The story is about that ONE DAY Chick Benetto spent with his DEAD mother. It was the day when he decided to take his own life. Must have been a life changing situation for him because he discovered a lot of thing from his past that he never knew all his life.

It could made one realize what a mother can do for her children. She can endure pain just to make sure her children have someone to lean on, she can swallow her pride just to keep promises and so her kids can live according to their dreams.

When you look into your mother, you are looking at the purest love you will ever know.
A mother's love never judge, never ceases and never fails.

After reading this, you will definitely think about your mother and all her sacrifices that she did for you and your family.

Yesterday as I was trying to check on my stuff in my room, I found my notebook before where I used to write my poems and I was also able to read my notes on this book (Purpose Driven Life) and some of things there makes sense now than before. I started reading this book last April 12, 2009 - June 06, 2009. I read one chapter a day and let me share the first chapter today and the next chapters on the next days.

Ok, I'll be biased! This blog is about single ladies out there (including me) who has no date on this Valentine's Day. Men have a better ways on celebrating this occasion, so I don't have to write for them! haha!

Let's face it, this is one if the most grueling fact that single ladies face every year! How to celebrate VALENTINES DAY! Well ladies, its not yet the end of the world and you are not alone! Remember, you are single for a single reason, He doesn't deserve you and you deserve to be happy! So, get your sexiest dress and stilettos and let's get the party started!

1. Focus on your Work

Don't be saddened by the fact that you have to work that day! Its a blessing! At least, you have 8 hours not to think about this day! Keep a positive mind! Your office mates will definitely tease you for being dateless this day but don't let them put you down.

2. Dress Up!

It's not yet late! Get your most valuable little black dress and flaunt what you got! Someone might notice and ask you out ;) Ladies, don't be lazy to dress up. It's not about being materialistic or what. When you dress up, you feel good about yourself and it adds to your confidence. Guys love confident pretty lass!

3. Text your Girlfriends!

Go out with your girl friends! If going to malls annoys you because of couples dating, you can go to a spa for a whole body massage or foot spa. You can also go to a salon for a total make over. Dye your hair, Cut your hair, have some manicure and pedicure. In short, pamper yourself with your other single friends.

4. Party!

After pampering yourself, go to the nearest bar, drink with your girlfriends and have some fun. You can meet new people there and enjoy the rest of the night. There are a lot of parties on Valentines day for single people. Some even has dress codes! for example:

BLUE - broken-hearted

RED - single and searching

GREEN - dating but still searching

YELLOW - complicated

PINK - virgin-al

ORANGE - one night only

It would be fun and very exciting!

5. Organize a Sleep Over Party.

After the party, offer your crib so your friends can rest and I'm sure, there are a lot of "kwento" after that night out! Girls never ran out of stories to tell! haha!

And that's it, the day is over and you are ready to face the next day!

Last Feb 06, 2012 I was able to attend my first seminar this year. And its about internet marketing. I have been trying so hard to get a slot since last year because this seminar is only held twice or thrice a year in this company. Luckily, I was able to file my leave that day to attend this seminar.

First, the location is very accessible. If you know MRT, just alight at Annapolis station and go straight ahead that street and you will find their building on the right side of the road. You don't have to ride a jeepney or anything. The staff are very accommodating and friendly as well. The room is well ventilated although it can only accommodate approximately 10 participants. Which for me is better because the speaker can monitor each one of us and can attend to all our questions.

Our speaker was Ms. Anna Turla of

She is very accommodating and she has excellent knowledge about the topic. She patterns the seminar according to what we need and the main reason why we attended it. And as a starter like me, I was able to grasp a lot of things and I have learned not only the things I wanted to learn but the input of the other participants also helped me to know the do's and don't in the internet world. Her main topics includes online selling and how to successfully market your business online.

Though it wasn't the main reason why I attended it, it made me realize a lot of things I can do online. And for me, the best thing about it is I was able to do a very professional website. Check this out. (Click the photo to re direct you to my self made website.)

I just need to improve on SEO which they also tackled. Web hosting and Affliliate Marketing are another topic that she taught us. Honestly, 7 hours of that lecture is not really enough and I wish we had more time and though I have learned a lot, there are a number of questions that generated in my mind. Not only questions but also ideas as well. But one thing I have learned, I should always READ, READ and READ forums so I can be updated and I can learn a lot from other people's experiences. Online world is not yet as established as other industry and there are a lot of scammers as well so, we must really be very vigilant and very careful on different sites that we join. But this is really the hottest trend now and we must learn to utilize it. Kudos to Business Coach Philippines and Ms Anna. Thanks a lot! My 3k is really very worth it! ~!~

PS: They serve 2 snacks (with drinks), Lunch (with drinks) and coffee. So you don't need to go out of the building to find something to munch on while she is discussing.

A Walk to Remember: Book Review

This is indeed a walk to be remembered. Made you realize that life is too short to be spent with resentments and hatred. And has pictured that true love comes in different mysterious ways. No age limit. It comes unexpectedly. Love comes when it should come. No holds bar. It will sprout when it's time and no one could tell who, when, where and how.

Jaimee Sullivan and Landon Carter had known each other since they were kids but they had never been friends although they attended most of their classes together. He hasn't paid attention to her because the students there find her strange and weird. However, Landon can't find a date for their homecoming dance because he just broke up with his gf and the only decent girl available is Jaimee. He asked her to be his date and she gladly said Yes, in one condition that he won't fall in love with her.

As they worked on their projects together, they can't help but fall for each other but, some good thing are not meant to last that long. And Jaimee is a lucky girl to do the things she wished to do before finally letting go.

It speaks mostly about destiny. That everyone has its own purpose and has it own reason/s for why's and why not's. Sometimes, most of us know the reason behind but most of us don't have any hint and we need to look for it and never stop until we discover it

It's the story of a photo found in the middle of a war by Logan. For some reason, it became his lucky charm and his best friend even believed that it was the reason why he survived war. After the death of his best friend, he thought it's time to know why he got that picture and who that woman in the picture is (Elizabeth). He thought he owe that person much of his life and thought he can pay her back by working in their kennel.

Everything started there. Their love, their good times together with Elizabeth's son and her family, their unexplained connection and their relationship started to make sense until she found out about her photo through her ex-husband Clayton who has been trying to control her life ever since their divorce but towards the end, she choose to see him as a person worthy of her and Ben's (their son) respect and love.

How to Handle Stress

Sorry If I wasn't able to blog that much for the past week and during my days off. I have been so stressed for some plans that didn't push thru for some reason or should I say, plans that were some sort of delayed. However, things are pretty doing well now and I am just so happy that I still have some backup plans that I need to pursue. However, these are the ways how I handled my stress.

1. Stress is all in the mind. Try to keep a POSITIVE attitude ALL THE TIME.

No matter how much stress is happening in your life, try to read between the lines and be out of your comfort zones. Think of the positive things that can happen when you conquer that "stressor". Never think of it as a stressor but as a blessing in disguise. That soon, something good will arise because of that.

2. Pray

You can not handle everything by yourself. You need a supreme being to guide you through. You need someone that can help you carry those negative thoughts running in your mind.

3. Find your most trusted friend!

Run through your phone book and call, text or message a friend whom you know can understand you. Make sure that person is not going thru a rough time as well, so, they can help you carry that kind of baggage with you. You need to vent out how you feel! You might feel scared, happy, anxious or what so ever. During this time, you need to feel loved and you need to be cared for by someone who knows you and what is going on with your life. It could be a friend, you family, you cousin and whoever you are comfortable telling your story.

4. Sleep and take a Rest

Aside from your emotional haggardness, your body needs a full blast of rest too. Personally, sleep is one of it so, I need a power sleep to help me through. If you think massage can help your body relax, go to your favorite spa and unwind. If food help you beat that stress, go to your favorite resto and dine out! If you need a vacation, file your vacation leave and go out of town!

Find the best stress reliever for you!

As I said, writing is one of my stress reliever and here I am venting out my feelings! ~!~

My cousins from New Zealand came here last Holiday season and I know, they have really missed the foods that we have here in the Philippines and so, this is what my Mom prepared for them. (Most of the foods here were cooked with love by mom! ~!~ )

1. Maja Blanca - Filipino dessert made from coconut milk, cornstarch, sugar with corn.

2. Cassava Cake - Made from grated cassava, eggs, coconut milk, sugar and baked.

3. Pork Barbecue

4. Puto - steamed rice cake or muffin

5. Dinuguan - In English, Pork Blood Stew. Which goes well with Puto! yum! :))

6. Biko - Rice cake with Latik

7. Embotido - Ground meat roll

8. Rellenong Bangus - Stuffed Mike fish

9. Sinigang sa Hipon - Shrimp in Sour Soup

10. Spaghetti (I know, this shouldn't be here but for some reason, Filipino children's party aren't complete without this!)

The reception was held in La Tora's Garden near Marikina River. It actually wasn't my first time there, my friend Cess also celebrated her debut there last 2005.

The food wasn't that great but the place was awesome, it didn't change from the first time I went there. It was well maintained and people were really nice.~!~

Yes, people do come and enter your life then after sometime, they would leave and that's it. It was over. It still doesn't make sense to me but one thing I know is certain. There is always a reason why you knew them. It must not be clear for you that moment but sooner or later, you will discover it. Sometimes, those reasons behind doesn't always mean good or are positive ones. Sometimes, you will feel bad and helpless. Sometimes,they could be part of what they call "blessing in disguise". However, what we should work on is how we react when that time comes and we must learn the art of letting go. Sometimes, they would just be physically be absent but would still be present in spirit (a great thanks to internet!). I know, it wouldn't be the same but what's important is at least, you find time to talk and catch up.

Sometimes, letting go also means selflessness. Especially when you know that it's the best for them and that is what they were dreaming of. It's hard to imagine that you will be left behind but we must learn how to learn from the past and look forward for the future and move on. It doesn't mean you have to forget, you just need to set aside those memories and create a new one with new people. Then, remember, its a cycle. Always be thankful for the people who weren't part of that cycle because somehow, they tend to be part of your life a bit longer that others.

I really find this site so cool! Its like a virtual business card. You can put in all the sites you have an account to and in just a single page, everyone can reach you and anyone can see what you are up to. It allows you to put up your own design (background), it has a number of new font styles that you can choose from and it's very user friendly. You can log in here to get your own E-business card. This is not only good for personal use but also for business as well. What made it even cooler is, you could get it for FREE! It's like free advertising on the web. Anytime from now, online branding will be a breeze.

Just a reminder, make sure, you know what you write in your blogs because it will represent you and who you are as a person. You must always be careful especially with the photos that you upload in the internet. Make sure you just upload photos that you are confident enough to show to everyone in order not to embarrass yourself and remember that what you are online could also affect your profession and your career. Some times, headhunters would google your name and make sure, they will like what they will see.
