Composed in 1939, Joaquin Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez is arguably his most famous work. Inspired by the gardens at Palacio Read de Aranjuez, "the fragrance of magnolias, the singing of birds and the gushing of fountains" are contained within the music as Rodrigo would describe.
