I have to give Miguel credit, he did do something different to make you remember his song Adore.

The idea of jumping across the pit was a bold move, but knocking out two women in the process was probably not one of them, ((Miguel did appear one one of the young ladie ( Khyati) who said she is doing fine after Miguel's Hulk Hogan leg slam.)

In any event, at least Miguel sang live and sang well, can't say the same for some other artists (hello Selena Gomez, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber).

I'm a fan of Beniffer 2.0.

While the orginal Bennifer of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez crashed and burned faster than their movie "Gigli"(good move Ben), Affleck's marriage with former Daredevil co-star Jennifer Garner seems to rival Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey as one of the most solid unions in Hollywood.

You could see the fondness for each other during the award season, especially when Affleck won the Oscar for "Argo" and it continued on the season finale of Saturday Night Live as as Jennifer joined Ben as he mocked his Academy Award speech.

The interesting thing about Ben Affleck's five time run as SNL host it that you could also gauge is love life by his monologue, with not just Garner and Lopez, but also Gwyneth Paltow who dated Affleck back in 2000.

In honor of Janet Jackson's "janet." turning 20 years old today, I am dropping two of my favorite songs from that album, ("Anytime, Anyplace", "If") alon with one track that I completely forgotten about but a Faceook friend reminded how great the track was and still is ("Throb").

However, the tragedy of this anniversary is the lack of airplay of not only this album but Janet's entire catalog from the mostly produced Jimmy and Jam and Terry produced era, (including "Control", "Rhythm Nation", "The Velvet Rope" and "All For You") on pop stations and more importantly classic R&B stations.

Janet Jackson's albums from the late 80's to the late 90's were not about what was hot sound on the radio or trying to fit in an image.

It was about artistry.

It was about changing the game musically.

It was about making albums, not singles.

It was Janet following in the footsteps of her big brother Michael by making albums that were not just for today, but ones that made a muscial impact and stand the test of time.

Unfortunately, most classic R&B stations are missing the boat in playing the abundance of great music that came from that era, which not only include Janet Jackson, but also Mariah Carey, Jody Watley, Tony Toni Tone and Outkast who all have catalogs worthy for constant airplay (I love Zapp and Al Green, but there are some great music from the late 80s on too old school R&B stations).

Even if you look at Prince. who is arguably one of the best artists of all-time, even his catalog music doesn't get the same kind of love on classic R&B stations like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin or U2 do on classic rock stations, (When was last time you heard "Let's Go Crazy", "Alphabet Street" or "Controversy" on a classic R&B station in non-mix form?)

Right now, there is a teenage kid listening to Janet Jackson's 90's contemporaries Nirvana , Pearl Jam and Marilyn Manson for the first time and they will begin to download more rock music from the 90's music because they heard "In Bloom" Dissident" for "The Beautiful People" on a classic rock or a contemporary rock station.

Rock music will always have a piece of their history more so than R&B because they continuously expose the next generation to its past, no matter if its 50 years like the Rolling Stones or close to 20 years like Green Day.

In contrast, most kids who love urban music are not exposed enough to a full catalog like Janet Jackson', where they can see the road she traveled from being Michael's little sister who played Penny on "Good Times" to hopefully becoming a future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.

Even today, the vast catalog by 21st century artists like The Neptunes and Kanye West are routinely pushed aside in favor of what's the hottest rap/Hip Hop song of the moment, (sure pop radio does the same thing, but Dave Grohl's Foo Fighters are always being played somewhere).

Thank goodness for digital music platforms like iTunes, Pandora and Spotify so you can easily go from janet's "You Want This", hop over to Rhythm Nation's "Come Back To Me", take a quick detour down "Dream Street," round the corner by the Control's "Pleasure Principle", make a u-turn by The Velvet Rope's "Got Till It's Gone" and arrive safely back to janet's "That's The Way Love Goes".

Now that is a legendat musical journey worth taking.

Dirty Laundry is not that bad of a song. It sort of feel like an R. Kelly song during his Sparkle/Changign Faces of era. However, it will be the lyrics that will give the "Dirty Laundry" its push on radio:

Although Kelly Rowland's first album a didn't connect with fans, the album's first single, the TLC-liek "Stole" really wasn't that bad. The problem was today's urban radio station doesn't embrace embrace alternative/urban vibe from black artsists, (except for maybe Kanye West who gives no urban radio no choice but to play his tracks).

Rowland actually rebounded in a big way in Europe, when she hooked up with David Guetta on the song "When Love Takes Over" in 2009 on before Guetta blew up in the U.S.

At that point, it seemed like Kelly Rowland found her niche as a emerging dance queen, sort of Deborah Cox back in the mid 90's.

However, Rowland dropped the euro-pop sound that would later top the charts the U.S. a few years later went back to R&B and adopted a Hip Hop sex kitten vibe with the song "Motivation" in 2011.

The new sex-i-fied Kelly Rowland was a hit with urban radio, but it's kind of a shame that she has to continue to co-op her style to sell some downloads.

The tragic thing is that Kelly Rowland might now be locked in a unshakable persona that seemed so far removed from her "Dilemma" days of the past.

Choreographer Wade Robson appeared on The Today Show Thursday to discuss claims that he was sexually abused by late pop legend Michael Jackson and to explain his recent request for compensation from Jackson’s estate.

Robson was one of the witnesses at Michael’s 2005 child molestation trial and was said to be instrumental in the star’s acquittal. Wade, who says Jackson molested him multiple times between the ages of seven and 14, now claims he “was scared psychologically and emotionally completely unable and unwilling to understand that it was sexual abuse.”
Speaking to Today, the married dancer remarked:

“This is not a case of repressed memory. I never forgot one moment of what Michael did to me. He performed sexual acts on me and I performed sexual acts on him. It was complete manipulation and brainwashing. He would role-play and train me for these scenarios.”

“....There is no excuse for what he did to me, but he was a troubled man…The image that one presents to the world is not the whole explanation of who someone is. Michael Jackson was yes, an incredibly talented artist with an incredible gift. He was many things. And he was also a pedophile and a child sexual abuser.”
