This brings the number of Palestinians killed to 26,751, including 11,000 children, 7,500 women, and 65,636 injured. 8,000 Palestinians are missing.

At least nine civilians, including a child, were killed and several others injured over the last hours due to Israeli aerial and artillery strikes targeting residential areas across the Gaza Strip, reports Wafa news agency.

Palestinian officials accuse Israeli troops of killing at least 30 civilians “execution-style” after blindfolded bodies with hands bound are discovered in a mass grave in northern Gaza, according to Al Jazeera.

Meanwhile, Christian Aid, Global Justice Now, Oxfam and War on Want say that until the UK stops sending weapons to Israel, it is complicit in the “slaughter of innocent civilians taking place every day in Gaza”.

“The UK public have consistently and overwhelmingly supported a ceasefire, with more than seven in ten in favour according to recent polling, while fewer than one in five approve of the government’s handling of the conflict,” the aid groups said in a statement.

They also called on the UK government to “insist” that Israel abides by the provisional measures ordered by the ICJ last week, including taking steps to prevent acts of genocide in Gaza.

“A ceasefire was needed yesterday,” the groups’ statement added.

“We don’t know where they were injured or even their names,” Dr Omar Abu Taha tells Al Jazeera as Palestinians bury dozens of bodies, released by Israel, in Rafah.

Meanwhile, Israeli troops have stormed al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younis and are demanding doctors and displaced Palestinians evacuate, the Palestine Red Crescent says.

Israel has repeated new evacuation orders for neighbourhoods in western Gaza City where 88,000 Palestinians had been living in shelters, the UN humanitarian agency (OCHA) has said.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society has released a video showing the burial of an infant girl and an elderly woman, aged 75, in the yard of al-Amal Hospital.

The organisation said the two died after oxygen had ran out in the medical facility.

According to local sources, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike on a residence in the Maghrebi neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, resulting in the killing of two individuals and the injury of others, reports Wafa.

Simultaneously, ongoing artillery shelling on the city of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip led to the killing of three civilians and left dozens more injured. The wounded were promptly transported to Kamal Adwan Hospital for medical treatment.

In a separate incident, Israeli forces targeted a vehicle north of the city of Rafah, south of the enclave, resulting in the tragic death of four civilians, including a child, and injuring others.

Additionally, dozens of civilians were injured as a result of Israeli forces targeting the Yarmouk Stadium in Gaza City. The wounded were swiftly transferred to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital for medical treatment.

Accoding to Israeli authorities 1,139 Israelis were killed by Hamas in southern Israel on 7 October, 2013. 136 Israeli and foreign nationals are still held captive by Hamas in Gaza.

London (The Muslim News): Israeli troops disguised themselves as doctors, nurses, and civilians invaded a hospital in Jenin City, north of the occupied West Bank, on Tuesday morning, killing three Palestinians, including two brothers.
London (The Musilm News): In an historic ruling, the United Nation’s apex court, the International Court of Justice, has drawn the veil from more than seven decades of Israel’s impunity by ruling on Januart 26 that South Africa’s claim that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza is indeed “plausible”.

The decision is part of a larger case brought to The Hague by South Africa in December, which alleged that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. The Israeli killing of Palestinians escalated after 7 October 2023, when the Hamas attacked Israel at the Zikim military base, five kilometres north of Gaza City, seizing many prisoners.

On 11-12 January, South Africa asked the ICJ to issue provisional measures that would require Israel to immediately halt its assault on Gaza. Israel in its response asked the ICJ to reject SA’s application on the grounds that the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the case because critical conditions had not been met, including that South Africa had not declared a dispute between the two states. The court rejected Israel’s request to throw the case out.

Noting the “catastrophic humanitarian situation” in the Gaza Strip, the Court also found “urgency” and “real imminent risk” that irreparable damage will be done to Palestinians before the case concludes. On this basis, the court found it necessary to order a series of provisional—or “emergency”—measures to protect the population based on South Africa’s pleadings.

In delivering the six provisional measures, the Court’s President, Joan Donoghue, said Israel must ensure “with immediate effect” that its forces not commit any genocidal acts against Gazans. These acts include the deliberate physical destruction of Gazans’, which is carried out with the intent to destroy the Gazan people. It also ordered Israel to prevent and punish incitement to genocide, to prevent destruction and preserve evidence of crimes, and to report back to the court in a month on the implementation of these measures. However, the order stops short of calling for a cease-fire.

The ICJ also ruled that to further reduce the risk of genocide, Israel must immediately allow food, water, medical aid, fuel, and other humanitarian aid into Gaza, without delay or hinderance on quantities or types of aid. The court found that Palestinians are facing a “catastrophic humanitarian situation” and Israel must restore conditions that can support life in Gaza and it must must limit its military operations to ensure that the aid can be delivered to all of Gaza. Further Israel must ensure that Gazans are not attacked while waiting for humanitarian aid.

The ICJ’s provisional measures against Israel “have binding effect and thus create international legal obligations for any party to whom the provisional measures are addressed.”

While the Court’s decision was not intended to answer the question of whether Israel is committing genocide, it held that “at least some of the acts and omissions alleged by South Africa to have been committed by Israel in Gaza appear to be capable of falling within the provisions of the Convention.”

According to the Court these “facts and circumstances mentioned above are sufficient to conclude that at least some of the rights claimed by South Africa and for which it is seeking protection are plausible.”

This means that the case can proceed to a decision on the merits. It also puts other states—namely, the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and all other countries offering support to Israel — on genocide notice. These countries could also be held complicit in the encouragement, condonation and promotion of genocide.

The Court voted 15-2 on the measure that Israel must do all in its power to stop genocidal acts in Gaza and by 16 votes to 1, that Israel needs to to prevent and punish those involved with inciting genocide against Palestinians. By a 16-1 vote, the judges said that Israel must take “immediate and effective” measures to ensure the provision of urgently needed humanitarian aid and basic services.

South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Naledi Pandor, stated that should the ICJ find there is genocide, the states that aided Israel would be considered complicit in the commission of the crime under the Convention.

South Africa’s International Relations and Cooperation Department said in a statement that the decision “marks a decisive victory for the international rule of law and a significant milestone in the search for justice for the Palestinian people.”

“Third States are now on notice of the existence of a serious risk of genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. They must, therefore, also act independently and immediately to prevent genocide by Israel and to ensure that they are not themselves in violation of the Genocide Convention, including by aiding or assisting in the commission of genocide. This necessarily imposes an obligation on all States to cease funding and facilitating Israel’s military actions, which are plausibly genocidal’, it continued

The statement added that “South Africa will continue to act within the institutions of global governance to protect the rights, including the fundamental right to life, of Palestinians in Gaza – which continue to remain at urgent risk including from Israeli military assault, starvation and disease – and to obtain the fair and equal application of international law to all, in the interest of our collective humanity. Notably, South Africa will continue to do everything within its power to preserve the existence of the Palestinian people as a group, to end all acts of apartheid and genocide against the Palestinian people and to walk with them towards the realisation of their collective right to self-determination, for, as Nelson Mandela momentously declared, “our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians”.

Addressing the South African nation on Friday after the ICJ ruling, President Cyril Ramaphosa, said: “We, as South Africans, will not be passive bystanders and watch the crimes that were visited upon us being perpetrated elsewhere.”

Algeria has formally notified the United Nations Security Council of the Court’s order. President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has directed Algeria’s permanent mission to the UN to request a Security Council meeting to “give an executable form” to decisions by the ICJ.

The UNSC is schedule to meet on Wednesday, 31 January, to discuss the ICJ’s ruling.

WASHINGTON (AA) :After the International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued a provisional rulings on Gaza, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday said that the court’s decisions are “binding.”

“The Secretary-General recalls that, pursuant to the Charter and to the Statute of the Court, decisions of the Court are binding and trusts that all parties will duly comply with the Order from the Court,” his spokesman Stephane Dujarric said in a statement .

The statement came after the ICJ ordered Israel to “take all measures within its power” to prevent further bloodshed in Gaza in line with Genocide Convention obligations. The court also called for the immediate release of all hostages.

“He also notes the Court’s instruction to Israel to ensure with immediate effect that its military does not commit any of these acts.

“Further, the Secretary-General takes special note of the Court’s order to Israel to ensure the provision of urgently needed basic services and humanitarian assistance to address the adverse conditions of life faced by Palestinians in Gaza,” he added.

Guterres will promptly transmit the notice of the provisional measures ordered by the Court to the Security Council, Dujarric said.

At a news briefing, Dujarric told the reporters that Guterres “strongly” believes that the Court’s decisions should be respected as they are binding, and he believes in the dependence of the Court.

Underlying the call of Guterres for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza, Dujarric said: “His position has been what it is. It’s been very clear. We’ve taken note of everything that the court has decided.”

South Africa brought a genocide case against Israel to the ICJ in late December and asked it to grant emergency measures to end the bloodshed in Gaza, where more than 26,000 Palestinians have been killed, including 10,400 children, 7,100 women and 64,487 injured since Oct. 7. 7,800 Palestinians are missing.

The court also ordered Israel to take “immediate and effective” measures to enable the provision of urgently needed basic services and humanitarian assistance in the Gaza Strip, but fell short of ordering a cease-fire.

What are the provisional measures ordered by ICJ?

ICJ on Friday ordered Israel to contain death and damage in its military offensive in the Gaza Strip, where more than 26,000 Palestinians have been killed since last October.

Seventeen judges sat on the panel, which dismissed Israel’s request to throw out the case.

Public hearings on South Africa’s request for provisional measures were held on Jan. 11 and 12.

The provisional measures:

1 Israel shall, in accordance with obligations under the 1948 Genocide Convention, take all measures to prevent genocide in Gaza Strip

By 15 votes to 2

Against: Uganda, Israel

2. Israel shall ensure with immediate effect that its military does not commit any genocidal acts

By 15 votes to 2

Against: Uganda, Israel

3 – Israel shall take all measures to prevent and punish direct and public offense to commit genocide

By 16 votes to 1

Against: Uganda

4 – Israel shall take immediate and effective measures to enable the provision of urgently needed basic services and humanitarian assistance to address the adverse conditions of life faced by Palestinians

By 16 votes to 1

Against: Uganda

5 – Israel shall take effective measures to prevent the destruction and ensure the preservation of evidence related to accusation of acts of genocide

By 15 votes to 2

Against: Uganda, Israel

6 – Israel shall submit a report to the ICJ on all measures taken to give effect to this order within 1 month

By 15 votes to 2

Against: Uganda, Israel

The Israeli army carried out an airstrike Wednesday on the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip which killed four children.

The children’s bodies were found in the debris of houses, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

It added that the Israeli military continued its attacks from the air and ground on the Khan Younis region in southern Gaza, targeting the surroundings of Nasir Hospital with artillery shells.

The World Health Organization’s director-general denounced Israel’s bombardment of the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday.

“The ongoing heavy bombardment, evacuation orders and killing of civilians in Khan Younis, Gaza is just horrendous,” Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on X.

“WHO team joined an UNRWA mission to help those who were injured in today’s blast at the training centre where civilians were sheltering,” he noted and extended his condolences to the victims’ families.

Earlier, the head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in Gaza, Thomas White, wrote on X that an attack on the Khan Younis Training Centre took place Wednesday, during which two tank rounds hit a building that shelters 800 people.

Nine people were killed and 75 injured in the attack, according to White.

“Two tank rounds hit a building that shelters 800 people,” Thomas White, Director of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Gaza, said on X.

According to an Anadolu reporter, a fire erupted at the center as a result of the Israeli shelling.

UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths said heavy bombardment of Khan Younis continues.

“Ordering trapped people to evacuate and bombing them before they can even do so is callous,” Griffiths said on X.

The Israeli offensive has left 85% of Gaza’s population internally displaced amid acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine, while 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the UN.

*Diyar Guldogan from Washington contributed to this report

Gaza’s Health Ministry accused the Israeli army Wednesday of shelling two medical facilities in the southern city of Khan Younis.

“Israeli forces are extensively shelling the vicinity of Nasser Medical Complex and al-Amal Hospital” in Khan Younis, ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra told Anadolu.

He said Israeli forces blocked roads to the two facilities and prevented ambulance dispatches there.

The spokesman warned that patients and medical staff at the two facilities “are at severe risk.”

Palestinian health authorities have repeatedly accused the Israeli army of targeting hospitals and ambulances during its deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7.

Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reports Israeli forces have imposed a “complete curfew” around al-Amal Hospital as Israel continues its assault on Khan Younis.

Israeli shelling of the al-Satar al-Gharbi area of Khan Younis has led to the deaths of at least three people including two children.

Israeli forces are inside Al-Khair Hospital, between Khan Younis and Rafah, according to the UN humanitarian agency’s (OCHA) latest update, while three hospitals and an ambulance headquarters are under siege in Khan Younis.

The main medical facilities surrounded by heavy fighting in Khan Younis are:

Nasser Hospital
Al-Amal Hospital
Al-Aqsa Hospital

According to israeli authorities, 1,139 Israelis were killed in southern Israel by Hamas on October 7. Israel says 136 Israelis and foreign indiciduals are still held captive by Hamas in Gaza.

Gaza, (AA, Aljazeera, Wafa): According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, 195 Palestinians were killed by Israeli indiscriminate bombing in the last 24 hours in Gaza Strip.

The Ministry said total number of Palestinians killed since October 7 has risen to 25,490, including 10,400 children, 7,100 women and 63,354 injured. 7,000 Palestinians are still missing.

There was mass panic as Israeli forces issued evacuation orders for about 513,000 people crammed into an area in southern Gaza to flee elsewhere.

Medical sources tell Al Jazeera “at least 40” Palestinians were killed in Khan Younis over the day while Israeli bombings are preventing the recovery of “dozens” more bodies.

Israeli forces targeted a school in Khan Younis that was sheltering hundreds of displaced Palestinians, critically injuring at least eight people, according to Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud.

“We heard from paramedics and first responders that it was difficult to transfer those injured inside the school to Nasser Hospital … despite the fact it was a very short distance,” said Mahmoud, reporting from Rafah.

“The intensity of the bombing prevented the ambulance and paramedics from getting to the school … this is what we have been seeing since the early hours of this morning.”

As a days-long, intense Israeli bombing campaign continues in Khan Younis, the UN reports that almost 90,000 residents and 425,000 displaced people have been ordered by the Israeli military to leave certain residential areas in the city in southern Gaza.

The Israeli military has killed three Palestinian civilians in strikes on the headquarters of the Palestine Red Crescent Society in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, the organisation says.

“Three displaced people were martyred and two others were injured as a result of the occupation’s targeting in front of the northern gate of the association’s headquarters in Khan Yunis,” the medical charity wrote on X.

According to Wafa news agency, the Palestinian Red Crescent said that three displaced people were killed, and two others were injured, after Israeli fighter jets targeted the northern gate of the Red Crescent headquarters in Khan Younis.

According to medical sources, at least 50 people were killed and nearly 120 injured after Israeli airstrikes shelled the western areas of Khan Younis during the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the UN humanitarian office warned Tuesday that the Gaza Strip will “bleed to death” amid the denial of humanitarian access to the Palestinian enclave.

”The recurrent denial of access of humanitarian teams to northern Gaza is preventing the needed scale-up of life-saving operations,” Olga Cherevko, a spokesperson for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), said in a statement

”Today was the first time that we managed to reach Al-Shifa Hospital after five days of denied and aborted missions,” she added.

“Equipment, fuel, water and food are all in very short supply,” the spokesperson said. ”The doctors told us stories today of incredible courage of people’s strength and resilience and the suffering we saw coming here is unimaginable.”

She cited a doctor in Al-Shifa Hospital as saying ”we are so alone in this world; they have forgotten us. “The world must not grow numb to the suffering of the people in Gaza.”

”Unless we are enabled to with safe, meaningful and sustained access to these areas, Gaza will simply bleed out,” Cherevko.

According to Israeli authorities, 1,139 Israelis were killed in southern Israel by Hamas on October 7. 136 Israelis and foreign nationals are still being detained by Hamas in Gaza Strip.

A ministry statement said Palestinians killed included 10,400 children, 7,100 women and 63,000 others have been injured in the offensive during the same period. 7,000 Palestinians are still missing.

“Many people are still trapped under rubble as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.

The Israeli offensive has left 85% of Gaza’s population internally displaced amid acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine, while 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the UN.

Some 70,000 houses have been completely destroyed in Israeli attacks, and 290,000 houses were made uninhabitable.

On Israeli attacks on the health care sector, the statement said 337 health care workers and 45 civilian defense officials have so far been killed.

Since Oct. 7, a total of 119 journalists have lost their lives in Israeli attacks in Gaza.

Attacks threw health care in crisis, endangering lives

Israeli forces detained 99 healthcare workers and 10 journalists, and 2 million people were displaced in the Gaza Strip.

Pointing to the inhumane conditions in crowded shelters where Palestinian displaced seek refuge, the statement said 400,000 cases of infectious diseases and more than 8,000 cases of Hepatitis A have been detected as a result of Israel’s forced displacement.

Some 60,000 pregnant women in Gaza face critical risks due to the inability to provide health care, while 350,000 individuals with chronic illnesses are facing critical risks due to the lack of medication.

The Israeli army destroyed 140 government facilities as well as 99 schools and universities, while partially damaging 295 schools and universities.

Outside Gaza, there are 11,000 injured people who need treatment, and 10,000 cancer patients are facing the risk of death due to inadequate health care.

The statement said the Israeli army damaged 253 mosques and also caused the destruction of three churches.

Israel targeted 150 health care institutions in Gaza, rendered 53 health centers and 30 hospitals inoperative, and made 122 ambulances unusable.

Israel also targeted Palestine’s cultural heritage, destroying 200 historical and cultural assets in Gaza.

The statement further decried how the Israeli army has launched more than 65,000 tons of explosives at Gaza since Oct. 7.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army said Tuesday that at least 21 troops were killed and several others injured in a single ambush in the central Gaza Strip.

In a statement, army spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said the incident took place near the Kissufim border community as Hamas attacked the soldiers attempting to destroy military infrastructure of the Palestinian resistance group.

He said the Hamas fighters fired a rocket-propelled grenade at an Israeli tank, while, simultaneously, an explosion caused two two-story buildings to collapse.

“The buildings collapsed due to this explosion, while most of the forces were inside and near them,” Hagari added.

He said an investigation had been launched into the incident as the explosion was the result of mines planted by Israeli soldiers, though the cause of their detonation is yet to be confirmed.

The deaths bring the death toll of Israeli soldiers in Gaza since a ground assault began on Oct. 27 to 219, while the army’s overall death toll since the launch of the Israeli offensive against Gaza on Oct. 7 has risen to 556.

According Israeli authorities, 1,139 Israelis were killed in southern Israel by Hamas on October 7. 136 Israelis are held captive by Hamas in Gaza.

London (The Muslim News): More than 10,000 children have been killed by Israeli indiscriminate bombings and ground operations in Gaza in nearly 100 days of war, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, with thousands more missing, presumed buried under rubble, Save the Children said.

Jason Lee, Save the Children’s Country Director for the occupied Palestinian territory, said: “For every day without a definitive ceasefire, 100 children on average have been killed. There can never be any justification for killing children. The situation in Gaza is monstrous and a blight on our common humanity.

The latest data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza shows more than 10,000 of Gaza’s 1.1 million children – or 1% of the total child population – have been killed since an attack on Israel on 7 October and the assault on Gaza that has followed. The war will have been ongoing for 100 days on Sunday 14 January.

Children in Gaza surviving the violence are enduring unspeakable horrors, including life-changing injuries, burns, disease, inadequate medical care, and losing their parents and other loved ones. They have been forced to flee violence, often repeatedly, with no safe place to go, and face the terror of an uncertain future. About 1,000 children in Gaza have lost one or both of their legs, many having them amputated without anesthetic, and will require a lifetime of medical care, reports Save the Children.

Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip’s southern cities of Rafah and Khan Younis killed and injured at least 12 Palestinians overnight.

In the early hours of this morning, a number of civilians were reported killed and others sustained injuries as the Israeli Defence Forces continue its devastating war of genocide against the Gaza Strip for the 98th consecutive day, reports Wafa news agency.

In central Gaza, Israeli warplanes targeted a residential building in the Al-Mashaala neighborhood in Deir Al-Balah. Simultaneously, Israeli artillery shelled the town of Al-Zawaida and the neighboring Nusseirat and Al-Bureij refugee camps, resulting in casualties.

In Khan Yunis, south of the Strip, over 30 bodies arrived at hospitals in the city due to the ongoing Israeli airstrikes in various parts of the province.

Further, Israeli air force conducted intense raids in the central area of Khan Yunis, targeting ambulance and rescue crews as they worked to transport the wounded and retrieve the martyrs.

Earlier last night, nine civilians were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a residence in the Shawka area, east of Rafah in southern Gaza.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams transported nine bodies during the Israeli targeting of the Abu Senema family home in the neighborhood.

The airstrikes targeted the Abu Namous family’s home in Khan Younis, according to information acquired by Anadolu on Thursday from local sources.
Seven people were killed, including women and children, while 25 were injured.

Separately, five people were killed and many others injured in strikes on a home in a northern area of Rafah and a shelter for displaced people.
Shelling also reportedly caused numerous injuries in northeastern Rafah.

Israel has bombed Gaza since October 7, killing at least 23,465 Palestinians, including 10,000 children, 7,000 women, wounded 59,604 and 7,000 Palestinians missingmore, according to health officials.

According to the UN, around 85% of Gazans have been displaced, with all of them experiencing food insecurity. Hundreds of thousands of people remain without shelter, and fewer than half of the assistance trucks arrived before the war began.

Three more Palestinian journalists were murdered in fresh Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, increasing the total to 115 since October 7, according to the government media office.

A statement by the media office identified the slain journalists as Ahmed Badir, Sherif Okasha, and Heba Al-Abadla, without giving any further details.

According to an earlier announcement, Badir was killedin an Israeli bombardment on a residence near the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip

According to Israeli authorities, 1,139 Israelis were killed on October 7 by Hamas. Israel says Hamas still holds 136 Israelis captive in Gaza.

Latest attack comes as Israel has intensified bombing and ground incursions in central and southern Gaza, with at least 147 people killed in the past day.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Palestinian ambassador to UN, Riyad Mansour, said eleven Palestinians have been killed every hour in the Gaza conflict that began in October.

Mansour said residents in Gaza are being killed, tortured and humiliated, and children are being amputated and orphaned as he called for an end to Israeli atrocities in the Palestinian enclave at a UN General Assembly meeting on a US veto for a Gaza cease-fire, reported Andolu Agency.

“During these 90 days, 11 Palestinians were killed every hour, including seven women and children. Every single hour for 90 days. Hundreds are killed every day to this day,” he said.

“Ninety days of hell on earth. Ninety days of massacres. How many more Palestinians killed till you say enough is enough? How many more tragedies? How much more destruction?” said the envoy.

Mansour said 1% of Palestinians in Gaza have been killed, and “that is the equivalent of 3 million Americans.”

“Three percent of Palestinians in Gaza have been wounded. Take a moment and imagine what that represents compared to your own population. That is the equivalent of 10 million Americans,” he said. “Eighty-seven percent of Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced. Take a moment and imagine what that represents compared to your own population. That is the equivalent of 284 million Americans.”

Mansour said supporting an immediate cease-fire is the only moral, legitimate and responsible position.

“Our people have a right to life. To freedom. To justice. Palestine is here to stay. The Palestinian people are here to stay. The Palestinian people will not disappear, but their resilience is no reason to prolong their suffering,” said the envoy

“Don’t call for peace and spread fire. If you want peace, start with a cease-fire. Cease fire. Cease fire. Now,” he said.

Israel intensifies bombing and ground incursions in central and southern Gaza with dozens killed in overnight attacks, including 15 from one family in Rafah City – an Israeli-declared “safe zone”.

The Israeli military says it has hit 150 targets around Gaza in a day as it continues to bomb areas in and around Maghazi and Khan Younis.

Deadly overnight Israeli attacks in central and southern Gaza have continued. At least 15 people, mostly women and children, belonging to the same family in Rafah, and six people sheltering in refugee camps in central Gaza, were killed in those attacks.

Daily raids by Israeli forces across the West Bank have intensified since October 7, with at least 340 Palestinians killed and almost 4,000 wounded.

Overnight, homes were targeted in the western side of Rafah city in the Tall as-Sultan area. This is very close to al-Mawasi evacuation zone, where many Palestinians are living in makeshift tents.

Fifteen people, all from the same family, were killed in the overnight strikes on Rafah. The vast majority are women and children, all sheltering in the same home.

On the eastern side of Rafah, the Israeli military is still carrying out artillery shelling on homes and razing agricultural land. This is taking place east of Salah al-Din Street.

In the Bureij and Maghazi refugee camps, the Israeli military has continued its bombardment. At least six people are reported killed as of the early hours of this morning.

We were expecting a de-escalation of Israel’s aerial bombardment as the war enters its third phase, but we are seeing the opposite.
We can now bring you more on the Israeli air strike in Tall as-Sultan that our colleague Hani Mahmoud mentioned earlier.

As he mentioned, 15 people, including women and children, were killed in the attack that targeted a house.

“We were bombed tonight while in a house that was crowded with displaced people,” Harb Nofal, a resident of the house that was targeted, said.

“There are four women among those killed. What was their fault? What was the fault of the children [who were killed]?”

Dozens of Palestinian civilians were killed, and others were injured, in missile and artillery shelling and gunfire by the Israeli occupation forces in various areas of the Gaza Strip, on the 96th day of the aggression against Gaza, Wafa news agency reported.

WAFA correspondent said that six civilians were killed and others were wounded by bullets from Israeli occupation forces stationed on the coastal road in the Sheikh Ajlin area, southwest of Gaza City. They were taken to Al-Shifa Hospital, west of the city.

15 civilians were killed and dozens were injured as a result of Israeli warplanes bombing with a missile an inhabited house belonging to Nofal family, west of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip. The majority of them were transferred to Abu Youssef Al-Najjar Hospital in the city.

Israeli warplanes bombed a house in Deir al-Balah camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip, causing dead and wounded who were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

The Israeli occupation artillery shelled the eastern and southern areas of the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, and dozens were killed and wounded, the majority of whom were displaced from Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip.

The occupation artillery also bombed Al-Bureij and Al-Maghazi camps in the middle of the Gaza Strip, killing at least twenty civilians, the majority of whom were children, women, and the elderly.

A number of civilians were killed and others were injured as a result of the IDF targeting a house belonging to the Asalia family in the town of Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli gunboats fired dozens of rocket shells towards citizens’ homes in Al-Waha and Sudaniya areas and the outskirts of the Beach Camp, west of Gaza City and off the central sea and south of the Strip, resulting in dozens of injuries.

London, (The Muslim News): Over 4,000 Palestinian students have been killed and 8,059 injured in Gaza and the occupied West Bank since October 7, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Education.

The ministry stated that 4,257 students were killed in the Gaza Strip and 39 in the West Bank.

In Gaza, 281 government schools and 65 UN Relief and Works Agency for Refugees schools were attacked and vandalised, with 83 seriously damaged and seven destroyed.

On Tuesday, the Israeli army attacked the city of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, clashing with Palestinians.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its medical teams treated eight Palestinians injured by Israeli live bullets in the Askar refugee camp in Nablus City.

According to eyewitnesses, Israeli forces attacked the camp and encircled a home. The Red Crescent and the Israeli army initially denied their medical professionals access to the injured Palestinians but subsequently permitted them.

Israeli forces also attacked the Balata refugee camp in Nablus, resulting in confrontations with Palestinian fighters, but no injuries were recorded.

Early on Tuesday, the Israeli army struck a home Palestinian in Tulkarem refugee camp, leaving nine Palestinians injured, according to another statement by the Red Crescent.

On Monday night, the Israeli army killed three Palestinians in the city of Tulkarem.

A Palestinian man in his early 30s was killed Tuesday afternoon after being shot by Israeli occupation forces near the military checkpoint of Ein Sinya to the north of Ramallah, according to the Ministry of Health, bringing the death toll of Palestinians in the West Bank from Israeli fire since October 7 to 341.

The young man, who was identified as 31-year-old Ibrahim Samih Jayousi, was shot dead by the occupation forces near the said checkpoint north of Ramallah.

Local sources said that forces opened fire at a man near the Ain Sinya checkpoint after he allegedly attempted to carry out a stabbing attack. The occupation forces closed the checkpoint in the aftermath of the shooting and prevented Palestinians from crossing.

Israeli settlers fired live bullets at a group of farmers Tuesday while they were cultivating their lands in the town of Al-Samu’, south of Hebron, while the occupation soldiers also detained two of them.

A WAFA correspondent reported that settlers from the illegal “Otnael” settlement opened fire on a group of farmers in Khallet Nias in the town of Al-Samou’, while they were cultivating their lands.

No injuries were reported.

The Israeli army also detained farmers Turki Shehda Abu Awad and Salim Hamdan Abu Awad. The occupation imprisoned a number of farmers and stopped them from entering their farms in the Sadda al-Thaghla neighbourhood, east of Yatta and south of Hebron.

According to a WAFA correspondent, Israeli occupation soldiers shot and killed three Palestinian males in their early twenties Monda night in the town of Iktaba, east of Tulkarem City.

A special Israeli unit, accompanied by a large military force, stormed the town of Iktaba amid the heavy firing of live bullets towards a parked vehicle before cordoning off one of the houses in the area and fatally shooting three youths inside.

The Ministry of Health announced that three youths arrived dead at the Tulkarem Governmental Hospital after being shot by Israeli forces.

The three were identified as Yusuf Ali Al-Kholi, 22, Ahed Salman Mousa, 23, and Tareq Amjad Shahin, 24.

According to sources, Israeli forces ran over one of the bodies with their military jeep before withdrawing from the area.

A fourth youth was shot and injured by the occupation soldiers during the military offensive and detained despite his injuries.

National and Islamic factions declared a general strike in Tulkarem Tuesday, in mourning for the three slain Palestinians.

Meanwhile in Gaza, Health Ministry said 126 Palestinians were killed in Israeli indiscriminate bombings on Tuesday, the 95th day of the war.

Health Ministry said that 23,210 Palestinians have been killed including 9,600 children, 6750 women, 59,167 injured by Israeli bombing in Gaza since 7 Ocober. 7,000 Palestinians are missing in the war.

According to Israeli authorities 1,139 Israelis were killed in southern Israel on October 7. 136 Israelis are captives by Hamas in Gaza.

London, (The Muslim News): The Gaza Ministry of Health announced on Monday that at leas 249 Palestinians have been killed and 510 wounded in the previous 24 hours in Gaza.

Israeli attacks on Sunday targeted the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, killing several people, including children. According to an Anadolu correspondent, the dead and injured were brought to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, a corpse and 17 injured individuals were transferred on Sunday because of Israel’s assault on two houses in Deir al-Balah.

The group also stated that Israeli forces opened fire on many civilians on Salah al-Din Street, the Gaza Strip’s main highway.

The Israeli army is also accused of targeting the same hospital with drones forcing patients to flee under the fire. “The Israeli occupation is terrorising the patients and medical staff at the facility by attacking it with drones,” the ministry said in a statement.

“The Israeli drones intensively fire towards the buildings and areas of the hospital, targeting anyone in motion,” it added.

The Israeli army’s attempt to take the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital out of service constitutes a death sentence for thousands of wounded and patients inside, the ministry also said.

The latest body count rose as the Gaza authorities announced that 6,000 seriously injured individuals must be transferred out of the enclave for treatment amid a humanitarian crisis caused by Israel’s blockade and continued bombardment.

It stated that 30 hospitals in the vicinity are out of service as more than 58,000 people have been injured due to the attacks.

“We call on our brothers in Egypt to urgently open the Rafah border crossing and approve the immediate transfer of 6,000 critically injured people out of Gaza for treatment due to the inadequacy of hospitals in the Gaza Strip to respond to so many patients,” it said.

Doctors Without Borders, announced late Saturday its withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, including the Al-Aqsa Hospital, in the face of increasing Israeli army attacks.

The Israeli onslaught has left Gaza in ruins, with 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure damaged or destroyed, and nearly 2 million residents displaced amid acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicines.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, 22,835 Palestinians have been killed, including 9,600 children, 6,750 women and 58,416 injured by Israeli indiscriminate bombing. 7,000 Palestinians are still missing.

According to Israeli authorities 1,139 Israelis were killed by Hamas on October 6 in Israel. 129 Israelis are still held captive by Hamas in Gaza.

JENIN, Palestine (AA): At least eight Palestinians were killed early Sunday when Israel bombed a civilian gathering area in the Jenin Governorate in the northern occupied West Bank.

In a statement, the Palestinian Health Ministry said: “Six Palestinians were martyred when the Israeli occupation bombed a gathering of citizens in Jenin.” Since the statement was made, two more Palestinians have succombed to injuries sustained in the Israeli drone attack.

Out of the eight Palestinians killed by Israeli drone attack, included four brothers, according to Wafa news agency.

In an official statement, the Ministry of Health said the four siblings, Hazza’, 27, Rami, 22, Ahmed, 24, and Alaa Najeh Darwish, 29, in addition to Razqallah Nabil Sleiman, 18, Mohammad Yasser As’ous and Wadia Yaser As’ous, 18, were killed in the Israeli drone strike. The name of the eighth Palestinian has not been released yet.

The eight, including the four brothers, are residents of the village of Muthallath ash-Shuhada in the Jenin province. added Wafa.

The Israeli army bombed a public gathering in Martyrs’ Square near the city of Jenin in the West Bank, eyewitnesses told Anadolu.

Witnesses said the bombing resulted in many casualties, with human remains scattered at the scene, and the injured were taken to Jenin Governmental Hospital in the city.

Israeli police officer killed in dawn raid

Earlier, at daybreak Sunday, Israeli forces stormed the city of Jenin – the center of the governorate – including its refugee camp and several neighborhoods. Sounds of gunfire and explosions were heard, according to witnesses.

Witnesses said that a helicopter bombed the camp, but no casualties were reported there.

At least one Israeli police officer was killed due to injuries sustained during the raid.

At least four Israeli officers were injured in an explosion during the raid, and two sustained serious injuries, said a joint Israeli army and police statement.

The wounded border police officers were taken to a hospital in northern Israel, where injured Shay Germay, a woman officer, was reported dead, a later joint statement said.

The casualties came from the explosion of a device on the roadside as an Israeli forces’ vehicle was on site during the raid.

Images on social media showed a vehicle belonging to Israeli forces overturned due to the impact of the explosion.

Tensions have been high across the West Bank since fighting broke out in Gaza on Oct. 7 between Palestinian groups and Israel.

The number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces and Israeli Jewish settlers in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, is at least 330, according to Health Ministry data. Israel has detained 5,630 Palestinians without trial in West Bank since 7 October.

In Gaza, Gaza’s media office condemned the killing of two more Palestinian journalists, bringing the number of media workers killed to 109 since the war began, reported Al Jazeera.

The media office denounced “in the strongest terms this heinous crime” committed by the “Israeli occupation army against journalists”.

Since Oct. 7, Israeli attacks in the West Bank have escalated simultaneously with the devastating war against Gaza, which has killed at least 22,722 Palestinians, including 9,600 children, 6,750 women, injured 58,166; 7,000 Palestinians are still missing.

According to Israeli authorities, 1,139 were killed on 7 October in Israel by Hamas.

The conflict has also caused extensive infrastructure damage and an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, according to authorities in the Gaza Strip and the UN.

Palestine (The Muslim News): At least 22 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes overnight Friday across the Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian news agency, WAFA.

Israeli planes bombed two residences in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza and the Al-Manara area in the southern city of Khan Younis.

News of the latest casualties of Israel’s indiscriminate killing comes as the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor announced that more than 90,000 Gazans (4% of the population) are dead, wounded, or unaccounted for.

According to the Geneva-based Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, Israel’s continued air, land, and sea shelling has damaged more than 70% of the civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip since October 7.

“Israel is pushing hundreds of thousands of civilians towards mass forced displacement,” said the group in a statement.

Hundreds of bodies that cannot be recovered remain on roads, notably in regions where the Israeli army has conducted ground assaults.

According to the group, Israel’s attacks are an “apparent attempt” to extend its territory to include the whole Gaza Strip, uprooting the majority of the population in violation of international law, which “likely amounts to war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.”

Referring to reports that Israel is prohibiting humanitarian supplies from entering the Strip more frequently, Euro-Med noted that Israel is using “starvation as a weapon.”

It reaffirmed calls for UN special rapporteurs and the International Criminal Court prosecutor to investigate “violations that have been widely documented since Israel began its genocidal war on Gaza.”

The onslaught has left Gaza in ruins, with 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure damaged or destroyed and nearly 2 million residents displaced amid acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine.

The UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) report has more harrowing points about the situation in the Gaza Strip.

As of January 3, only 13 of Gaza’s 36 hospitals were “partially functional,” and even those faced staff and medical supply shortages. Fuel, food, and drinking water are all “urgent” requirements for all medical facilities.

There are only nine partially functional hospitals in the south, where most Gazans have been forced to go by Israeli bombardment, and they are operating at three times their capacity.

The risk of famine “is increasing daily,” and UN agencies’ plans to expand ready-to-eat food options “are falling short of meeting people’s crucial caloric needs”.

Every citizen in Gaza has been classified as being in “urgent need of food assistance” every day, although daily assistance reached only 8% of the targeted population on average in the last week of December.

An overwhelming majority of Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced internally, with the latest report by OCHA putting the number at a staggering 85 percent at the end of 2023.

The 1.9 million internally displaced Palestinians include many who have been displaced multiple times, as families are forced to move repeatedly in search of safety, which is guaranteed nowhere in the Strip.

Nearly 1.4 million of these internally displaced people are sheltering in 155 UNRWA facilities across all five governorates in the Strip. All the facilities are “far exceeding their intended capacity”.

Following intensified Israeli attacks on Khan Younis and Deir el-Balah, more than one million people were crammed into an extremely overcrowded space in the Rafah governorate.

According to Gaza Ministry of Health, 22,722 Palestinians have been killed, including 9,600 children, 6,750 women and 58,166 injured and 7,000 missing since October 7.

According to Israeli authorities 1,139 Israelis were killed on October 7 in Israel. 129 Israelis are still held captive by Hamas in Gaza.
