So what is Affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing basically is a system where a person (affiliate) promotes/sells a merchant's product, using his/her own affiliate link given by the merchant. Then the affiliate will get paid everytime a person will buy the product of the merchant through his/her affiliate link. Although we can also consider Adsense ads as also a way of affiliate marketing, where the person don't have to buy any product, but the affiliate will get paid per click of the ads.

George Brown's Google Sniper Review

I've been receiving some mails asking me about this new Product by George Brown the "Google Sniper"

So what is it really about? Is it Just another product that will give you junk information?

First, To be honest, I haven't bought the product. Yes I know what you are thinking, how can I give a review of a product which I don't have. Like some of the Affiliates who are receiving emails about this Google sniper, made me a little bit curious, especially most of all of known affiliates are promoting this product that was launched last week. Their emails (as usual) are full of good things about the product that made me want to buy this product too...

So since I don't want to waste any money on useless things, I first consulted the web, I looked into forums and since i'm also member of another coaching club by Mark Ling "Affilorama" (which by the way gives a really good training for affiliate marketers; check it out here http://bit.ly/4xJ1lt). So some members bought the product and we discussed the contents.
Here are some of things that I found out. (these are just opinions from other users)

Pros:

It makes use of some basic strategies in affiliate marketing, which are really easy to do, even for total beginners like finding low competition keywords, niche and products. But here is his "strategy" you will be thought how to build a what he calls a "sniper site", based on those long tail keywords, that will only take more or less 3 hours to complete. And for sure the sites will really made it on google's 1st page of the search results (really smart trick there). Once your sites are up in the 1st pagea of google, you can expect that free traffic will start to pour in to your site (cool), and you don't have to spend anymore money to maintain or optimize the site. Unlike what normal affiliates used to do, using the old strategy of building a site, then filling it with quality contents (which really is tiring sometimes), then create links. In google sniper it will just teach you all the "tactics" that you can use to get a site up and ranking in hours. The best part, that this product brags about is how your very simple site can then convert your visitors into buyers of your affiliate products, by making a very good write up, that he will teach through his written and video presentations (interesting).

cons:

Google Sniper will just teach you all the "tactics" (some of this are already used by other marketers even before Sniper is made, well at least we can be sure that it will work). You just learn the shortcuts of the business,which is a good thing but it is still best to learn the foundations in creating a really high quality site that people can re-visit and sure to last for long, (i'm not saying that "sniper sites" will not last long). Because, If you were able to learn the basics of how a site operates in google, you can do more on your sites other than selling affiliate products. I also think that by just making sniper sites, you may miss out on building relationships with other people on the web, that I think is important. Nothing beats quality backlinks from other higher page rank sites for your good content (which "sniper sites" don't have). Google Sniper will just focus on getting on google's 1st page and then promote affiliate products. If you really want to know the business and find out in depth how it works, then this may not be the product for you.

To conclude this review, I can say that this is a good quality product. If you want to start earning soon, then I can say that this product is for you. But then like what I said, if you want to really learn the online business in depth and do more than selling affiliate products, then you can use your earnings from Google sniper and get a coaching club membership (like Affilorama).

So have a nice blog or website, full of unique contents, really informative and interesting. But it's been months and not a single person made his way to your site. The most obvious reason is that, people don't know about your blog, and so no one find his/her way into your site. People (internet users) will usually click what site appears in the first page of their google search result page, don't expect people will to go through all the pages of a 1,000,000+ search results. So how can you have your site/blog land on that precious 1st page of google and better on the #1 search result for your keywords?

The answer is to create links: These links will lead people into your site and then at the same time can help build the reputation of your site/blog...thus bringing it up in google search results.

I will share with you this 5 easy ways that you can do to accomplish this goal.

1. Forum/Blog comments - You can join in a forum that is about the niche of your website or blog, like for example, if your blog is about gardening, then you can join a forum for gardeners. Make friends around and then make posts, ask and answer question, and at the bottom of your posts, you can have your signature with your site's name and url in it. You can also do it on commenting to other blogs, just as long as what you wrote is worth reading and helpful, so that you can give a good impression on other readers, prompting them to click your link.

2. Articles - This method requires work on your part. Then send tweets about your blog updates and see how many people will click your link to your site.

Blog your way to make money online

Now this is one of the basic strategy that anyone can use if you want to start making some money online. The reason for this is because:

it's simple, any one can easily setup their own blog,
it's fast, you can do this in no time,
and it's FREE... you don't have to own a domain to make a blog.

To start, I'm assuming you already had a blog before, if not you can sign up at any free blogsites. But the two topsites are blogger (owned by google) and wordpress. But I recommend blogger since it can give you more flexibility with the content of your blog, meaning, you can use it to advertise products if you want in the future...

Log-in to blogger then under your blog's name you can just click "Monetize"
If this is your first time and haven't signed up for an Adsense account before, you can just create and account, but if you do have one before, just log in. (you can't have two adsense account, under the same payee name).

Once you've log-in, you can choose how ads will be placed, there are several ways to choose from, once you've picked one, you can now close the adsense and go back to your blog. Adsense will automatically post ads to your blog that are related to your topics.

Now is the part where you will have to add content to your site. You have to make your content interesting and informative so people will continue to read your posts and recommend it to others as well.
Just be sure that you comply with the terms and policy of google adsense on blogposts.

Once you setup your blog, just wait for people to visit your page and when they click an ad that is posted by Adsense, you get paid. That's how easy you can earn with adsense, the earnings you can get will depend on the price of the ads that is posted by adsense. Some ads costs higher than others, (I will make a separate post on how you can check how much an ad costs). So for now Just keep on updating your blog, and promote reader interaction so people would keep on coming back to your blog site.

A tip for your adsense ads:

If you don't like the way ads are placed on your site, you can just easily go to layout and then you will see that you can remove/add a "gadget" boxes. So meaning if you choose to add a gadget, you will taken to a list of gadgets that you can add to your blog, and one of them is an adsense. Now once you choose "adsense ads" you can just drag it anywhere in your blog, or change it's colors to suit your blog's design.
