- Bomb the Music Industry: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5Dypaw46fA
These guys are a Ska band from Baldwin, New York and do all of their recordings in the vocalists apartment. Now keep in mind, this is like the more closely related Punk Ska, not quite like Phish type of Ska. They have a lot of songs worth checking out and I'd recommend this band to anyone whose a rock/alternative/punk fan. Humorously enough, They sought out one goal for their new album, to spend more money than they ever have on producing an album: $500. All of their albums are available to download for free on their tumblr, posted here: http://bombthemusicindustry.tumblr.com/

She moves in her own way- The Kooks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4x6MCyJwEk&ob=av2el
The Kooks are a pretty well-known Brit band by now, this song, She moves in her own way, is probably one of my favorites, the verses of a reggae style feel to them and the chorus returns to the classic brit-rock style. Much like Bomb the Music Industry, just about every one of this bands songs are worth giving a listen, you won't regret it!

I'll add more tunes and descriptions when I return back home, enjoy these for now!

Indie fans:

2010-09-04T20:42:00.000-07:00

A friend of mine, Jennifer, is the biggest indie child I've ever met, so being a fan of the genre I asked for her opinion on some bands and etc. She sent all this to me in a message on Facebook, so I'm just going to copy the message in it's entirety and share it with you guys! Even if you're not a fan check some of it out, it's great.

Fun- Take Your Time Coming Home
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufO1G9x7Qxk
(I totally moved this to the top of this list, this is the song you need to listen to before all the others. It's my absolute favorite of the moment. They're on Manchester Orchestra's label Favorite Gentlemen, and I've seen them live, with Manchester.)

Margot & The Nuclear So & So's - On A Freezing Chicago Street
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzEkEd4jd64
( Every song by this band is amazing. And thats just it. Also check out "Jen Is Bringing The Drugs" if you like them)

Broadcast 2000 -Get Up and Go
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKSec0k53qg
(I was on Stumbleupon.com and stumbled onto this song, and it took me forever to find who it was by. I digggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg the shit out of it.
Theyre not very well known, and most of their songs are little out there, but good if you like the tone they set, AND the video is cool.)

The Naked and Famous- Young Blood
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdO85Qf4Poc
(they are like a slower passion pit, with girls)

Magnetic Men - I Need Air
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2vWQFHP3D0
(kinda techno-y, not my usual jam, but I dig the beat)

Cass McCombs- You Saved My Life
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyeBD4MYRk8
(I listen to this when Im SUPER high, the video is stupid, ignore it)

Barcelona- Please Don't Go
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oz3ieeRptUg
(Barcelona can go either way, they have slow melodic stuff, or a little heavier fast paced things. I really really like them)

Lovedrug- Thieving
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJSEQSI4bI8
(his voice is a little interesting, its hit or miss for different people, I dig it)

Metric- Help I'm Alive
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtA7YIFapnY
( LOVE)

Sky Sailing- Brielle
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PkzsMak6P8
(Adam Young [Owl City] this is his OTHER side project. It's less electronic, and I dig it.)

Harper Simon- Wishes and Stars
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oW1sIo9wjI4
(upbeat, harmonic, pretty cool)

Avi Buffalo- Whats In It For
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNaSEQERGz0
(got a different sorta vibe to it, kinda like The Shins)

The Morning Bender- Crosseyed
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0_YnZq0z1g
(just found these guys tonight, I really really like them)

Sondre Lerche- Phanton Punch
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlbMHXlzITE
(From Germany, and it's a little different theyre beats and riffs remind me of The Strokes)

Frightened Rabbit- The Twist
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOh6kKrQioE
(Theyre from Scotland, his voice has an obvious accent to it, this song is a little out there, "Swim Until You Can't See Land" is their well known single. You should also give it a listen before you say no!)

The Tastydactyls- Ma Suds
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7UbjrWcVVs
(Danny actually played a show with these guys, and he brought home their CD, this is the song I liked the most.)

This is awesome.

It's irrelevant to music but I still thought it was cool and decided to share it.

My dream blues guitar.

That's just the neck and body, with the total added sum of all the elctronics, knobs, etc. the total cost is about $1,005. I'm not even going to worry about the physical construction of it all until some money comes my way but I'm just psyched to have it all finished out on paper.

The Titan Courageous

2010-09-01T02:48:00.000-07:00

Okay so, about 8 months back I came across the above mentioned band, I love the fuck out of these guys, They're a Progressive band that to this day I've yet to find one of there full albums, I'd definitely recommend to anyone who reads this to check these guys out. http://thetitancourageous.bandcamp.com/track/love-in-the-asylum
On the right side of the page there is a taskbar labeled "Discography" just clicked either one of the pictures to pull up a song. It's great stuff!

Paramore is sick,

2010-09-01T02:04:00.001-07:00

It seems like everyone hates on the band simply because they have a female as a vocalist, I personally think Hayley Williams is an awesome vocalist, she can reach higher high notes, and lower low notes than a lot of male vocalists these days. Not to mention the talent of the band in it's own is far greater than most these days.
