Soooo viele Programme, die Audio nach MIDI konvertieren k�nnen. Welches soll ich nehmen?

Ich verrate Ihnen hier die wichtigsten Kriterien zur Auswahl eines Audio nach MIDI Konvertierungsprogrammes. Alles, was wir normalerweise an Musik h�ren ist polyphone Musik. Das heisst, es erklingen mehrere T�ne gleichzeitig. Deshalb sollte auch das Programm Ihrer Wahl polyphone Musik erkennen. Kann ein Programmm das nicht, d.h. es ist monophon, dann ist das ebenfalls farblich markiert.

Es gibt viele Audioformate, die ein Programm verstehen sollte. Kann ein Programm nur ein Format lesen, das zudem nicht mehr sehr verbreitet ist, weise ich Sie darauf hin.

Ist ein Programm so flexibel, dass es mehrere Betriebssysteme unterst�tzt, so wird das positiv hervorgehoben.

Sie sollten eine Testversion herunterladen und ausprobieren, falls das geht.

NIFF ist das erste Standardformat f�r Musiknotation. NIFF basiert auf RIFF.

Eine kleine Revision, NIFF 6b , ist seit Juni 2002 verf�gbar. Diese Revision wurde von Jeff Thompson, Autor von Niffty , erarbeitet.

Die Geschichte von NIFF

NIFF (Notation Interchange File Format) wurde im Herbst 1995 fertiggestellt. Es ist ein digitales Standardformat um Musiknotation zu speichern. Das Format ist sehr flexibel. Es erlaubt einfache Darstellungen mit minimaler graphischer Information genauso wie ausgefeilte Beschreibungen einschlie�lich aller Aspekte des Seitenlayouts, zugeordneten MIDI-Daten, eigene Symbole etc.

Sponsoren: Passport Designs, Mark of the Unicorn, Musicware, Opcode Systems, und Cakewalk Music Software. Das Format wurde in gemeinschaftlicher Arbeit erstellt. Die Mitglieder des Teams, das NIFF entwickelt hat, ist nachfolgend aufgef�hrt. Beachten Sie, dass sich seitdem personelle Ver�nderungen ergeben haben.

NIFF wird nicht mehr gewartet. Das NIFF SDK Archiv wird als ausgereiftes Werk f�r Schulungszwecke pr�sentiert.

The NIFF SDK is complete. It is a free, public domain, platform independent Software Developer's Kit for software developers implementing NIFF. It is a collection of software libraries and tools to support reading, writing, and navigating NIFF files. Documentation, sample code, and a simple NIFF file is included. The NIFF SDK makes it possible for a software developer to add NIFF reading and writing capabilities to an existing program without writing the housekeeping functions that would otherwise be required. The software is supplied in source code format in the C programming language.

The files beginning with "EX" are TIFF (a standard graphics format) formatted music example files to be used by NIFF developers.
"FILEWALK.ZIP" is a Microsoft utility for browsing RIFF files. It parses the STRUCTURE of a RIFF file. Because NIFF uses tags instead of nested lists, it is of limited utility.
"NIFF 6x.x" is the current version of the specification itself, in html format. The document "NIFFspec.egs.jpg" contains the musical examples in the NIFF spec, since some versions of Word have difficulty displaying these images.
"NIFF6x.xchanges.txt" details all the latest changes made to the spec since v.6a.
"niff.h" is a C header file.
"MS_NIFF.ZIP" contains some examples of NIFF files written by Midiscan.
The files containing "niffsdk" refer to the NIFF software development kit.
The files containing "NIFFDUM" provide an updated version of the NIFFDUMPER UTILITY. See "NIFFDUM.README.TXT".

F�r diejenigen, die einen NIFF-Importer schreiben: Es gibt fehlerhafte Werte in einigen Beispielsfiles des NIFF SDK. Es gibt 7 undefinierte shapes in Pausen der L�nge 3/16 in AFTER.NIF, 3 in WAYITIS.NIF und 1 in MANDOL.NIF. Dank an Cris Sion von Sionsoft , der das best�tigt hat.

ICON - Die alternative Musiknotation

Simplified Music Notation wurde erschaffen, um die Notwendigkeit aufzuheben, sich die Tonart und Vorzeichen merken zu m�ssen. Basierend auf der traditionellen 5-linigen Musiknotation werden Kreuze und b durch gesonderte Notenkopfformen dargestellt. Die Tonart ist weiter vorhanden, aber der Musiker spielt die Note wie sie auf der Seite erscheint, ohne sich mental auf die Tonart oder Vorzeichen einstellen zu m�ssen.

ScoreRender ist ein Wordpress-Plugin, das Musiknotations-Fragmente in Bilder rendert. Die Umwandlung von Fragmenten wird unterst�tzt in Ausz�ge, Posts, Seiten und (optional) in Kommentaren. Derzeit werden folgende vier Notations-Formate unterst�tzt: abc, Guido, LilyPond, Mup.

Chris Walshaw machte sich deshalb daran, eine einfache Eingabesprache namens abc und das �bersetzungsprogramm abc2mtex zu entwickeln.

Das Konzept war so erfolgreich, da� heute viele Programme f�r abc existieren, die TeX gar nicht mehr ben�tigen. Im Internet ist abc mit �ber 10000 verf�gbaren St�cken das wohl verbreitetste Format.

Im Gegensatz zu den anderen Formaten stelle ich hier keine Beispiel zusammen, da die abc Seiten von Chris Walshaw so gut sind, da� ich sie nicht �bertreffen kann.

MusicXML 2.0 ist ein einer XML Schema Definition (XSD)-Version verf�gbar.

MusicXML von Michael David Good , (siehe auch Scot ), ist mit Kenntnis von MusiXML und NIFFML entworfen worden.

Die Dateiendung ist .xml, die gepackte Version endet auf .mxl

SVG ist ein Graphikformat, das auf xml aufbaut. Ich sehe zwei Anwendungsgebiete von SVG im Notensatz:

Es ist ideal, Noten in kleinen Dateien in hoher Qualit�t ins WWW zu integrieren (als Ersatz f�r gif; jpg ist f�r Noten sowieso wenig geeignet) und diese dann mit denselben Daten in hoher Qualit�t zu drucken.
Es ist ein idealer Ersatz f�r Notenfonts . Mit Java kann man Programme heute auf allen g�ngigen Plattformen laufen lassen - nur kann man sich nicht darauf verlassen, da� die Fonts dort installiert sind oder gar installierbar sind. Mit SVG kann ein Notensatzprogramm alle notwendigen Symbole �barall hin mitnehmen.

SVG ist vom World Wide Web Consortium definiert .

SVG ist ein in wikipedia.org und wikibooks.org bevorzugtes Bildformat f�r Vektorgrafiken.
