The theme for NHB’s IMD Singapore Symposium 2026, Museums Uniting a Divided World, recognises the important role museums play as social spaces for communities to build meaningful relationships, and to bond through shared histories. The Symposium features three panels on Love, Conflict and Unity, highlighting how relationships shape narratives, and how communities endure, overcome differences, and uphold unity.

Now in its 12th edition, the 2026 Museum Roundtable Lunar New Year Hongbao Campaign returns with new red packet designs based on the Zodiac Year of the Horse!

Organised by NHB and members of the Museum Roundtable in collaboration with academics, heritage enthusiasts and interest groups, the Battle for Singapore 2026 commemorates the 84th anniversary of the Fall of Singapore with a series of public programmes that highlight the stories and sites relating to Singapore's experiences during the Second World War (WWII).

The theme for National Heritage Board's (NHB) IMD Symposium 2025, The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities, recognises the important role museums play as social spaces that serve and engage diverse communities to adapt to changing audience profiles. The theme also focuses on how museums tap on their resources and rich heritage to foster growth and innovation in rapidly changing environments.
